pr9me is the only one that even help's with support. It would be smart to hire maybe a few more people, considering Cryptsy is currently having all sorts of problems.

My newest problem BTC deposit has been showing as Incoming for about 10 hours now. (15 confirms)

My latest deposit isn't even showing as pending....24 hours later. (168 confirms).  I'm new to virtual currencies and I can't tell you how disheartening this is.  Not having quality exchanges or at least one will only limit VC growth.

same =/ I figure that with persistence though, once the site does start working---there will be opportunity to land some buys that the people who have given up have left behind. SBC / WDC load up time.

I just got all the quarks, like every single broken buy order make it through.

Too bad my balance is now -200 BTC

Update:

Tested a Cryptsy BTC transfer to Bitfinex;  completed in 4 hours.

Not exactly lightening speed, but....

Also reconciled all balances to Cryptsy - checked out ok.

With bter you can't deposit any coins there right now.

I've just tested sending 1.8 PPC from cryptsy to my bter account. It took few hours but they did deposit to bter and now I'm able to sell them.

I've been trying to buy some coins the whole day but my buy order vanishes and i get refunded so im pretty much in the same boat @_@

Im actually certain that as soon as SBC is buyable again it will shoot up like crazy, its only available at cryptsy.
Quark has had some news so it might also shoot up but that at least has another exchange where its traded.

Paul's expertise ranges from enterprise-level database design and implementation to VOIP phone systems and everything imaginable in-between required for the successful operation of a $100 Million+ e-commerce business.

Paul's unique combination of technical skills and business experience make him valuable to any organization interested in reducing the number of people required to make technical implementation decisions. I would highly recommend Paul for any CTO position where eCommerce is the driving force of the organization. "

To be fair, cryptsy's growth was not forseeable by anyone and upscaling infrastructure is not easy when it was not planned for that in the first place.

Yeah they won't  steal in on purpose of course they are good guys but their site is broken and it is annoying thinking you could have lost coins due to db corruption or overload.

They have trust they are honest but i worry if they can handle this large task the alt world is placing on them

Of course while I wait for these people to sort it all out, the coin I was planning to buy with my deposit (still not there) just goes up, and up, and up.  Has anyone asked for compensation in cases like this with Cryptsy?  Or are you just so glad to finally see your money that you forgive it out of the kindness of your heart?

No you are pretty much fucked in those cases.

I just tested if my account has same issues and the answer is YES. I traded 14 Lucky coins for BTC. Trade completed long time ago, Lucky coins gone, but my BTC balance never increased.

What are you guys using while Cryptsy has problems? I'm thinking about trying Bter again.

I would agree that they need to do something, maybe impose a trade limit until they are able to handle more. I mean they have to know what their hardware is capable of, just use that impose a trade limit and each time new servers come online up the limit until it isn't being reached. Then invest in an extra server or 3 to be safe lol

which DC are they in and why do they have to personally order in servers?? can they not get in softlayer somewhere or some DC that has racks ready to go? Does their sofware require some strange spec that DCs don't hold?

If this is what it's still on then possibly not a DC!

Everytime Cryptsy has ever struggled with new influx of users or a BTC crash, I have lost a couple coins here and there. Every single time they have taken the time to audit my account personally and return every coin missing.

They're very nice people working very hard so we can trade. Their job gets tough sometimes.

I sincerely hope this is the case.

These guys are taking on a huge task dealing with alt coins, and are defiantly feeling the growing pains.

I hope they get everything resolved, but I think it might be time to pull the plug on the site and starting auditing whilst building infrastructure.

Cryptsy, the community thanks you for your services, but I think we all would understand if you had to shut down for a period of time to sort these matters out...

well not close down exactly but halt all trades for now and get the site stable.

Can I get an "amen" to that?
