The latest player to dump South Africa is Colin Ackermann, who announced last week that he'll be representing the Netherlands side from now on. Netherlands already have lot of South African born players, such as Roelof van der Merwe, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Stefan Myburgh.

I also have no idea what was wrong with the management for not to have at least one reserve day for all matches. In England the weather is very unpredictable, they should know it.
Usually they do not have a reserve day in world cup matches during the initial stage of the tournament, but in semi final and finals you might see a reserve day if the weather plays a part as they usually continue the match the following day, this is by far the worst world cup for South Africa after their reintroduction to international cricket in 1992 and there were reports that AB de Villiers was willing to join the squad before the world cup team selection but the selectors turned him down and if he was in the team i am sure some of the matches would have been different. This is really sad that we lost two matches just because of weather and they have no reserve days for this they need to fix this before start of event as this is mega event and all have equal chance feeling sad for both SA and Wi as they both need this match to be completed. Another unfortunate event, The match has been officially abandoned, both teams will get a point.
This is absurd, the ICC should have been prepared for such occurrence, It's a world cup for crying out loud! I don't how many more matches will have to be called off like this, the less stronger team will always have the advantage in such situation, which is really unfair, IMO.

Hoping that the inspection allows play to go ahead for a 20 over game, although I bet SA are hoping this one gets called off at 29/2
A 20 over game would probably favour the Windies even without SA's terrible start, their batting style usually results in a higher strike rate anyway.

So this would be the second match of the tournament to be washed off? I heard that they have a pitch inspection at 3:45pm GMT, but I am not very hopeful about that. From the TV broadcast, it looks like a slight drizzle is still on. The most surprising thing is the absence of reserve days. This is such an important tournament, and the ICC refused to have reserve days?

Amla is not having good time and same goes with South Africa. They are showing very poor performance which is unexpected. People were considering the one of the close competitor of the tournament winner but seems like they will not be eliminated in the first round.

South Africa playing worst cricket last six months, they lost test series in their home against very bad Sri Lanka team, really no hope left for South Africa,
they have some good individual players but not a good team for now for international level.
