They say only verified accounts can withdraw.

As I said in the flag thread that I created:

A question came up in a seperate thread asking if you knew what their terms were, why did you still sign up (but not complete the KYC process) ? Well, on novaexchange's website they had tiers for signing up, tier one was user name (plus AFAIK email which gets verified) - you can sign in and view the trading floor, but can't trade.  Tier two you register (user name+email) and can then upload crypto and trade *but* you cannot withdraw unless you complete the KYC - most importantly, you are given 12 months from when you first register to complete the KYC process.

I can't recall cryptopia ever bothering with a KYC process - it's the liquidators who are insisting on a KYC process.

Somehow I can't see a user "Joe Blogs" with an email address [email protected] is going to come forward to claim his crypto...  Roll Eyes

The administrators are asking for KYC probably because they have ulterior motives. Imagine sending KYC to the administrators only to be told they require more things such as explanations why IP addresses do not match the country of residence etc.

As for those distinctive email addresses I would agree - no chance of people with those types of email addresses coming forward.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
I imagine many exchanges will get "hacked" if those bearish conditions keep going for a long time!
You know... It's not paying much when people don't trade!

KEEPING YOUR COINS  Grin  Tongue  Cry

crooktopia, vulvaexchange, grant exthorntion ...all scheming filthy rats LOL

I have to say I do not see much chance of a high percentage of crypto being returned to their rightful owners.

Novaexchange was not hacked so users still have some hope of being able to withdraw their funds after completing KYC and they have sent alerts unlike Cryptopia who isn't ready to even disclose the KYC procedure and shut doors after saying that the altcoins were not hacked. Months have passed and no positive result.

I agree to all 100%!
Cryptopia exchange of altcoins!
Golden phrase: ".....they have sent alerts unlike Cryptopia who isn't ready to even disclose the KYC procedure and shut doors after saying that the altcoins were not hacked. Months have passed and no positive result".
Our mistake is that our indignation should not be expressed on this forum, but should be written to the one who is driving this now!
To whom and where to write?

I haven't heard of anyone successfully completing the novaexchange's KYC, but you're right that Cryptopia didn't even bother with KYC until it went into insolvency.

I guess that exchanges see there's no volume in trading since most people miss the accumulation periods.... and so they prefer to keep what they've won and terminate their expenses.

At least not everyone is as dishonest as Cryptopia.

novaexchange.com has closed its doors without warning:

here comes the kicker:

They are going to walk away with a truck load of coins because people have been unable to verify themselves.

Is there database saved and restored?
WTF? Where is our crypto?
Can I turn back my altcoins, if I have the last screen of my account?
Many coins, which traded on cryptopia was been delisted, after the problems with cryptopia...
If I did deposit BTC there, and if I have transaction hash,
and if I can sign the message by privkey from my address, can I turn back MY OWN BTC?
