I do both. But love to holding for long time. In day trade you have to keep eye on the market for whole time so it is stressful to me that why I prefer holding for long time.

Why keep it for long if you make a profit on day trading at the pump? vice versa, why sell it daily if it does not make a profit. The point depends only on the situation at hand and that's my thinking

For me. It depends on the goal of the trader. If he want it to invest for long term then hold it while if he just want to have a profit in short term even if it is not big then go day trading.
Yes. I totally agree with it depending on their respective thoughts and if they want to keep holding or selling it their choice. For me if the daily trading gets the profit. why have to wait long to sell but it is actually difficult to earn profits in daily trading

Do you have experience trading and have a established profitable strategy? If yes, then day trading is mofe profitable for you. If not, better hold your coins. Day trading is profitable but there is also a chance to lose.If you do not have enough experience, you might incur more losses than win.

At the present both day trading and holding of bitcoin seems profitable. Holding will be profitable for the large volume bitcoin holders, but with the small scale holders the price profiting is found high with day trading as the price difference is happening in large scale in a short time.

If you really want to see your profits right away like some people who can't wait then you go for day trading but if you don't want to monitor your trading and would prefer longer days or month or even years so you could really see the difference then you should go for long term trading.

I would just like to hear your opinions, Which is more profitable, Day Trading where you can profit through buying the dips and selling when it pumps repeatedly, or Long term HODLing where you buy the dip and only sell it when it goes up 5 to 10 times its price value?

It depends on your skills and interest because day short traders do really earn some good decent amounts if they do know how to trade with it and i would say that its really hard to do such thing but once you do get used and knowledgeable with it then you can really simple make money on ease not on constant winnings but somehow a good trade that will give you gradual amounts. Hodling is an another story and the simpliest thing which is you would just mainly hold for long term and sell it when the price multiplied already.

Theoretically day trading may get you more profits but the losses you may face may eat up your extra profits which is not the case with long term holding. So, holding seems risk free more profitable to any trader.

You should not choose based on which type of trading is profitable. But you need to choose based on your skill, if you are capable of avoiding losses then day trading is recommended to you. Otherwise just buying and holding will be definite profitable with respect to bitcoin (alone).

Mostly I do day trade, just hold a couple coin like Ethereum and Waves, and Bitcoin 50% for capital trade and 50% for saving. Both are profitable day trade and wait for 5-10 price up.
Yeah, day trader still need have some reserve funds for buy altcoin or Bitcoin when have dip price on market or some opportunity as bloodbath, flash crash. And do that will helps you can peace of mind when trading every day, example still have last defense Smiley

Day trade where you can experience how trading works and playing of it most probably the way it pump and dump. Holding for a long term or short term are both profitable to me.

Both of them I do. But in my opinion more profitable long-term trading, because it will gain greater benefits than daily trading. But with a note "select altcoin that really has potential". Daily trading I do if there is altcoin which I think is good and has a high volume, so the movement of coins will be very fast and I can do buying and selling quickly too.

I'm buying bitcoin and hodling it. Like most, for intraday-trading I use altcoins.

I am doing both day trading and holding. Day trading is mostly for coins that pump and dump.
For those coins that have potential in the long term, I will hold for a longer period.

you didn't say what, this board is the general trading forum mostly focusing on cryptocurrencies in general and sometimes only bitcoin.
for different markets different approaches are sometimes more appropriate and for different times different approaches.

my personal method is buying bitcoin whenever I have money and holding it. sometimes (on rare occasions) when there is a lot of FUD and I am fairly certain of a dump I sell to buy back in the dip afterwards for a huge profit. other times I am not so happy about day trading bitcoin but it is very possible.

for day trading I go in altcoins. mostly those with high volume or those altcoins that are getting pumped that particular day. it is always hard thing to perform successfully but the profit is good enough to cover any possible mistakes (losses).

I am doing a mixture of daily trading and hodling. So, I "know" in the long run I will (hopefully) have some nice profits but I am not forced to make daily trading every day. If you would focus only on day trading then you might run into the problem that you have to do something everyday even if the situation is really bad. But it is better to have the freedom to skip daily trading for some days.

Both, is profitable and depends on your capital amount to trade ,Somehow, day trading is more hard to do if you have no good skills on it it it a very risky game ,you are like trading of war which in any moment it can dump hard or pump hard . Long term holding is a sure profit if you invested in a Altcoin that have a big potential in the next months or years.
