Think for yourself
On Deepbit.net's main page it says "Bitcoin mining allows you to make money with your computer (even when you are AFK)".

What does "AFK" mean?

For reasons I can't explain, my % of stale shares has gone through the roof this morning (just woke up).  Yesterday, they were averaging (as usual) single digit stales.  Now I'm seeing 10%, 20% even more than 30% on some of my machines.

Nothing has changed on my end.  Any idea why this might be?

While I'm happy to hear there isn't a penalty (I wasn't really expecting one), the behavior was still very much present.  I know I switched modes at approximately 10:30 and at 22:30.  While I could understand the current block not being switched, the change actually took 6 blocks each way, equal to about 5 hours on average after I changed the settings.  This happened on two different occasions.  I have two miners running, both were switched at the same time.
Thanks for your report, I'll check this.

If you see less "reward" per some number of shares it doesn't means that your reward was lost, it means that some of those shares were correctly or accidentally accounted as PPS and thus not shown.

Is there a penalty for switching to PPS and back to Prop too often?  I've had several instances where I would switch to PPS and then get the next 5 blocks at 50% of normal Prop payout.  The 6th block would be 20% normal and then full PPS.  The reverse was true when I went back to Prop, (20% then 5 @ 50% before full Prop payout).

I noticed back about 10 pages someone was commenting that they were being paid out less than expected, they were getting the same percentages, but they didn't specify any other conditions.
No, there is no any 50% or 20% penalty for switching. Your payout mode will change in a few minutes after pressing the button.

Hey Guys, just looking into my stats ive realized i just found a block
26.06 10:58:29   0h 05m     204    305989     0.03233450

Now my normal rewards for all rounds is about 0.027
Is that extra payment okay right? I thought no benefits were obtained if your worker solved a block or not...
No, that was just luck :)

@Tycho: I've tried the past two days, to reset my password, I've PM'd you and It's still not working.. please send me a password reset manually. I'm tired waiting.
I already answered your PM yesterday.

Up to this moment we never had any problems with confirmations on gmail.com mailboxes.
But OK, I just resent it to you manually.

Think for yourself
When BTC are transferred into my account in my Bitcoin client/wallet, do the confirmations just continually increment indefinitely?  Or does that eventually stop?
It should never stop because "confirmations" is just the number of blocks after the one with your transactions + 1.

Thanks,
Sam

I hit instant payment 5 hours ago and it is still hanging at zero confirmations...the block chain is up to date in the client (ie showing the correct current block number)
Address I sent to is 18Mbf6GkwhXyCa5uehxAWqVkBcCXDwo5hg...what's the problem here?
I have the same problem - I checked the transaction on block explorer and it is still listed - as low priority.  Same 5 hour wait 0 confirmations.
If you see your transaction at bitcoincharts it means that it was already sent by the pool to the bitcoin network and is waiting to be included in some block. This may take some time, but it should surely be confirmed.

Yes, when I change the worker password, it shows in the new password in the Worker table.  But the old password works and the new one does not.
Thanks for your report, I'll check if there is a bug or not.

UPDATE:  Payment finally went through...not sure what caused the long hold-up though.
