If a coin is dying, it means that there is no interest in this coin from investors side and that their development is not improving. In my opinion, such coins should be eliminated from the market and leave space for others.

And the technology side ?

Bitwhite is a coin that showed much promise in 2017 and listed early 2018. I don't know what happened within their team but the project has been abandoned ever since. A coin worth close to a dollar at its all time high now is now basically worthless. Although I hear they are planning to revive it. Happy to see how that pans out

I'll take a look.

I dont want any dying coin to be revived, they are dying because they arent good enough in the first place and reviving them might be a total mistake because im sure no one will want to reconsider such project and invest money on it

Cryptocurrency coins do not just start dying, in many cases developers stop working on their projects, so I do not want to revive dying projects at all
i also think like that, why revive a coin that is dying or dead.
a coin that is dead is difficult to come back to life, if it is alive, the coin will again disappear and die.
this will make more people suffer losses.

so i agree with your opinion not to revive a dying or dead project.

90% of coins are useless, have no tech etc. That is well known and i'd rather not keep re-hashing this, or the pro and cons of revivals. Please scroll up and read previous posts.

916 pages of ANNs  Tongue of which maybe 900 pages are dead coins. I am not offering to revive every shit coin ever made. In fact let m echange the title.

Wondering when this thread turned into an opinion thread.  Roll Eyes

My offer is to do so when asked. If you feel that there is no point, while i fully respect that opinion, kindly start your own thread and head down that rabbit hole. If you have no interest in older coins and only want the latest stuff, this ain't the place.

If they are dying off then it is their own fault. If they are not able to keep the interest of investors to their coin and the trading volume, nothing would really help to revive those coins. Moreover, those coins will free some space for more perspective competitors, which is great for the industry in general.

If you have a coin you think is good and want it revived/ chain fixed let me know in this thread.

Some coins are meant to be dead. We did not realize that in the first instance. All the scam coins are slowly vanishing. Nothing to be revived in my opinion. Its all for good.

Yes true, some coins , especially 1:1 clones are hard to justify keeping alive. Scams will always come in one form or another. First there were basic clones, then people got wise and added a bit of tech , then later they made tokens, then ICOs now dare i say IEOs.

What's the purpose of reviving a dead coin, and how can you revive it, you did not give us full details on ow are you going to do that, what if the coin is on Ethereum platform, but it has no volume and it's not in the market, how can you revive a coin that has no support and no investors interested to buy, let us just leave dead coin dead.

Some coins are *dead* in that there is no active development, they were abandoned by initial devs and noone has taken over etc. On such projects people just wait for pumps. In such a case, if the coin has interesting ideas, actual code i would be interested to look at it and if there is a possibility of expanding, upgrading or extending the technology, i would help do that. Others are dead in that they got an intial large following and the developers failed to deliver on the tech, in such a situation i can look at the proposed tech and see if it is actually feasible, if so i can just keep the chain alive and try during my spare moments to build the tech. There are coins that have large followings but use outdated codebase and do not take advantage of advances in crypto that were made after their creation, such coins could benefit from a source code update. There are way too many reasons to help coins along, hell in some cases people just want to swap to a fresh chain to make syncing faster. A new chain can sync in seconds whereas some coins with an excess of 3 million blocks could take a whole week to sync.

i do not consider ethereum tokens as coins , they are not seperate from ethereum from a tech point of view.

I once participated in a lot of ICOs and I have a large number of tokens in my wallet that are worthless. I would like to revive them all, but this is something from the realm of fantasy.

I can only help with coins at the moment , tokens especially ethereum ones are uninteresting. If you have/know a coin that is struggling without a dev , i could help out.

I believe if you are only understand if that will be so difficult to build its reputation again but that looks so different than me and i just take doge coin as an example about how even a coin that already get off from its developer can still depends its demand and reputation but the fact not all of dying coins are so bad.
I have the opposite opinion with you dude as long as the reputation of the project was not destroyed caused by the scam team and im fine with it.

Yes, ideas can outlive the initial developers.

I'm sure WPP is one of them. WPP is currently only trading at Digifinex and they have been submitted by Coinbene and Huobi Korea and are still applying at Huobi Global.
They are doing very well on the route and on the right track. This Q4 they will re-develop the token and turn it into stablecoin.
This is a great opportunity to buy cheaply.

Me too. Once the trust or faith is gone in that project, it's hard to revive it again. You can make its blockchain work but the point here is that it is just going to be useless because it is not going to attract many buyers and get a decent amount of volume. It's an utter waste of time and people move on to a new project that is better.

I can't help but think that it is precisely that kind of thinking that induced a deluge of useless clones, However i am more interested in tech not market, maybe at a ratio of 8:2 . Some coins introduced new ideas, but were eventually abandoned , i'd like to preserve coins that actually did more than change the name from bitcoin.

Also , many takeovers were done successfully, why tie your hopes to a dev instead of the idea/technology ? Some guys are good at talking up a good game, and others are better at actually getting it done.
