Is there some issue with payout verification? I clicked instant payout at :23 past the hour and in 25 minutes I have not gotten one confirmation, but in that time, three blocks were found by deepbit. Anyone else having payout issues or does anyone know what's going on?

Ah, darn it. I was sure I switched back to proportional, but alas, double checking it, I was still on PPS!

Thanks guys, should be good to go now.

It worked for the first day, then I think I changed from proportional to PPS and the stats stopped working.
Your reward will be shown in block list only if your payment method is Proportional because PPS mode doesn't depends on blocks at all.

In some cases its because you've swapped over mid-block and I think a quirk of the payout system keeps you as PPS for current block, then just the 1 hour delay on stats Tycho has in place.
No, the reward mode switch is instant, your next share will be counted as selected method.

But yes, the 1 hour delay will stop you from seeing Proportional stats right away.

Been using the pool since Slush's meltdown, it's working great so far. The statistics ain't working for me though, always says my reward is none for every round. It worked for the first day, then I think I changed from proportional to PPS and the stats stopped working. I've since then changed back to proportional but the stats still don't work. Am I missing something? Smiley

Stats will only show proportional payout #'s, if you're in PPS you won't see anything useful stat wise.  When swapping back, it can take up to 2 hours i've seen before you'll start seeing values in Stats.  In some cases its because you've swapped over mid-block and I think a quirk of the payout system keeps you as PPS for current block, then just the 1 hour delay on stats Tycho has in place.

There is a search function y'know

Oh yea?
Give me the search parameters for future reference, because >how Average speed in last 5 minutes measured< gave no hits but my own - those are the key words so please, tell me how to search for a question like that, or keep your comments to yourself.

How is the "Average speed in last 5 minutes" measured?
There is already an answer in this thread.
This speed is measured by counting your submitted shares and 5 minutes is not enough to average out your speed. Try setting it to 30 mins and see if it will be more consistent.

I ought to admit that looking through 67 pages for an answer is beyond my patience, but I'll try 30 minutes! Smiley

Also, has the live support been taken down? I haven't seen it "online" for two days now, or is my browser just being a bitch?

How is the "Average speed in last 5 minutes" measured?

As far as I can see it takes a sample every now and then, because my miners more or less constantly runs around 370-380 Mhash/s and the site lists me as low as 208 Mhash/s in the history window - why is this?

EDIT: Now the counter itself says 150 Mhash/s when I can see on the miners that they don't even dive that low, stable at speeds mentioned before

Question about this:
"Failure detection threshold (1-3600 minutes)".
Is there any optimal value for it, or how i should choose what to enter in it?
Depends on your hashrate. 40-60 min. recommended for CPU miners, 3 minutes for fast GPU miners. Your results may vary.

Soon there will be an option to send you e-mail warning after crossing this threshold.

"Averaging window for hashrate display (5-30 minutes)"
I've set this to 30minutes AFAIK it's only for getting more accurate number in signature/in My Account page.

I read in the forum that PPS is better for slow hashrates and proportional is  better for higher hashrates but no one gives examples of what is slow and what is fast.
It's because it is subjective opinion, and I'd say it's wrong. The only thing you need to consider is what Tycho says in the description. On average you will get more money if you choose proportional, no matter what your speed is.

My hashrate is 'round 24.4 MH/s (seems the average somtimes reaches up to 'round 30 somtimes, but most of the times i look at the miner proggie it says it's going at 24.4 MH/s), which mode do you suggest for me?
There is a description of both reward modes on the registration page and on each worker's page. Can you please tell me what was unclear for you in those descriptions so I can improve that text ?

Since I'm in a similar boat with about 30MH/s I would say it's confusing because I assume at this slow of a hashrate I wouldn't be submitting any shared blocks fast enough to get any BTC from proportional. I read in the forum that PPS is better for slow hashrates and proportional is  better for higher hashrates but no one gives examples of what is slow and what is fast. If above is true maybe add a recommendation to the description? PPS: recommended for 100MH/s and slower and PROP: recommended for 100MH/s and faster. OR w/e the true/accurate hashrates would be recommended for each.

@Tycho:

Yes, of course. It's like gambling.
I can't afford high end rig, so i follow the flow and stick with proportional no matter what Smiley

It's been now near 12hours and i end this risk run. Even i'm one of the small guys, PPS is worse for me. I should have stick with proportional.
In case anyone else wonders this and hashrate is ~280Mhash/s, stick with proportional, it's better for your rewards even it might seem otherwise.
In the long run Proportional may be 7% better on average, yes.

But you can't test it with just 12 hours because of luck variation.
In the LAST 12 hours Proportional was ~27% better than PPS. But in about the same time yesterday Proportional would be ~15% worse than PPS.

This can be compared to coin flipping. You throw coin two times and both times it falls on "heads" side, so you tell people that they should know that coin always lands on "heads". But in the next time it may be the opposite.
