in my opinion day trading is better than ICOs because ico can be fake and you will lose all your money. in day trading you can lose but not all your money. in this reason i do not join ICOs.

I think if you very good at trading it's more profitable, but why not do both

It highly depends on the market. If you would ask about that in 2015 most people would tell you that trading is more profitable. In 2017 the answer would be ICOs. But in 2018 we will see. We wait for a lot more regulation in the cryptomarket and a lot of good stong project will cancel thier ICOs and it will be much harder to earn from that regularly. I'd say that trading is more stable if you professional but as partial income ICOs is good thing. But be carefull 95%+ ICO will fail. Do your homework carefully before invest.

I personally suggest that never do day trading instead ICO is better than in day trading. But, If you are interested in the day trading then take very minimal of profit by excluding your fees for the trade.

I prefer trading because i can work at any time and depend entirely on myself rather than on other people. That's cool!

ICO away promising than in trade monthly. but of course, the big results require great risks as well as many of the many scam ICO trap about it. therefore be careful in ICO in order to keep a big profit.

in the current falling market, I think it's better to take a break in investing in ICO. Daytrading, taking into account the movement of bitcoin, is more determined for obtaining a profit

Two ways will give you a small profit. But if during day trading you risk to stay with nothing, then ICO has a greater percentage of winnings. There are also tokens at the presale level and there is a risk that with the bear market their price will drop and no one will give guarantees from scammers. But as for me it is better Ico.

You can still day trade if you want by setting up your auto sell if your coin price reach the price that you want it to reach to get a profit, I do not know if there is also auto sell set up on other trading site but for now I am using bittrex for day trade, I do have account on hitbtc and qryptos but I have tried it there or there is also auto sell set up.ICOs also is a good way if you invested in a good and potential project but be careful for scam ICOs because it is much painful than lose in trading.

I totally agree with you. I also have a fulltime job so i cant trade. Instead, I invest in good altcoin and ICO projects. Holding them in a long term. After few months, i can get their profit

Daytrading consumes a lot of your time, that is why i prefer to invest and have some rest for a while.

I am not saying that ICOS are bad enough, or that daytrading is not profitable.. only that they do not suit to me, i don't feel confortable enough by trading.

If you have a lot of money like 1m or more, so in my opinion it's much better to invest in ICO with good conditions(like 30%-40% bonus). But not a lot of people have so much money.

You need to have financial background and more then 5 years experience to day trade and get profit from it.

It is better to start investing to ICOs but be careful and diversify risks.

The next upcoming ICO is lccx.io - looks like promising exchange based in London.  Well developed white paper, experienced team, located in politically stable jurisdiction.

Both is profitable, but as others mentions it is harder to make money on ICO'S in a bearish market like this, unless the ICO has a lot of hype. I would say that investing in ICO's would be the best option for "regular people", it does not take a lot of time and if you choose the right ones you earn a profit without a lot of work.

Daytrading on the other hand requires a lot of work and research, but you can make money no matter if the market is bearish or bullish.

You said many people earn a lot of money from trading in one day ha ha ha this is very interesting. The easier you say is not that easy i think because regularly daily profit from trade is very difficult.Trade is more risky i think. On the other thing ICO investing is not bad but firstly needed a lot of research regarding this ICO who interested to invest. But be careful from scam ICO.

the two are risky but I prefer to invest in ICO you can gain big profit than day trading but ICO's are more risky your money can be pop up like a bubble because some of ICOs are scam so research first before you invest.

I choose day trading because with day trading can maximize the risk of loss and we can determine how much profit we get. so I think we can use day trading rather than ico more definitely get profit.

This is a good time to invest in ICOs because the market is in a downward trend so trading days are extremely risky for your assets if you are not a professional trader. ICO investment is less risky because during this time if the ICO project mobilizes enough capital then it is really a very good project.

The possibility of making a lot of money in one day, via day trading, is alluring to most.  However, if you're working a full-time job (or two) how can you spend time watching the market to know when to buy and sell?  I'm in a few other groups and people are often promoting ICOs as the way to go.  They definitely require less monitoring.  What do y'all think?

These are completely different approaches, and there is no sense to compare them. In trading you need to keep your hand on the pulse, in the ICO - to own information.
