I give PPS 24h risk run. I don't think it's going to be worse than my current rewards i receive.

It's been now near 12hours and i end this risk run. Even i'm one of the small guys, PPS is worse for me. I should have stick with proportional.
In case anyone else wonders this and hashrate is ~280Mhash/s, stick with proportional, it's better for your rewards even it might seem otherwise.

My account is set to propotional. Today i noticed i only mined 1 btc in 10h. Dont know if its because i've selected "proportional" in my account or if it's because difficulty has risen.
Difficulty is ~40% higher now, it was adjusted tonight

Should i still let it set to "Proportional" or "Payed Per Share"? Which one is better in my current situation? which one will give me more BTC?
There is a description on the registration page and on each worker's page. Can you please tell me what was unclear for you in those descriptions so I can improve that text ?

Hi!

I started mining day 1 of this month, so i'm new to this.
The first day i mined, i got 2.44 btc in 12h, with my 6950 (394 mhash/s).
My account is set to propotional. Today i noticed i only mined 1 btc in 10h. Dont know if its because i've selected "proportional" in my account or if it's because difficulty has risen.
Either way, what i want to know is:
Should i still let it set to "Proportional" or "Payed Per Share"? Which one is better in my current situation? which one will give me more BTC?

Well, I've gone from getting paid 0.06 per block to 0.03-0.04 per block, and despite the high hashrate i don't see that many more blocks, so I am watching over my BTC/24 because currently it has decreased Sad

I would prefer two pools with 300GH/s contrary to one with 600

That is not "per block" it is per round which is usually very short.  It is per block found by deepbit.net however.  Any of the blocks processed during that round could be very short [or solved very quickly by somebody outside of the pool].  Long rounds are simply "bad luck" rounds.

isnt there a limit of 6 blocks per hour?
The Bitcoin network creates and distributes a batch of new bitcoins approximately six times per hour at random to somebody running the software with the "generate coins" option selected.

No, there is no such limit - it says "approximately". Currently the network creates about 9.3 blocks per hour and the next difficulty adjustment will try to lower it to 6.
oh i see thats why difficulty is insane

Your income depends on pool's luck, not the pool's hashrate.
Yesterday we had bad luck, ~20% worse. Today we have ~10% better luck than average. This is what your income depends on.
You get 0.03 per block, but twice as more blocks.

if there is 500 gb/hash of people competing for a clock which is worth 50 btc, not matter how long it takes to finish the block, your still going to get paid the same.
For example, I run a 1.2 gb/hash machine, that means i am 1/500th of deepbit.
which also means i get paid 1/500th for every block. every block i receive .10~(50/500 = .10) so no matter how long a single block takes, a single block is still worth 50 btc.
thak a look here: last night there was a block that took 3 hours to finish. i got paid .10 again, like i would for a block that takes 5 minutes.

maybe pay per share is better?
with more than 500 gb/hash i thought that there wouldnt even be a 3 hour block, but maybe its just once in a while?

The point with the long blocks is the shares u submit and total shares. it's divided. so the more shares other people can submit the less u get

I meant 0.07 and not 0.70 xD
It's very good result.

I think that < 1% is acceptable, and < 0.3% is perfect.

Stale percentage may vary, how much do you get ?
I used to have 0.4-0.7 but since the pool exceeded 400 Gh/s it's been increased to 0.14% Sad
0.14% is much less than 0.4-0.7%

Is it just me, or has the stale percentages gone up and the amount og BTC you get from proportional (because you get less the more people that helps) per day gone down, since the pool rate exceeded 300-400 Gh/s?
You won't get less BTC if pool gains more hashrate.

I have tried the previous version of the GUIMiner and the new, both has increased stale rates compared to before

rr not the case. It shows I clearly submitted shares.
So it shows that you had shares in THAT block and no reward ?
Can you give me UTC date/time of that block or it's total shares number ? And it was Proportional mode ?
You reviewed my logs when I reported it and checked network connectivity from you end as I did from my end and you said it want a problem.  That is the last that I heard.  It is in this forum from sidewalk days back should anybody like to read it.
Sorry, but I'm asking bitjet to check if there was some problem or not.

Sometimes the round ends before you have a chance to submit a share, that's why you see "None." This happens more on shorter rounds.
