China doesn't have any elephants to kill, otherwise they probably would. I think this happened with rhino horns, but we just need the market to be flooded with fake tusks, so that the end user of the tusks will be scammed themselves. Either that or follow the tusks with a bullet to the head, and eventually there will be no more tusk collectors Cheesy

Where I live, some people do eat dogs (especially the Nagas), although it is rare. But I don't have anything against them. Dogs are just like any other animal. If we can kill buffaloes and goats for food, then why not dogs? Also, I am not very fond of the dogs. In India, they cause more than 10,000 deaths every year (mostly children and the elderly).

China would be number 1. There're a lot documentaries showing how cruel Chinese's towards the animals. I saw a video way way back, Chinese workers are force feeding chicken and ducks to look big and healthy. The thing is they are using metal pipes to suck in the food directly to mouth down into stomach. Also, Duck's feather are forcefully removed while they're still alive and to add they are wallowing the ducks into pale of Hot water ALIVE!. To add, they do have festival wherein they're killings dogs for entertainment.

But if you go hunting for land animals to also eat, it has a very different connotation to some people like hunting deer for example (even people that eat meat themselves). Most people that carry these views don't understand the atrocities going on around the world, focus on a narrow part of it, and have a very strong opinion towards it.

The Cecil scandal was entirely unnecessary. The hunters pay a heavy license fee to be able to shoot these animals. This cash, is in turn given to the conservation activities and to the welfare of the people living around the national parks. By taking a single life, the hunter is protecting dozens of others. They are much better than the keyboard warriors here.

Okay, we have different opinion but the foie gras I think is the liver of the fattened duck and it is done that way for human consumption. Dogs are not made for that. They are man's bestfriend. Yes correct, westeners should stop killing sharks for the sake of having its fin. Do other fish do not taste the same fins? Maybe the way to stop it is not to appreciate it.

You will understand how barbaric is this practice after watching the video. I never ever had Foie gras in my entire life. And I will never take it in the future as well. And regarding the shark fin, it is not about harvesting the fin. It is about the pain which the sharks have to undergo while the hunters extract their fin (while they are still alive).

I definitely agree with you, chinese people must be stopped for their animal cruelty, dogs are not meant to be eaten, they are pets. They are not apart of livestock. These must be stopped, even if they treat it lime a delicacy.

Chinese people must be stopped by whom? It's not like you can go to China and start enforcing these things as a foreigner. The population doesn't have empathy or awareness towards animals. Until that awareness increases substantially, it will continue to happen.
