I gotta ask, why are you guys sticking with deepbit with the constant connection issues?  I am a noob at this and I switched off the first day it started giving me problems, which was 4 days ago.  Since then been 4 days without a single connection issue over at bitcoins.lc and have made about 1.5x the bitcoins per day as I was making over at deepbit.  I stuck with deepbit for a while and it certainly has the best web layout, but who wants to constantly be dealing with connection issues and miners sitting idle doing nothing?

My experience, until today, was the exact opposite :/

Finally I know why my router is blocking me from deepbit - black list defend. For some reason it adds deepbit to its blacklist. Now, any idea how to turn it off? (Belkin F5D7632). Already I turn off firewall, but it didnt help.

Would you ever considering having a second private connection/server/pool for your largest contributors?

This makes sense. While hobbyists will probably have an easy time swapping pools, for people with multiple rigs it's a pain to reconfigure all of them.

Just add a hidden server address to people on the member page after their hashrate is 1.5- 5ghash/s or more.
To prevent it's leaking (or rather the effects of leaking), require past 24 hours hashrate to be over 1.5 to 5 ghash/s+ in order to connect to the server.

Because top contributors lose significant money during downtime.

Okey Dokey Lokey
Well, I've left deepbit, and probly for good, I love tycho and all. But when i get the choice of what % fee do you want?, It's just so much better
Now im mining over at BTCguild, Email notifications are sweet, paying only .5% fee and i chose too, Got sick and tired of waiting for tycho to implment email notifications.

C'mon over guys and help prevent deepbit from reaching 50%~, Lets even out the pie chart!

or a white list server for those with static IPs Wink

Or require everyone to install dynamic DNS programs and force a server wide white list.

yep, my connections working again.

I must say the suggestion for a unknown to public deepbit server for high volume miners would really help alot.

What percentage of downtime are people averaging over the past few days on Deepbit?  How does it compare to other pools?  Deepbit is the only one I've ever used but really looking like I need to switch.

I spread out on 4 pools and all are affected by this shit.

Some lonely gentleman has decided to DoS pools, blockexplorer and even bitcoin.org.

Somebody is butthurt over bitcoin.

Over the past few days my productivity on deepbit is down nearly 25% from what it ought to have been without the disruptions of the past several days.  That 25% can't be read as deepbit down time because when deepbit does go down I'm not always immediately available to get my miners back on deepbit, although that 25% is because deepbit has been down a lot over the past few days.
