Quite a lot of people invest in the both (Crypto and Stocks), others prefer one of the two, thus imo, it's down to the individual and what sort of ROI they are seeking, as well as the space of time they are willing to let the investment grow. It'd be much better to use Bitcoin in place of crypto, cause quite a lot of crypto (excluding Btc & a few other alts) are pump and dump coins, having said that, the thing is that investors will choose an investment option that they understand, are comfortable with and can somewhat predict, thus I'd not pick which is better on the general point of view, as every individual's case can be different.

Indeed, stock is more stable and more safer than crypto currency. They believe that stock never fall in price because they have a real function in the real life comparing to crypto currency who just still be questioned by some people for its function because just a few coin which can be used and be seen its function in the real life.

This is why that will make the stock price is more stable because their investor will be comfortable to still hold their investment. But, it is just a procces, I believe since the development of times and the digitalization system has been widely used by everyone, the function of crypto currency will be immediately felt by many people so as every investor's crypto can comfortably store their money in crypto currency.

Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks?
I was also thinking about this about a week ago, and also thinking about eTORO as that platform is the one recommended to me by some friends. I have notice that the movement on value to stocks are quite slow, so as a user, I'd rather go with crypto instead especially if we are talking about bitcoins.

Crypto and stocks have always been the favorite comparison of majority when it comes to the topic of investments. However, these two serves their own purposes and I believe they are intended for different reasons, only that they have similar functions such as in terms of investing, hence people pit them from one another.

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency which may serve as an alternative to fiat money. It is decentralized, meaning there's no entity, organization, or institution that controls and regulates. It used in online transactions only that, it provides stricter security when it comes to identity. It is also a medium and platform to generate money such as when joining the paid campaigns and by investing. Meanwhile, stock market is centralized which stocks belong. It is regulated by the government to avoid and manage the emergence of fraudaulent transactions and illegal activities. Stocks are equities that are part or portion of a company or corporation. People usually invest in stocks because of its long term value.
I do not consider stocks and crypto even remotely close to each other at all. You may live in a nation where stock market is doing good, or it could be a nation where companies are ahead of politicians, for example if you are in USA it is a good idea to have money in stock markets and that's fine, especially if you find a good company to invest into.

However you should remember there are 100+ nations where companies are not doing well because of politics and because of how the nation is bad, hence putting your money into crypto is basically saying "I believe crypto will profit me more than my nation can do in any way" and that is a proven fact for so many nations. I could have bought the best profitable stock of the last year and it wouldn't be 50% of what bitcoin did for example, and that is the most profitable stock, that is why I do not see any point on investing into them if you are in one of those nations.

One thing I would like to state here is that Stocks and crypto both have almost different intent. Most of the cryptocurrencies are created with the intent that they could be used as a medium of the transaction so what's the point of holding them as an investment? While yes it's true that some projects do create crypto with the intent of raising money but stocks are still better. Reasons are simple if you buy stocks of some company you actually get to control the company and its decisions that thing is not possible with cryptos even if you have majority coin holding with you. The company is not legally bound to listen to you. So for businesses and investments, stocks are better. But trading is a game of volatility and the crypto market is an ocean of volatility. You get the most profits while trading in a volatile market only.
Still, cryptocurrency and stocks have a lot in common. For the purpose of conducting transactions and using as a means of payment, only general purpose coins are created. However, a significant portion of the cryptocurrency is tokens. They have a lot in common with stocks, as they serve certain programs or business. Shares give you the right to control only if you own a certain percentage of their issue. Typically, this is 51 percent. If you have the same percentage of the total issued tokens, you can also influence their price movement.
However, the cryptocurrency market and the stock market are distinguished primarily by the high volatility of cryptocurrency prices and the absence of their direct regulation so far.
I agree on this. Both industry have some similarities, soon crypto will become regulated like stocks so the big guys have more ability to manipulate. At least recent activities from U.S government give us the proof it will happen. I've been here a long time and I would not tolerate such activities and completely against Bitcoin. Crypto thing should not be regulated but at some point I can't differ but Bitcoin should maintain it nature. I'm just not here to trade, it's something beyond our thinking.

Influencing price movement is a concern here. Stock gives you a right to control the project or the company or at least influence the major decisions and also appoint key managerial personnel of the company but cryptos on the other hand don't have this feature. They don't give you the right to influence the decisions of the project. Forget about decisions they don't even offer you the facility to ask for accountability of any project if you hold a certain set of tokens. While shareholders command complete accountability on the affairs of the Company. This is what is the major difference I am talking about.

It is certain that there are good projects in both the kirpro money market and stocks.
Kirpro money market?

Do you mean crypto?

however, this choice varies according to the way you invest. For example, we once saw the rise of health stocks due to covid. I guess it takes a shorter rise in stocks. I don't know the stocks well, but it's definitely not a place for someone with hopes of getting rich pretty soon.
There are many stocks that have rose when the covid pandemic has started. But the main event and most rose did happened in the crypto market.

For which has been led by bitcoin and there were altcoins that moved more than the percentage that bitcoin did.

People have often compared crypto to stocks since owning a coin, represents your "share" of the decentralized blockchain network. Exchanges act as brokers in a similar fashion to traditional stocks. While stocks are fiercely regulated, crypto is the "wild west". Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, while stocks are much more stable. Despite crypto/Blockchain tech's popularity, stocks are still preferred by mainstream investors and traders alike.

Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks? Is crypto getting closer to becoming regulated just like stocks? What do you think will happen if institutional investors come into play? Will stocks transition themselves to the Blockchain? Or is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Personally, I think its better to have both because both can generate good stream of income. They can make your money profit in a certain span of time and are nice platform to put the hard-earned money because of its potentials and function. However, also take note that these mediums are also risky. So invest at your own risk. Crypto is volatile. So is the stocks depending on the economy's trend.

Invest wisely. Diversify. Never put all of your eggs in one basket because it can cost you so much later.

Crypto definitely better, so many millenials has now switching over to crypto since it's just more profitable and the problem with stock market more specifically coming from third world countries the manipulation is rampant by the whales, the price could literally be controlled by the whales through the use of their massive capital meanwhile most of cryptocurrencies nowadays already have big market which make such thing hard to do.
There's this trend of leaving stock market for crypto around the world and if that's true meaning people already see crypto as a better option for investment.

I do not get why people have to go with stocks. The real reason why we are in this mess economically is the stock market and people are too blind to see it. Why? Well simply every company in the world that has a stock needs to keep profiting and keep profiting in order to keep the share holders happy right?

Well, if there is a finite amount of money in the world that means one day one company will own all the money in the world if they keep profiting constantly.

We know that won't happen so there is a money printing going on, which means companies are capable of making more profit since there is more money printing. We all know printing money doesn't solve any issues and the debt in every nation grows bigger and bigger, inflation gets worse and the people at the bottom are the ones who are paying for all this issue. So crypto is definitely the way to go for me.

All of them are good, and they all works. It’s just up to you to decide what’s best for you and you follow that. Stocks are good, and I invest in it and also invest in cryptocurrency. Invest in bonds as well, you just have to make sure that you have your investment in different places to be generating income for you. My first investment that I made was with bitcoin, that’s what convinced me to start investment, at first I wasn’t the type that’s into investing my money, I just put them in savings and that’s it. But when I discovered bitcoin and invested in it, I decided to start trying out other investments as well.

Do you remember the game stop incident in January that made the world bustling?  Immediately many players shared complaining and turned to Crypto.  all will turn to crypto in time.  In terms of stock security, it is safer because it is fully regulated, the company can be reached.  while crypto is almost no clarity physically, but the profit is very pronounced
I am little confused with your comment; you are seeming like talking about the benefits of stocks and crypto at a time. Game stop incident led people to adopt crypto, fine but stock is regulated hence it is secured, I do not think so because even registered corporates go bankrupted at times. Why you need clarity physically? I mean do you refer anything like you need more proof?

Both are having some level of risks but when considering benefit levels, why not we go along with high ROI thing? Moreover crypto is decentralized which makes less prone to getting disappointments unlike stocks investments.

You are right! Probably the majority of us never had anything with stocks, the only place where we hear about stock exchanges is in the movies and some serials (at least in my case), so why would we even think about stocks and all that when we have crypto, and that works just fine for us!
And I guess once someone tastes crypto and freedom that crypto offers, without unnecessary documentation, procedures, etc... it's kinda hard to even think about trying to trade with stocks, or for some people to return to that!
But that doesn't mean that we have to not dabble with stock though, I mean that is still a way to make money and I think that you should be slowly diversifying your portfolio as it grows because we all know how the crypto bucket is volatile so having some form of stock in your portfolio, you can be less worried when the bucket is on the red because you still make money.

Short term profit? it's definitely crypto. maybe I'll only buy certain stocks if there's only a big enough event to significantly influence the price, apart from that, I really prefer crypto. Crypto is simpler, easier and is also able to generate decent profits in a short time when compared to stocks

Asking someone which one to choose between stock and crypto in a crypto dominated forum is pretty much a useless thing since the majority is going to be favoring cryptocurrency.

Honestly I did not invest a single penny into stocks in last ten years. Yeah, even before I was entering into the crypto space, I have lost all my faith on stocks because of economy rate of my country. After I got into crypto world, I invested all my efforts only into bitcoins and then I went for slight diversification. In recent times, after pandemic, I read how consistently few of stocks are performing even in hard times which made to think about investing into stocks but I simply ignored my second thoughts as I have bitcoins and I do not need to go for anything else. But, I will invest in real-estate and gold for my tradition reasons.

I think it is still possible to make stock in form of cryptocurrency as long as it is regulated and not anonymous. Not all stocks are good just like cryptocurrencies, there are only bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies that are good. For now I prefer bitcoin because although it is volatile but sometimes it's benefit me. If I there is a company that give big amount of dividend then I'll think about it, maybe I will be more focus on stocks if there is company like that, but unfortunately many companies use the profit that it get for company's improvement.
