About 65 dollars for each bitcoin taken by cryptsy  🤣

Well that's it i guess...

I have learned my lesson; never trust or use a centralized cryptocoin exchange ever again!

well, since I dont have an account on law.com i cant see the article... but if this is about Vern, its worthless.

1) The court cannot force vern to do anything, as he has fled the jurisdiction of the court, and to a country that wont extradite him.
2) The court cannot order something to magically happen. The coins are locked in a wallet, and there is no way to get them out without the keys.

So while the judge says ok they must be returned, there is absolutely no way to enforce the order... therefore, it was a waste of paper to print the order.

That was fun... thanks for playing

Maybe if we ask nicely?

Vern, if you'd be so kind as to return my 1.5BTC to 19UystiZqP5JK8x7r99y7t1AvXwtkuQGQd I'd be very grateful.

cheers, Harrierx.

I'll keep you posted  Smiley

Meh, Vern has always been a stand-up guy comedian... im sure you will have it inside the hour...

If you dont see it within the next few hours, just wait longer. :-)

It's a completely watertight plan.  Cheesy

I prefer the other plan

If it was legal (but that is flexible) and I come across him or any associates mentioned, I would slice them up real good first, rip their head off, shit down their neck and kick their head all the way down the road, laughing manically.

opportunities always arise, patience

No, 1st quarter means from January til END of March. you seem like you have little patience.

Between 2014 and 2016 I was never been able to login to Cryptsy, I'm pretty sure I have about .25BTC there (and wasn't worth anything then) but was never able to login to retrieve it.

My account would always be locked, and I had to go through support verification to get it unlocked; the new password given never worked and automatically locked me out again. I just gave up...

Without knowing the actual balance and (thus) if I qualified for claim, I missed the window.

Sigh... I had about 1,000 XRP in my Cryptsy account along with about $80 worth of shitcoins. That XRP was worth about as much as a large soda at McDonald's back then but it would be worth as much as a used car now. Cry

Tell yourself that you would have sold them when they became as large as 2 sodas at McDonald's. Might make you feel better.

 too right !

to think of all the darkcoin (dash) and litecoin  I dumped back in the day because it pumped to like $5,  and I thought I was
making out like a bandit!!  it makes my head hurt...

BITCOIN===>THE DISRUPTIVE CYBERCURRENCY
Yeah all these guys who are like "my 1,000,000,000,000 [insert shit coin] would have been worth $400,000 today!" fail to account for the fact they would have dumped the coin as soon as it got valuable enough to buy a pack of cigarettes. When an exchange collapses, as most do, the losses are the value of the coins that day not some arbitrary future point in time. And everyone should know NEVER KEEP A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF COINS AT AN EXCHANGE. None have very strong security, none are immune from insider trading, and all will eventually go belly up. If you need to exchange coins do it in batches and keep as few as possible at the exchange. Always use your own wallets.
