peace of mind for your private keys and passwords
@Cryptosteel,

Aren't there third party risk to get my private key? I have to generate that first before I can arrange it in the steel wallet.

P.S., "Anonymity" is spelled wrong in your graphic.
They put "no third party risk" on "cloud storage" but not on "safe deposit box."  I'm not sure what they think "third party risk" is, but the infographic is clearly wrong on "no third party risk," no matter how you slice it.  Nevermind the fact that a paper wallet can most certainly do "any-cryptocurrency" if cryptosteel can.  Also, exactly how does cryptosteel provide true random numbers that can't be used on a "paper wallet" or put in a "safe deposit box?"  All I'm saying is "you are nitpicking in the wrong areas," and/or "nice first draft," depending on who I'm talking to.

True Random Numbers: Yes, you can, just mix-up all provided letters in a hat (over 216 bricks will be enough even to build a Master Seed) - and pick it up. You can make true random lottery Smiley
Safe deposit box: You can have one in your basement or you can have one inside Goldman vault...
Anycryptocurrency: it not easy to find a nice paper wallet generator for example for YBCoin - yes, you can print it, So I will fix it in my chart. Thank you

@Possum577
All you need is to punch-out your secret sentence (private key, or password) from included stainless steel sheets.
Customer do it by his own.
You can use any kind of private key generator - it is up to you - BitcoinCoreClient, bitaddres.org, Electrum... ect.
Cryptosteel is just simple a tool - and my intention is to deliver awesome design, and do not close inside a "specification"
You can even fill in cryptosteel with haiku poem to your grand-grand-child.

bdw. Thank you for perceptivity  Cool

Looks a good idea but what happens if someone gets hold of them and re arranges the letters and numbers as a joke and you have no other copies of the code anywhere. Do you get some other storage or note of it to keep elsewhere. Is a good idea will be keeping an eye on the project to see how this progresses.
@Crazyearner
I recommend to diversify types of Bitcoin storage. There is no single solution working all-in-one. Keep in mind numbers of lost crypto-coins.
If it will save even one person life time savings, I would say, I reach my initial goal.
And finally, I wish there will be no single case to find out how fire-proof it is.
Think about it as a nice gift, or gadget, with Bitcoin engraved in its heart.
Any way, we did a deep research. It is not simple to chose the best mixture for the most secure working solution.

cool idea actually.. probably the best implementation of a paper wallet if designed and manufactured properly.

I mean its the same as any other paper/physical wallet if someone malicious gets a hold of it. You are screwed of course.

Agreed, it looks cool, but does not seem practical. More of a novelty item.

Hello reader!

We are excited to announce the arrival of the world’s most secure, anonymous and confidential offline Bitcoin wallet, Cryptosteel.

Cryptosteel combines the innovatory elegance of the iconic Renaissance Guttenberg press with material robustness of stainless steel dog-tag in order to form a discreet and effective Bitcoin password storage system guaranteed to safeguard your personal details from online and offline threats alike.

The unique characteristics which make Cryptosteel stand out in a competitive cold-wallet market-place include:

Comprehensive Personal Security

Cryptosteel’s raison d’etre is keeping your personal information safe and no cold wallet technology can lay persuasive claim to doing so as effectively as us.

Cryptosteel is a wholly offline password storage solution. Recording your private data with Cryptosteel requires no third-part engagement whatsoever, and that includes us. All information will be punched into Cryptosteel by your own hand in a fast, easy, tool and electricity-free manner expanded upon below.

So long as you’re indestructible Bitcoin wallet remains on your person external agents possess no possibility of accessing your information.

Cryptosteel’s beauty and efficacy, then, lies in its simplicity: the wallet puts you in full, independent control of your Bitcoin passwords and ensures their security.

The code-storage-system is thus an ideal gift for any family-member, friend, or colleague who stands to benefit from enhanced Bitcoin security.

Discreetness & Quality

Cryptosteel is hand crafted in Poland by expert metallurgists using only the highest-quality materials as a means of ensuring the longevity and lasting efficacy of the cold-wallet.

Composed of immaculately sourced and produced stainless steel (ASI 304), the wallet is at once fireproof, corrosion resistant and light-weight. These material qualities make the wallet ideal for concealment underground or within concrete constructions.

Once stored in a safe location, the content of Cryptosteel is yours and yours alone to access.

Strength

Cryptosteel is designed to endure the most physically testing conditions imaginable.

The fact that the code-storage system is simultaneously fire-proof, acid-resistant, and (effectively) uncrushable means that in the event of a serious accident such as a house-fire or a car-crash, or even in conditions of war or an Electro Magnetic Pulse attack; Cryptosteel and your personal details are guaranteed to remain intact.

Ease of Use

The technology is made all the more appealing owing to its characteristic ease of use.

The fact that no online interaction, electricity or hardware tools are required to use Cryptosteel means that the wallet succeeds in making sophisticated cold-storage technology easily available to all Bitcoin users.

Cryptosteel owners can commit all of their most sensitive password details to a safe and secure storage unit in minutes by punching out codes of up to 64 characters in length (capital letters and digits) using their hands alone.

The wallet’s comprehensive security guarantee thus hinges on the fact that no third party or online communication or engagement is necessary.

Why is this important?

The advent of Cryptosteel stands to enhance Bitcoin safety.

The quick, straightforward and discreet manner in which the wallet comprehensively safeguards its owner’s personal details means that Cryptosteel stands to go a long way towards assuaging the frequently unfounded security concerns which breed consumer anxiety when it comes to dealing in crypto-currencies.

Furthermore, by affording users access to the first ever physical, wholly confidential and indestructible Bitcoin password-storage-system, Cryptosteel has gone a long way towards bridging the gap between the online and offline spheres of Bitcoin key protection.

No Bitcoin wallet technology can legitimately claim to offer its users wholesale, future-proof protection from threats to personal data; however, when used in conjunction with secure online storage systems, Cryptosteel stands to offer Bitcoin users the best possible chance of preserving the long-term safety of their private wealth.

After all, engraving has been the foremost method of long-term personal information retention throughout human history.

How Can I Help?

The idea for Cryptosteel has been in ferment since December 2013 and the positive feedback that our experienced team received from scrupulous market research encouraged us to produce a fully functioning prototype within six months of the concept being conceived.

This is a serious project and we are now turning to you for the funding which will help us to fully realize Cryptosteel’s potential.

All monies accrued will be managed with full transparency and provision has been already made for crowdfunding revenues to be invested in specialist tools which will complete our Poland-based assembly line.

Put simply, then; WE ARE OPEN SOURCE and full project blueprints will be made available on an Open Hardware basis.

Thank you for reading and be sure to spread the word about Cryptosteel: The Ultimate Cold Wallet wherever you think interested parties might gather.
