Newbies should take essential notes of everything and how it do play out. They should be extremely careful because the forum comes with complex details and we should learn to avoid breaking the rules.

Your absolutely right, there are laydown principles that will boost the bitcoin forum account of members and it do comes with opportunities. I've learn to adapt to the system and always coming in for legit details.
We can't learn everything all at once; it's a gradual process. All I have come to understand about the forum is that we can just be learning as we go, asking questions and getting clarification on things that we don't understand very well about the forum, just like the Op of the thread did.

Sometimes too, if not for the shake of the forum alone learning and trying to understand basis things might also help in other areas of life depending on what the person picks interest to learn about.

How can one bump or is it for admistrators only? I want to know. Thanks
Anyone can bump a thread. But this is common to the thread that the person created himself. If the thread is not on the first page anymore but has moved down more further, all what should be done is to post 'bump' under the thread. Most people that post bump will delete the last bump the next day and post another bump. Or if someone replied to the post after the bump, the bump can be deleted by the person that posted it.

As a newbie in this forum in this forum i wish to know about what bumping means and how to bump.
Just as others had explained, bumping of thread simply means raising a thread that has not been active for long. If you reply a thread that is not among the first three pages, it is called bumping, which means you wake an argument or the discussion due to some reasons which can include needing more explanation from the general public or from the OP.

Sometimes, many people don’t like bumping threads because it is been done by some users who are just willing to meet their posting requirements for their respective signature campaigns; but for Service boards, it is very important so that you will bring your thread up for business discussions.

In simple terms, bumbing means bringing up your thread to be amongst the hot threads or recent threads.

It's just to create an awareness that this thread is still very much open to new ideas which is mostly done when one is not satisfied with the current response. Not more nothing less.

you can bumb this thread if it's a good thread that requires more visibility.

Op I believe you've received quality answers from high rank members of the forum. In addition to bump a thread, bumping as the word implies is to push up a thread to the first page where other members of the forum might be interested to share their ideas. Not all threads need to be bumped up most especially the irrelevant ones, debative threads are always at the first page of every board, when you create a thread that is not worth debating it wouldn't gain much attention from members of this forum and other debative threads will swallow it up,and there's absolutely no reason to push up threads to the first page when it's isn't necessary otherwise it's just like spamming the forum.

I was curious to ask about what bump means on [Suspicious link removed] ,which i saw when i was reading the forum rules . When i was reading the rules i came across something called bumping ,and is said to be done once per thread in 24 hours so i became curious and wish to ask about what it means.

As a newbie in this forum in this forum i wish to know about what bumping means and how to bump.

Bump is mostly use by users that have a service thread and want users in the forum to know about the services. Aside them, I don’t see users just writing bump on their thread without it having any meaning to what they’ve bumping it for. If you look at the forum very well, you’ll observe that it is just in the service board you’ll see them and that’s to show you that it’s mostly used by advertisers in the forum.

If you respond to a thread that you’ve created or another user thread by just writing “bump”, it could be term as spamming the thread because it doesn’t add any value to what you’re referring or posting it for. I haven’t seen it before, but make sure whatever you do, it has a meaning to what you’re tying to draw the attention of other forum users for so that you won’t be termed as shit poster.

That's why some users here always given advice that we should not post in hold threads to avoid bump, this is my little explanation for you Mate you can check on other's members reply for more clarification.
You can post if you see your post is necessary for discussion in that thread. If your post is helpful to help OP or the discussion, why do you think you need to hold your post just for avoiding bump.

For spammers they don't care about their posts, the thread discussion or bump, they only write their spam posts and leave.

The word of bump is simple means when a person is looking for a thread that will post instead of him to Look search for the new threads, but some people's will go down of the pages some will even go the third pages and peak the the old thread and once he post for there the the thread can definitely come to the top of the page, at that it will turn to bump thread.

I guess you have all the answers you need about bumping with the comments you’ve got this far as, it ain’t any distanced from its dictionary meaning while, the rules ensures that, you don’t abuse the privilege just to ensure your thread stays top. Interesting threads don’t need bumping to remain visible but, not all threads are supposedly interesting, given that, some threads leaves no room for continual discussing.

You might want to lock this thread after now to avoid it being taken over for some spam posting. Go do that, look at the bottom right corner of this page and you would find a lock note down there. Click and the thread be locked. Don’t stray from the rules as you learn them, it’s your stronghold on the forum.

Hello, It's great that you have so much interest in learning.

BUMP is usually done to attract more attention to the discussion of the post or to solicit additional responses. You can BUMP if your thread goes too far down the thread list or if you want users to pay more attention to your thread. BUMP moves your thread to the top of the list making it visible to more users. You can see the use of BUMP in many forums.

Thank you.

As a newbie in this forum in this forum i wish to know about what bumping means and how to bump.

If you made a post and it down below the first page and has not been considered for reply for some obvious reason, or maybe you want to remind of the existence of the thread for others to see and have in mind for recognition, then you may chose to bump the thread, this will make it go up and appear on the first page, so as other members may see it or comment under it, this should be done also on post that are not spam neither should anyone take the advantage of that to spam up a board.

In addition to what you've been told by experienced forum members about what bump means, in another word it means to resurrect a thread that has moved from the first page of a board. You can bump your thread to receive more attention, maybe to get further clarity, and another forum member can likewise make post on your thread that have left the first page of the board where you started the topic and the thread will reappear on the first page again. Remember to always abide by the forum rules, it's the best place to learn and discuss about the crypto space.

As a newbie in this forum in this forum i wish to know about what bumping means and how to bump.
In most of the threads in this forum, they are ranked according to the latest posts made on them. For example, if you have created this thread, and nobody will reply to it, then after some time this thread will be buried under the pile of other threads which are either active or created after this thread of yours. So, to keep your head in the first page or at the top of the first page, you might want it to remain active.

But let's say its an service announcement threads, where you are offering your services, and due to other new or active topics, you thread is being buried and maybe no one would know you are there so keep your thread on the top or in front of other members, there is option of bumping, you can do it either by writing bumping because I saw some members doing it, don't know if writing only 1 word is good but it would be better to write something else not just bump or one word For example this dude here (OP) posted the ad again with different words.

I believe you no the meaning of Bump in this forum, it means create more service in a thread that will make the forum to make a good contribution and impact, you can read some links sent to you on this trend so that you can understand new things from the forum that will increase your mood of learning.
That’s not the meaning of a ‘Bump’. Everyone else on the thread gave the correct answer to OP’s question, it goes to show that you do not read the replies of others on the thread before making your post. Don’t confuse OP, this is again is a good example why members frown at newbies teaching other newcomers.
