For sure cryptocurrency is a special weapon, not for government but the people. It has power to make the fiat currency obsolete. Probability of this happening is very low, but even having slightest probability for something like this happening is achievement in itself. And the technology which it's built upon is impeccable. The proper use of this technology can actually revolutionize how we are living in present.
Cryptocurrency is the future to the digital transaction system. It is a decentralized system that runs on a blockchain technology and so, no central government can control it. If you invest in this cryptocurrency market wisely, then definitely you can earn good benefits from this market.
And it explains part of the reasons governments are against it. It is a powerful tool. If used wrongly, governments could pay dearly for it especially if used by terrorists and their likes. Indeed it is a powerful weapon, only if used in the right way.
I think some how government can regulate crypto currency, which they are already at the moment, Government can't stop cryptos but they can regulate it with their power which can halt the activities of crypto currency. So cryptos needs Government support.

I think, "being a decentralized asset" is what make a cryptocurrencies more powerful. No powerful entity or authority hold this; no centralized manipulation. The fact that is decentralized, we are also anonymous in our own way. No identification records in every transaction.

I agree, since there is no one holding or controlling cryptocurrencies it is a good asset. We can do what we want with it depending on the person. Anyone can do this or invest in this and at the same time crypto currency is powerful for that reason.
