Rather than change the forum you can just enable it in the browser. Plenty of extensions out there, here is an example:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dark-mode/dmghijelimhndkbmpgbldicpogfkceaj

Quick and easy, and you can just find one that suits
And how secured is this option? I think we should prioritize safety than the dark mode, I just tried putting my device and also my browser through the settings on dark mode still it did not affect this forum site, but generally the browser in actively in a dark mode.

Well an alternative for this to reduce the harms on your eyes is to put the device on eye care, reduce you brightness or some even more care is getting a blue ray glasses.

Kiwi browser can do the job for installing plugins such as BPIP.org or stylish extension to customized the theme of the forum.
Stylish extension was at some point pulled from the shelves of some vrowsersncause it was allegedly a spyware which steals user information. This is a risk with any extension out there, especially those offered by Google or other privacy intrusive platforms.

If you can't find any you trust, then it's not worth the risk to use a potentially harmful extension to achieve dark mode on your device.

If you're not okay with extensions then use Opera which has night mode as a built in feature and for God's sake today only I noticed it very good to use than other dark modes which I used in the past to filter blue and not harming my eyes. Dark mode in Opera is giving good details than others and also you have settings to dim the brightness of the keyboard as well in case if you're a mobile user.

That's it for now and I will add more if I found anything interesting.

P.S I am writting this in dark mode on Opera browser.

For Android mobile users there are a few browsers that enables chromium extension. Opera does work fine but it is slow and heavy. A few days back I came across an Android browser known as Lemur. Doesn't require a lot to understand it as it is similar to the others. Does come up with ChatGPT3 as their own buit in browser extension. Dark mode is when enabled doesn't work for the forum. There are extension for it.

Not sure if it is still available!

I’m doing it all using Kiwi which also supports developer tool option without heavy loading like opera.

yes i also searched in account section it said function disabled when we browse more time for information its very difficulty to use light theme admin team must consider this and activate dark them for users

That dark theme function on our account settings is disabled ever since I start the forum. Dark mode was requested many times since this white background is very stressful in the eyes at night. Use stylish extension to get the perfect result for your preference. All dark theme available for Bitcointalk varies on dark shade that might still not suit you.

how to activate dark Theme for bitcoin tolk its very hard to read

The forum is not on Facebook or any other social media. I have searched for the dark mode option before on the forum in order to reduce the screen brightness, which I did not see. I can't find such an option in the account settings.

And even if you use your browser to change the color or theme setting to dark mode, it won't still reflect on the forum. The forum color is default, and I have seen it change. Maybe in the near future, when poker player want to have their usual fun playing with code, dark mode could possibly be considered, and then we can hope for Thymos to approve it.

Should in case of screen brightness and effects on the eye, it's not the forum's challenge or responsibility to make changes to that, but it has to come from our own personal actions to look into the whole situation if we think that over exposure of the eye on the screen is having negative impact on our eye, then we should check these out.

1.Try to reduce the screen brightness of your device being used
2. Put your browser to dark mode or night mode under it's settings
3. Activate the eye care function/button under your notification bar for those using mobile phones
4. Get a privacy screen guide/protector to all reduce the concentration of brightness to the eye
5. Reduce your active login time or always take a break while on the screen for too long.

I currently have one script installed in my Tampermonkey browser extension that puts the forum on dark mode, I can't recall the thread where I saw and copy the code from, probably got it from the search option in TamperMonkey itself.

It can be done even easier with the BPIP extension to be installed on your browser (at least firefox or chrome based). And it comes with many other benefits (features).
But as said, this is a too often asked topic, just do a search please.

Sure it's not in the forum's settings but that does not mean it can be done with an extension.

Here's a screenshot of this thread in dark mode.

I would have love to share the code with Op but I don't know how safe the code is and I won't be the cause of someone losing/getting their info stolen. Btw, I don't use it i only just turned it on for the sake of this thread only.
