What is it exactly that separates them ?
Why would you think you are safer at one vs another ?

I keep hearing about guys saying they know the risks of trading altcoins..
Well you know too that the exchanges are risky too not just the coins themselves.
It's a risk you guys take deliberately.. then later cry and play dumb and want sympathy.

MCXnow warning signs ? BTER ? Mintpal ? GOX ? Cryptsy ? Poloniex ? Bittrex ?
Random places that pop up adding every shitcoin they can ? ..for ROI'z ?

When do you smarten up and get some credibility people ?

A Cryptsy employee told you they handed over your info to the Fed's.
Did you all care ? of course not.. you keep sending all these exchanges your picture ID etc.
AND USING THEM STILL !

Coinbase ratted out the owner of KickassTorrents and that was the final straw for me..
It insured that i would never go there.. never have even once !

What will you do if one of these exchanges that runs compliant are forced to block user access ?
It's simple guys if they take your ID for verification then they are govt compliant.
Which means they will in fact comply with legal requests..
So..
If they are told to shut down etc they will !
And that could happen randomly any time by any of these places.

It's hard to have sympathy for a scene full of greedy idiots.

Finally submitted my claim. Only  transaction detail I had namecoin deposit. I had to recover old namecoin wallet.dat. Me being too stupid deleted all my wallet.dat that stored transaction details of other currencies.

I finally sent my papers today via Fedex.

2nd of all pretty much all these exchanges have been setup and operated in the same manner.
So i hate to break it to you all but they are all equally ripe for a GOX'ing at anytime.
How so ?

Since you all collectively gave away your power .. you will never get it back.
It was up to all of you to demand transparency and accountability and input into how it all runs.
Instead you all let these exchanges run in secrecy with no accountability at all.

I left Cryptsy after lambasting them here on the forum yelling at them over a delay here or there and a loss of a few cents (simply out of the principle)
I roasted them and screamed it's OUR FUCKING COINS ASSHOLES AND DON'T FORGET IT !
I bitched and made a stink over less than a dollar.
I got perma-banned from chat.
I stuck up for our ideals and lived the shit talk you like to spew (but not act on)
I seen what they were doing and left.

Or you should if you are trolling hoping for lower prices perhaps.  All depends on your objectives in life      So far as I've experienced and in contrast to cryptsy towards the end, Poloniex is responsive.  Best criticism would be based on examples and repeated faults in the operation of that exchange

still going I see... I gave up watching this for a while and I got bored so I thought to check back in and see what was happening.

Too bad Vern has not been dragged back to the states in handcuffs... or bits of him haven't been washing up on a beach someplace.

I did see that that cryptocrack / eternal insolent person was back in Feb. That was amusing. Not only that but claims that he has over a million in losses... 1750 in BTC + alts.
He got caught trolling Vern and JShock with his "ill get the coins back in 24 hours if you pay me" crap, and then went on to ask the users here for money as a bounty so he could hunt down the money...

He lost millions on cryptsy but needs a few grand from the users here to help him get the coins back for everyone?


I really hope someone informs the receiver that this guy is going to try to scam the process, and that they should look extra hard at any claims he puts forward.

I agree, it' not ONLY people who got a notice, they were just in the old DB found. Anyone who lost anything should contact the receiver. Don't just assume you don't have enough evidence. Always worth a shot to reach out and contact them.
