Buttler and Morgan gone and with 18 balls remaining 375 looks like a decent target. They need to score 34 more from 3 overs. Ben Stokes is definitely capable of making some huge hits, but I am not that sure about Chris Woakes. One more wicket and the tail will start with Jofra Archer.. so the English batsmen may not have as much freedom as they would like.

England are 298/3 after 42 overs. How much more they can make in another 8 overs? Can they get to 400? It may require 102 runs from 48 balls, which is difficult but not impossible (going by the current trends). Buttler seems to be in great form, but Eoin Morgan is lagging behind in scoring rate. I expect ENG to score somewhere between 375 and 400.
It's 309 runs now and they have 7 more wickets in hand. Only 3 wickets gone. So 375 runs is a realistic predicted score. They can score even more since they are trying to hit every ball. Bangladesh bowlers are not doing much in this match.

In the WI batting part I did not understand why HOLDER needed to hit Starc when one ball earlier they lost the last recognize batsman. That 2nd last over from Starc drawn the line in between win and draw.

Bangladesh has beaten England twice in World cup 2011 and 2015. I hope for the same repeat today. Bangladesh could have beat NZ on the last match but luck wasn't with them and also I felt they were poor at Batting. To reach SF, Both Bangladesh and England want to win the match. England is no1 in ODI rank and Bangladesh is on no7 but in the world cup we cant depends on statistics. England lost the last match against Pakistan so they would be in pressure. Let's hope for an interesting match 
England will probably win this one comfortably. Bangladesh don't win consistently based on my analysis. They played well against SA, but SA was never in a strong position to begin with due to injured players, string of losses etc.

One option is to give all the 2 points to the higher ranked side, but then the other team will complain that they are being treated unfairly by the ICC.
Considering the example of the yesterday match between Pak Vs Sri, if this rule was implemented, whom will ICC given the 2 points based on higher rank team ? Pakistan just a good match against England but their previous matches performance was a disaster . And same is the case with SriLanka.
I think no one can decide which team is stronger (in most matches) unless they actually play and perform on the day.

I do hope that the rains stops and we do have a match and a proper winner. Match being declared as no result is never been a fair decision for a stronger side.

But I agree with your first point. It is very unfair to the stronger side. Especially when there are no reserve days (which is appalling, considering the importance of this tournament). It will depend upon who will win the toss as conditions will be not the normal. It will be over cast and cloudy and ball will swing too. Seeing the performance of Lasith Malinga in the last match, i can say that he might win this match too for the Sri Lanka. All this will only come into play when the play will start. Although the rain has stopped, and Inspection is going on, but another rain shower can end the match as drawn.
