If you have time make day trading, you can do day trading and holding same time. However if you have another job day trading is too risky and stressful so only holding is better option.

I agree with everyone who says both. Yes I myself am engaged in both day trading and holding, I'm not sure nor do I advise this to anyone but ever since I started trading I have been engaged in both. Only a few days ago when I started to think that I made a wrong decision by investing in a coin and holding it for this long that the coin started to pump and I'm in profits now so I will continue following the same strategy and I'll continue day trading and holding both at the same time..

I would just like to hear your opinions, Which is more profitable, Day Trading where you can profit through buying the dips and selling when it pumps repeatedly, or Long term HODLing where you buy the dip and only sell it when it goes up 5 to 10 times its price value?

I always do holding than day trade because for me holding is more better to use than day trade. I earn many money because of the holding. I can say that holding is more effective to use than day trade.

The safest is holding, just like you said it can grow ten folds without doing anything. There might be risk but minimal.
Trading. Not yet for me. This could lead to an instant loss which I dont want for now.
I will profit first from the coins I bought and maybe use that to deal with trading.
I need more knowledge before I could get there.

I prefer to trade with profits that can be earned every day. If using a large capital gains are gained satisfactory.
As for holding I still can not analyze a coin that will rise in the future.
You are lucky if you are good at day trading. Many people fear day trading especially because they lose money usually here. Holding as comparatively is safer especially if you are holding bitcoins. Everyone knows that they do rise in value after every dump. I will prefer holding bitcoins than trading with them.
hold bitcoin only when you have a good amount of bitcoin and if you have less it is just waste of time holding it,yes the price will pump still you cant stick to small amount of bitcoin for lifetime.

define good amount of bitcoin!
is it $1000 worth of bitcoin or is $1 worth of bitcoin also acceptable?

$1 worth of bitcoin was equal to 10BTC once. so do you still consider that a "waste of time" to hold on to this amount of bitcoin? you see as a long term investment, price will continue to go up and in a couple of years what seemed small will be huge.
when I started using bitcoin price was about $200 and all the "small amounts" that I earned and held are now worth a fortune.
you can see an example of them here: $7.47 payment is now worth $152

For me, those two is the best because its depend on our nature of daily life. Holding and day trading was almost the same because you can earn a profit. The earning profit of day trading is small for me because we need to sell it before you sleep to prevent missing high peak price. And the earning profit of long term trading is you can gain huge profit because it can multiply your capital as much as it can.

It really depends when is  the date we're talking about. For some holding a longer is more profitable when you hold 2 years ago. But if you hold now the risk is high as prices is high too. If day by day trading is more profitable when your good at it and it is less risky than the other one.

What sites are you using to daytrade?  Is Bittrex the best option?

The other thing is aren't there lot of coins on coinmarketcap that are not available on bittrex?  If so, how do you get those coins?  How do you even trade/sell those coins?

As far as bitcoin trading is concerned, buying in the dips and holding them for long term only would be beneficial since bitcoin price increases gradually only in long term.Totally opposite to it,altcoin market is highly volatile and so buying in dips and immediately selling when it pumps is profitable, that is day trading in a short period of time even trading many times in a single day itself.

Buying in dips and then saving in your wallet until the price doe bitcoins are going so high and high. This is very wise strategy I think but for the new comers that could have not that good. Bitcoins price is fluctuating all the time and you can’t predict the next move but holding is better in this regard. Wait for long and get huge profit.

I do both. I retain 50% of what I have and the other 50% I used to buy Altcoins. When it rose to 20%, I will sell it and I will have 70% of the. Also I continue to take 70% buy altcoin...
Generally I always hold back 50% of my capital.

That's a far better way in the bitcoin related profiting. Diversified way of using bitcoin will help users overcome loss, even if something happens unexpected. Here holding of bitcoin will be prioritized by users who have good backup of fiat other than his requirement for elite living. So such personalities just to be on the secure side without much time spending just buy and keep hold of it.

Absolutely, it depends how you balance your trading. You may do day trade and hodling for a long term investment. Both is profitable you can do as long you know how to do trade and decision making.

Keep investing on a monthly basis in btc and some % in good altcoins . it could be ETHM ZCASH, Monero etc which have good future . This will help you to diversify your portfolio and you may get good returns if any of those coins keep rising like btc in coming time.

Also with those profits booked you can trade btc or other coins daily and reinvest those in buying and holding good coins for future.
