For me, yes cryptos scams are global issues because of these issues we are facing to some prohibition like banning bitcoin to some countries, especially to those government sectors that know about the capability of cryptos scam or fraud. Also, some ppl use this crypto to make there scams much more accessible; we know that there's a lot of fraud out there not just crypto scam so just be careful.  Smiley
Instead of banning, why don't they make an awareness campaign, all the scams should not be blame to bitcoin as in the first place bitcoin is not promoted by a certain ceo to attract people to invest with fix returns. The scams are coming from ICO and ponzi schemes, I guess that's where they should focus and find ways to combat that kind of scams, they may not eliminate it but with their effort, they can minimize the scams.

This is not a thing for only cryptocurrencies, every scam on every field is a global issue. And since it is a free market, scammers and hackers may operate alongside hence it is always being announced that investors must stay cautious especially to unknown emails which offers enticing rewards
Since this is the internet era any scams that takes places in the internet have a global implication. The difference between crypto scams and the rest of the methods is that every transactions carried out in the crypto space can be traced and it is possible to catch every fraud that has happened in the blockchain. My prediction is that in the next ten years majority of the scams that happened in this market will be traced and the person or group behind those will be punished.

The scams in crypto is a great concern which needs to be tackled if we ever dream of seeing global mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. The reasons why most people don't trust using cryptocurrencies to make transactions is because of the numerous scams that surrounds it.
We cant do anything about it just like on tackling or trying to solve out online scams on typical fiat system. How

much more on crypto market which it do have the perfect recipe on committing frauds due to anonymity. We cant really
able to get rid of it but somehow we can educate or do tell new people to be aware of typical frauds on crypto space.

Keep wallet log in details safe and never follow unknown links that are sent through emails - some may lead to phishing sites.

That's right, people have different mindset an this is why we encountered this kind of problem. Especially this generation that our information rely most in the computer which it has the big chance to be intercepted. Scammers will never be gone because of the system the system. This is why we should be very careful especially when it comes to our asset.

Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/

That is a problem with cryptocurrency. Scams are free to roam. At the end of the day, the government, which crypto is basically against, will have to step in and solve it for them. The crypto world is a free world. Everybody, for example, has the right to make his/her own coin. And even sell it to the public. The vulnerable public is always the victim. We really need something that will put a stop to all these scams. And this something should not only be coming from the law enforcement agencies but also from the crypto world.

We are always experiencing scam incidents. That is really usual in crypto industry. In order to stay away with the scammers, we should become more wise. There is no yet a 100 percent banning or law for scammers. Yet, I am sure that soon they will eradicate by the government and people. Stop joining scam projects, we should move to STO projects.
Crypto scammers destroys the image and credibility of crypto currency and it makes investors to stay away on crypto investments and if no one can stop this activity then it might be completely silence the crypto industry, I hope even this is a decentralized system that there is a team to filter and regulate every project created.
It seems to me that if we already give some bills from the government in defense of the cryptocurrency market and users of cryptocurrency, then first of all we should expect the legalization of cryptocurrency and certain rules that will be controlled by the state.

If people are not getting their fair money or payment it does not means they will adopt unfair means for achieving the money, it is really bad to scam other people. We can beat scamming problems with being wise for not sharing our information with anyone, use proper wallet to store our bitcoin, and never listen to the whales, just focus on your aim of investing.

yes we must have a aim that makes confidence increase, always be vigilant because realizing scam is a global problem is also a good way. so even though scams are something scary but on the other hand there are still many proven projects and we should only invest in famous projects to keep everything safe

Actually the famous project does not guarantee that it will be safe. Throughout 2018 I have met many well-known projects but they have given nothing to investors.

2018 happened a lot of scam projects. It is really a big problem and bounty hunters speak out for it. It seems that the exchange founders have realized this injustice and formally established a new calling method, the IEO.
Now projects listed on exchange always make us feel secure. This is true. No more scams.

Well maybe now there is no more fraud in the IEO, but caution is important because fraudsters will always find ways to cheat. Like the ICO first, maybe all believe ICO is the safest but look at it now.

Scams are not only crypto connected so I don't know why is this considered as a separate problem. Every kind of online scam has a big increase because people spend their lives online, do their business online and store their data. Everywhere where there is sone kind of value and money scamers are present. Cryptocurrencies are especialy attractive but this problem can't be solved without bigger user awarness and self protection.

Yes, we need regulatory bodies to step in so that scam will be forgotten in crypto world. A lot of projects have free hand because they are not under any regulation whatsoever. Therefore, in order to stop scam, these bodies most be put in place.

Those regulation bodies must be implemented because yearly we are seeing many scams even after raising huge amounts of money, the government should pass an ordinance without government permission nobody shouldn't launch their ICO project. Firstly, they need to get approval from the government sectors.

Well, Bitcoin and crypto were designed to be borderless, yes? So, unfortunately, probably so. And they've already been used for global scams, really, and probably for international crimes as well. It would be good to have a group with a way to track down and bring to justice those that do.

Good question.
Have a good day,
The Cyberius team.

The scams are happening only to cheat the people so it will definitely been a global issue because the money is involved in it that is the only reason we need to take it as a serious thing without a simple reason we need to to make some action on that.

Regulation will bring more trouble to this space, I deny this option as a solution. The market will care about the scam coins but we need more crypto volunteers who can share the advantages of the real projects to the traditional world problems.

I think that in 2019 there are still a lot of scam projects, although now they have a new method, the IEO method also still has the potential to scam and if it happens it will make the name of the exchange bad so the place of exchange must be able to choose projects and platforms best.

I agree with you because the existence of regulations governing the eradication of fraud in the crypto world, to develop crypto will be faster and surely also more and more will come back to believe it too, because many years ago there were many people who left crypto because of a lot of fraud which harms as many people as possible
the more fraud the investor's money will erode, besides that the trust will decrease, and consequently will leave the crypto world. of course there must be someone watching him, so he can suppress fraud

I think this depends on that certain country whose government wants to protect their citizens who use crypto currencies especially bitcoin. In terms of countries that btc is banned like China or maybe India in the next months, they don't need to do that since they already banned it, they don't need any of the protection for crypto scams. In terms of countries that regulated Bitcoin, I guess they really need to spread the awareness of it but I think if someone is an investor of crypto currencies or bitcoin, they should be able to know the scams and the legitimate projects if they don't. they can just ask certain people that can identify the difference.
