I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
Telling him to quit is soft and won't move him from his addiction. Continuous reminders about telling him that he has to look around and that the effects of his addiction on his family are certainly worrying. It's no longer a healthy thing and that's why he needed to think of his activities since it's becoming harmful not just to him but also to his family. This shouldn't be a problem for him if he's moderating it but right now, he needs to moderate it. He can't be in whole stop, this just can't happen from someone who's addicted to gambling, it needs some process and moderation because a gradual process needs to happen.
Unless he feels something is wrong with him and he immediately asks @OP for help, @OP has to help him out of his gambling problem.
But we know that most gamblers will not realize they have a gambling addiction but refuse to tell the truth.
Maybe what @OP can do is tell his friend to reduce the amount of time and money he spends on gambling so he can slowly overcome his gambling addiction problem.
His friend must learn to control himself when gambling and limit the money for gambling.
Maybe it's hard for his friend but worth it because it will help him escape his gambling addiction.
An addicted gambler won't feel that there's something wrong and I feel the sense of urgency of what OP has stated because he feels guilty of what happened to his friend and he's got the influence before it happens.
The continuous conversation to his friend will keep him reminded that there's an actual wrong thing that's happening to him because he can't notice it. At least with that reminder, OP will feel that he's able to fill the guilt that he's feeling of what turned his friend right now.

I will share a little of my experience when I invite some friends who like to bet at local bookies.

A few months ago about 4 of my friends came to my local town house to bet on a football game and after a while they were arrested by law enforcement in my country because I live in a country where gambling is strictly prohibited and there are laws in it. They were all jailed for several days and had to pay fines to be released from prosecution.
The question here is, How does the police department know that they place bets, I feel like they send a big amount of money from the casino to their bank accounts and that was what triggered the alarms. Or maybe they post it in their social networks. I don't know, but he should have a lower profile to avoid this.
The local bookmaker has become the target of the police department and the police are waiting for betting activities to take place inside the bookie's house so that when making an arrest the police have sufficient evidence and several witnesses or other suspects who also take a fair share in the gambling activity.
I don't know what was done to the dealer, but some of the suspects who were caught could be released by paying a fine in exchange for the legal release that was carried out.
This seems unreasonable, but in my country it has become common sense that a suspect with a prison sentence can go free after paying a fine.

-snip-

Your story doesn't make sense? Where did they even do this gambling if it was banned throughout your country? Did they come from another region or country? What happened to the place that allowed them to place the bets or how did the police trace them? You are not responsible for their actions when it comes to online gambling. They would have stumbled across it one way or another, besides that - most countries that are strict on gambling are also pretty strict on cryptocurrency because of the reason you describe. If someone is a gambler to that level, they need to  hit rock bottom and accept it before they will be able to rid themselves of the habit. It's possible to go "cold turkey" on it, but requires real willpower and the ability to let go of previous losses.
Bookmakers use their houses as places to carry out betting activities and operate illegally so even though the country prohibits gambling there are still many local bookmakers offering bets to some gamblers.
If you ask how to trace it, we don't need to think about it anymore because the police definitely have a lot of informants and spies running around to find every illegal action.
Maybe you can ask this because you don't live in my country and also never felt what I experienced about this problem.

I know your conscience is after you, but first of all, it is his choice and he is already aware of it, so stop blaming yourself, but because we are good people, it is best to help him, like try to invite them or him back to your town again, but rather than gambling, do something else for a week, yes, a week, because by that time he can forget about gambling, and you should talk about the risk or scary stories about gambling addicts so that he would be awake, but if he is really uncontrollable, it is better to ask for help from experts.

I don't know why law enforcement agencies arrest  gamblers because I didn't see any offence in the gambling process. And if government want to remove gambling from the State system then the government should provide jobs for those guys because many of them are playing gamble because there is no any other thing to do to sustain their life in the family, do they use this gambling to feed and pay bills.
The addiction didn't come from your invitation but it was inbuilt of the guy. Addiction never comes from the outside but always from the inside which the heart. So don't blame yourself of his down fall.

I feel sorry about that and know that feeling guilty is very unpleasant and can damage our mentality, immediately wake him up, you can bring him to an expert if that's possible in your place but if he refuses then it's best to tell his family so he can get help from his family, and taking him to an expert to have a counseling session so he can get rid of addiction is the only way for your friend to get out of addiction, but actually without intention from yourself your friend will find it difficult to stop gambling because all the bad activities that we want to stop have to get out of the person's intentions weren't just those of the closest associates.

Even though it looked like it wouldn't be easy, he still had to try because it was his responsibility as a good friend. After all, he also didn't want to see his friend get too deep into gambling, so he had to try to help him get out of his gambling addiction problem. Maybe limiting the use of cellphones or PCs or those who have access to gambling is the thing that needs to be done and inviting him to do physical activity that can prevent him from thinking about gambling. It seems that his gambling addiction has entered his subconscious brain so he has become very fond of gambling.
If we discuss ways to minimize someone from being addicted to gambling, it's easy, but to stop someone who is already a gambling addict, it will be more difficult because you can't just say a word, but you have to take firm action, and not just anyone can take an action to stop an activity. bad thing done by a gambling addict.
Gambling is something that can damage the way the human brain works when it becomes addicted because if gambling addicts don't play gambling for a certain time they will have quite high emotions and anxiety.
But no matter how difficult it is, if it is based on noble goals and sincere intentions so that someone can leave bad activities, then you can be sure that one day you will get ease and success.
From this case we can conclude that bringing someone into gambling is not the right choice if the person cannot control himself.

Here I feel sorry for them if they have to deal with the law again so I teach and give them an understanding of crypto casino, after understanding I suggest using crypto casino which I believe they can use as well so they can bet on every sporting event freely and without having to afraid to face the law again.

And what concerns me is that one of them actually becomes a gambling addict in a crypto casino. It was a pity that he had lost his senses and forgot about his responsibilities as the head of the family to the point where he was more concerned with money at stake.
From that incident I felt very guilty for inviting him to bet at a crypto casino until he became an addict.

The excitement from each game can be feel by the experience of betting. The offline betting is all the time my favourite one, even though betting is purely prohibited in my country. You should choose the location untraceable one from the police. Mostly the old hidden places or old industrial areas building are used for this offline betting. Actually you was not aware of being captured, So you was played with out fear. The country which prohibits the gambling surely trace the gambling activities in their country. So it’s essential one for the offline gamblers choose the place for it. When you feel the excitement most probably you will become an gambling addict for sure.

Gambling addiction damages your story. Gambling should be fun, but addiction is bad. Your educated friend showed your group a safer technique, but your friend still got addicted.

Addiction requires skilled treatment. As their buddy, you can love and listen to them, but they must receive help and face the music. It's serious, and you're right to worry about your friend's safety. My advice? Help them get better and support them.

Since they have experienced being jailed, they should have taken a lesson from it. It is important that we'll know the gambling regulations in each country so we will not experience trouble. Regarding his gambling addiction, it is not your responsibility anymore but as a friend, you must still put an effort to convince him to know his limitations. Even if he doesn't follow your advice, at least you have done your part to remind him of the risks.

If gambling is strictly illegal in your country, I'd say it's a positive outcome that your friends were only detained for a few days and then paid fines. Of course, I don't believe it's the right legislative approach of a country to ban gambling instead of regulating it and enjoying profits, but it could've been worse.

I don't think it's your fault, though, op, that your friend became an addict. You couldn't have known, and addiction is something that a minority of gamblers suffers from.
You should urge your friend to realize the issue and switch to something less harmful (playing a computer game, perhaps, or gambling with toy money in a 'for fun' mode only?) and give custody over his money to a very trusted individual (a family member, perhaps) in the meantime.

I don't fully understand your story, your 4 friends placed bets at a local bookmaker but gambling is prohibited in your country? Does this mean it was an illegal gambling casino or bookmaker? If that's the case I think police is mostly interested in the criminals operating the illegal casino, so if your friends provide information for the police maybe they can get rid of the fine. In general I would be careful with friends that engage in illegal activities. Nothing wrong with gambling, but if its banned in your country you should think about making a trip to another country to gamble. Don't feel responsible for the actions of your friends.
Yes, my country prohibits gambling and indeed gambling activities are illegal activities in my country and even has a law on gambling, it's just that some bookies are still determined to do it because the profits are quite large and they can pay taxes for their own guarantees.
If you say a casino is not actually a casino because the local bookie only provides sports betting.

That's why I advise them to play at crypto casinos because my country prohibits gambling and I don't want my friends to have to deal with the law again.

You are really blaming yourself for this?
I mean, yes, you suggested an alternative for them to continue their hobby but that doesn't mean you pushed them to being gambling addicts now.
First of all, I do believe they are already gambling addicts from the beginning. Why would they even visit your place just to put a bet? Have you thought about that? That must mean they are already in trouble in their previous place and they want to continue what they are doing in another place.
They are already into gambling before you even suggested online casinos to them.
But, you could always tell them to keep it at a responsible amount of betting. You cannot stop them, just provide some details on how they can control it.

Previously they did not become gambling addicts because they bet only when there was a sports match and even then they only did it when their favorite team was playing.
What concerns me is not whether my friend is an addict or not, but that he really forgets his family and lets go of his responsibilities as the head of the family.

I understand your feeling of guilt as you are the one who introduced them to the game and now you are seeing destroy themselves and his surrounding. Actually it is really a risk to invite someone in gambling as there's really a high chance that the user will get addicted to it and I think that was one of the thing you have missed, maybe you could encourage your friend to seek a therapy and you're going to pay for it to clear your guilt but if he refused then I think it is not your problem anymore.

first of all it is not important for me to teach anyone about gambling while your country is against gambling but you have your own right to teach crypto casino to anyone but remember everything is a risk when things get bad when your friends become addicted.
you really have wronged yourself. because your friend is now addicted and even worse after being free to gamble anywhere without the knowledge of the authorities.
but if that has happened, you don't need to regret it and make it a lesson not to give gambling advice to anyone.

if your friend's gambling addiction is too severe, you can help him come to a psychologist to treat your friend.

This should be a lesson. Not because you do want to help, you'd already provide the help; think of the consequences. It is never advisable to support an individual in gambling because of the risks involved. But no matter what, and if the cited situation is true, be a friend to him. Help him morally to regain atleast his mental state. Also, try to accompany him with other activity not involving risk and money such as sports and the likes to somehow calibrate his drive to gamble. Also, do not blame yourself for everything because that's his decision in the first place. It is solely dependent with the gambler on how would he end up after playing; broke, victorious, or just fine.  Lastly, seek for professional help becaause addiction is not something to be cured in an instant and with ease.
It's not recommended to help someone in gambling, but I do it because I'm sorry if some of my friends have to deal with the law again, especially if they end up in jail.
My intention is actually good so that they don't get into trouble when betting, but what makes me disappointed is that some people really become addicts.
Actually this is my friend's fault because I can't control myself but he knows crypto casinos from me so I feel guilty.
So far I have advised him and given the view that gambling addiction will bring him to ruin but he still remains an addicted gambler.

I will say also that it is not his fault. Like in my country or my area if I should be specific, anyone can be exposed to gambling at anytime and it is common among friends. Because a friend knows gambling through me and he is addicted, I will kind of feel guilty because I care, unless I do not care is when I will not feel like anything is happening.

If it is me, I will not give up to continuing advising him and make him realize how gambling can not be helpful but distractive if there is addiction.
That's right, my friend, just like you, feels guilty because there is concern and affection for friends who will lose their families because of gambling.
I also never get tired or give up advising and guiding him to a better path because I believe that one day he will be able to recover from his gambling addiction and become a normal person.
