Indeed. That's what I am assuming too. Once they will break this partnership may be we will start seeing Sri Lanka lost their track. Their middle order really is not performing up to the mark.

Australia needs to break this partnership.

Srilanka can win in only one condition if they try to show good mind set for next 20 overs. keep their heads down and taking single-doubles without taking any extra risk. that's what they need to chase down 300+ score otherwise we can see another collapse from Sri Lankan side.

Sri lanka is 1 down now but this is a batting pitch. If they didn't make any silly mistakes, they can easily win it from here. Australia has not been able to perform well in this tournament. They have a weak team. Pakistan could have won over them the last day if they could have hold some wickets. I hope Srilanka would have their first win today.

What a brilliant start from Sri Lanka team. This is the highest total in power-play so far in the tournament. I guess this must required since they suffered in the middle order, so this partnership must go on in order to secure win. Before I thought Australia win the match easily, however at this point this is going to tough for them.

Looks like Sri Lanka is responding very well so far. Both openers are playing fearlessly. I would like to see how far they go. 67 tuns from only 8.1 overs without losing any wicket.

Afghanistan was cruising comfortably when rain interrupted their match against South Africa. I don't know whether the match will get washed out or not, but the initial signals are encouraging.

Edit: Play will restart at 2:20 pm GMT and since it was a relatively short break no overs will be lost.

They got a very good start, and now they need to capitalize on that.

I am not watching Afghanistan vs South Africa yet but looking at the scoreboard we can say that Afghanistan started well. They need to keep the wickets in hand and need to give SA a decent target if they want to defend this match.

350 is definitely achievable, since they have depth in their batting order (Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey are known as big hitters). On top of that they have 6 wickets in hand. Only Malinga has caused trouble to the Australian batsmen till now. Others like Pradeep and Udana have gone for plenty. 24 balls remaining and Australia need 44 more to reach 350.

Australia played very well today and will reach most probably 350+ and this score is out of reach for Sri Lanka, they don't have batting to chase down this.
So we can easily say Australia will win this match with ease.

They reduced the number of teams from 14 to 10, saying that it will decrease the chances of having one sided matches. And just check how many one-sided matches we had so far. One thing is very clear.... the gap between the big 3 (IND, AUS, ENG) and the other sides are increasing (NZ is an exception). Smaller teams such as Sri Lanka and South Africa are getting irrelevant.
