Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Scammers are everywhere here in the virtual world, it can't be help since they have guts to scam people because we all are anonymous in the cryptocurrency world, unless you're going to provide your personal information (which is not recommended). And when you got scammed once, please let it be your lesson, don't let it happen again. Before you make a transaction with someone, make sure he is a legit one, try to have an escrow or ask him a proof of his legitimacy and so on.

There's a lot of scams the proof is in the scam section, and there will be more coming up, it's something that we should address right away, I'm ok with regulation as long as it will stop people scamming investors, this is vain to cryptocurrency investors, it's negative impact is very huge.

What causing this is i think the ICO exit scammers, they are the one who can easily collect millions of millions of dollars and just scam investors. And they are not being penalized or worst not even getting traced, thats what contributes huge to global crypto scams

In my opinion, everyone has already really seen that fraud and hacking in cryptocurrency has become the most serious problem for the existence of cryptocurrency. This was confirmed by the recent hacking of the Binance exchange and the theft of 7,000 bitcoins worth $ 40 million. The situation is quite complicated, because the cryptocurrency is still very slowly legalized by the states, therefore this market is still practically not controlled by the states and not taken under its jurisdiction. On the other hand, this market is anonymous and there are very large sums of money. Therefore, it is an ideal environment for scammers.

I think the scams in crypto are going to be more frequent, in fact already in Binance that is a level 1 Exchange has just lived with the theft of more than 7k of bitcoins, it is a very high figure to have made a theft that magnitude, it's something very big. And if it happened to an Exchange that has all the strongest security conditions, the conditions for normal people with standard security conditions should increase greatly.

Already in some time should come out instead of antivirus a Crypto demonstration security system to protect our wallets online, or have better security those wallets that are not so expensive to acquire, because as time goes by, attacks will begin at ordinary people who have some investment in some part of Exchanges and through cookies, since hacking the SHA-256 code is mathematically impossible, even if it has 100 quantum computers.

Many issue talking about crypto bitcoin and altcoin are scam because they want to take chance for buying bitcoin and altcoin on lower price, its the way how to make panic selling for many member of bitcoin.

I agree, I think they just want people to loss trust in bitcoin so that the price will go down when in fact scam does not only happen to bitcoin and altcoin. Yes, it is a digital money but it doesn't mean it is scam. Scams are a global issue not only for bitcoin but for other currencies as well. All we can do is to be cautious all the time.

Indeed, Scams using crypto platform will be a global issue too as it will give the scamers more additional option on how they can steal from the people hard earned money therefore we need to fully support and strengthen the regulations to repel this kind of illegal activity.

This is so alarming for all of the crypto related people who work under this. Scammers take a lot of money from the people wallet. Here is not the End in the cryptocurrency there are lot more illegal stuff goes on and on. There are many illegal transactions occurs in cryptocurrency and now there are no rules and regulation are up to date but now KYC Verification is required. Crime is now slow down but totally it will not Stop cause scammers to find their new way to do the crime.
I think it is our own benefit if the system apply KYC verification for each new investor and new projecting because everyone can use this forum for their own scamming sites promotions, it is not good though so I don’t support them I want peace in the market, scammers should be ban and investors should open their eyes and never trust fake websites and ask for proper verification.

all these scams are really hurtings peoples trust in crypto way to many scammers running wild with their scam ico.
Dont realy know how we can weed them out, some are pretty obvious, some harder to detect .
might even be legit cryptos at the start but when they see how much money they have they just bolt.
That is right, since there is nobody to monitor them and control their activities, the only solution I see is for government to really regulate the issue of ICO, regulating ICO doesn’t not mean it as defeated the objective of blockchain.

Government really need to approve ICOs physically before they can have the right to raise fund an whoever is not approved by government should not be taken serious when they come up with any project, exchanges are trying their best through the IEO to cub the issue of scam, but they can’t completely get it right since they have no legal power over the registered projects.

The cryptospace is full of scams and I think we should all be careful the websites we log into and also we should not be greedy for quick gains because this is one trick scanners and hackers use.  The greed of men for quick money.

Scams happen everywhere, this isn't a problem exclusive to crypto currency.  Just look at all those MLM schemes we have now.  But most people are honest people, the percentage of people that are scammers are very low.  Those dirtbags go and abuse the trust of good hearted people.

Everywhere there is a chance to earn something, you can bet there will'be scams...
This metode isn't always can to be scam. A Exchange have marketer to get new customer to be joining. like low fee and trading competition. earning 100% refferal can be a good thing. airdrop token are different thing, because a new token can do this to sell them coin then joined.

More people have been building its mentality.

I think the negative issue was indeed made to bring down crypto, but what happened was that crypto was growing and in my country the government began to look at it as the future of the digital world. so that the scamer uses it to steal other people's assets freely, because there is no clear law

As cryptocurrency hasn't got much support from countries around the world, it doesn't serve to be a big issue for the governments. In very few incidents the government interrupt understanding the serious of the problem. Over the years the popularity and usage of cryptocurrency among common people keeps growing. The same is been used as the chance by the scammers, and the term bitcoin is mostly used to promote the scam and make the common people as prey for them.

I think not only for governments, but the main populace that is affected by these scams are the ground level investors and users, because unlike bigger business entities or governments alike, they don't have that much contingency for when they get scammed. It's not easy to see all the coins you've earned through time and hard work to just be stolen and scammed just like that. The difficulty comes from the reality that despite they want to continue, they don't have that much capital or money to use in order get back up from being scammed. Therefore, I would say that it is one of the glaring problems of the cryptocurrency market that needs to be addressed.

The solution for this problem is reglementation. Without them there is no possibility to complain at police regarding stealing from the wallet/exchange/scams and not only.
You just gave another man tough word there to start researching on, you would have just used regulation, then everyone can understand without having to open dictionary lol, now that I understand what you said, I think you are absolutely right about it.

Government really needs to regulate it for the authority to be able to do more investigation, but they still cannot continue to keep silence because it may affect their economy too. If country A citizens participate more in scamming Country B that has genuine intention, wealth will be diverted from country B economy to Country A economy, so country B cannot continue to keep silence before they lose their entire economy to A.

Scammers enter empty space which is a weakness of cryptocurrency ...
and being careful is an absolute thing
and possible Scammers in cryptocurrency due to lack of government support retention in all countries of the world and many newcomers who act carelessly in dealing with transaction cryptocurrency and this is the empty space used by Scammers
Even if there is a government who protect our money, people nowadays will always find a way to scam those who lack of knowledge. If you ever handed a cryptocurrency you should always think your security of it first because you are now the government of your own investment. Stop defending the government because you already know what happens when you leave your money to them.

We already have many laws against frauds and scams and yet from time to time we hear of victims of different fraudulent schemes and ways enriching the operators and leaving the victims with empty bags. I think that this is already part of human nature -- that desire to get rich as fast as possible and that desire on the victim not to miss out. This is very true in cryptocurrency but this is truer with the fiat money. Scam is not invented by cryptocurrency nor by fiat money. Now, this is an stigma that the industry has to address squarely otherwise the damage can be long-term and can affect the dreamed massive adoption of this technology.
