What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
What was your experiences from previous hacks? I remember having heard of other exchanges being hacked in the past but reopening and I think most if not all exchanges had paid back people.

Check Cryptsy case.
Most likely Topia goes that route too.

Never heard of this exchange... which foreshadows what I'm going to find out if I google it lol ! It doesn't exist anymore huh? Cheesy

This way, help God to get everyone back what's stolen from your people !!! Then, let's pull all the coins from this fucking Criptopia, and thats it ...

sorry but there aren't stolen and not stolen coins anymore
everything is treated as one big bucket now

No it's not!
One thing is stolen coins and (different) other thing is coins on Cryptopia wallet (which are not stolen!)!

It's not right to hold coins which is not stolen!

And I dont understand what they wait?!
All community have info about stolen coins and value of stolen coins and all coins is blocked!

Only reasonable thing is if they repair they mistake about wallet, and today is fifth day from hack and still nothing about people which have other coins (not Erc20 token) they need their coins!

Yes i really don't see the point of holding other unaffected coins hostage on this hack crisis, they should let us withdraw and move on,

Lets hope we can expect some good news this coming monday. i highly doubt they will make this maintenance longer, if they have 100 employees they need to work faster in bringing the site up to generate revenues for staffs salary Cheesy

A common misconception is that many people believe that if their funds were not affected by the hack, they will receive them soon.

If Cryptopia indeed looses more than $ 15M in this hack, they would probably have to pay back everyone, so you will only receive a % of your holdings value, so it is fair to all users using their platform.

Since many of Cryptopia actions are now in the Police hands, this process can take weeks and months to settle. I would personally forget about all the funds I had there, at least short term.
[/quote]

People do not consider, and have the legal right to immediately receive their unaffected coins at a rate of 100%, the rest must also return their funds in full as a result of successful investigative actions and the financial responsibility of the shareholders of Cryptopia exchange.
By the way, they did not pay attention to the fact that during the increase in the cost of altcoins, the wallets became serviced until the end of the pamp, I think at that time the Cryptopia staff was making a good profit in their pocket. (example: 4 months ago SUMO / BTC, + 500% per day, - 150%).
Let them pay for greed and lack of professionalism.

This nutter (in the SexCoin thread) claims to have hacked Cryptopia:

Good news Livecoin being back up.

Also good move to take Sxc of Cryptopia, its ashame they got hacked

Topia is a bitch, got hacked and should be expelled from ur list of preffered altcoin exchanges. Guess who hacked that swampy exchange? I did. Loaded a full pack of authorization code crackers and drained everything from there. Along with ur perceived confidence and trust in centralized services. Something inside me tells me I now need to go bigger and create my hugely volumized exchange with margins and altcoin futures. This is to replace topia and other quasitrustworthy exchanges short of security measures.

It does not matter who hack Cryptopia, funds is blocked.
They need to fix mistake about wallet and that is it, they can open exchange again.
And this "suggestion" about split funds, that is not ok why will someone split funds if theirs coins not stolen.

i don't care about cryptopia hack. it's the money of trader that are in play, i dont hold any erc20 token in this exchange so i want my money back, if no the only one to blame are the cryptopia team and we need a real proof that it was a hack not an inside job.

I just wanted to draw the worst case scenario. I have money there (more than 10$...)

Anyway, I don't think etherscan can block funds.

I just hope we will not see the mtgox/bitgrail scenario. I had 99% BTC so I don't want to be robbed again.

If cryptopia isn't insured and has not enough coverage to repay losses, I am pessimistic.

because all our funds will be probably seized and used to pay lawyers.
What you talking about?!
Lawyers?!
He or they withdraw coins from Cryptopia, try to sell on Binance (Binance block account with funds), try to send funds each other on Etherscan (Etherscan block account with funds).
Link: https://etherscan.io/address/0xaa923cd02364bb8a4c3d6f894178d2e12231655c
He or they can not sell or send that coins becouse all Cryptopia/Cryptocurrency community follow transactions and share info.
it's a matter of time when will Cryptopia be live again, becouse there are people which have other coins (not Erc20 token) and they want to trade with their coins.....

As written above, 100 people work in Cryptopia .
The speed of the police depends on the methods.
if they use thermo-rectal cryptanalysis, they should know today who the hacker.

analysator

 thermo-rectal cryptanalysis,  what is that?

This is a "soldering iron in the ass." It is widely used in the Russian investigative bodies. The effectiveness of crime detection is 99%, the remaining 1% die before admission.
