i'm calling BTC fail!

massive downward pitch by the core players.  BTC is not a clear 'mature' project until  2028ish.  Core interest is holding market cap of $10-$30 Billion until then.  Have fun.

to quote a friend, "unless you have at least between 40-100BTC you are never going to make enough profit to change your life"

point is:

BTC is not for the common man, it is already institutionalized.
Sub-$30M, heck, sub $3M projects are where average citizens can prosper.

Big picture, BTC Maximilians, still welcome we fight general central bank junk which has no clear code, and is maintained by high stakes derivative bets, no different than a roulette wheel, oddz are very slim and favor the House.

And B.N. is still here. Lovely!

And . . . 'Vast liabilities are being switched quietly from private banks and investment funds onto the shoulders of taxpayers across southern Europe. It is a variant of the tragic episode in Greece, but this time on a far larger scale, and with systemic global implications.'

Well bloody, 'D'uh!!' Ambrose!! The 'libertarians and contrarians' -- on sites like Zero Hedge and Market Oracle -- figured this out a half a decade ago.

'The first two dangers relate to the rise of anti-EU, nationalist sentiment across the continent, plus the “state of mind of pro-European elites”, which Tusk fears are now too subservient to “populist arguments as well as doubting . . . the fundamental values if liberal democracy”.'

http://mg.co.za/article/2017-02-07-00-eu-faces-tumultuous-2017-nationalism-rise-of-the-right-and-us-russia-china

Gee? Do folks doubt 'the fundamental values [of] liberal democracy [as represented by the EU]'?

Well, the entire Eurozone is completely and utterly bankrupt out the wazoo; but arrived-on-a-comfy-plane-stay-in-a-big-hotel guy suggests 'socioeconomic welfare' -- that's more spending -- will solve the problem, even though it's the social-welfare programmes -- which include immigration policies -- that have created the 'populism' that is the existential threat.

So . . . good luck with that.

EDIT: ' . . . to clarify and explain a few details:

the winkles already bought their bitcoin for their trust YEARS ago.

their ETF is not the actual bitcoin price. but a SHARE price of the COMPANY(trust) the winkles own.

do not confuse the ETF with bitcoin. they are 2 different things.'

No one discussing the Cryptopia bot on the Uno main thread yesterday mentioned divestment. Yes, beware post hoc ergo propter hoc , but Uno's price took respite from its decline -- with continuing high volume -- when I posted on the off-topic thread to the effect that we crash Uno's price to find The Bottom.

Then came yesterday's discussion. (Yay to Cryptopia for their honesty!)

And . . . today we've snapped back to the old pattern: trade back on Bittrex, and 'original' volume.

So . . . let's see if The Great Price-Dwindle sets in again.

'Donald Trump’s trade plans could trash China’s economic growth over the next decade with such a powerful impact that he could prevent the 1.4 billion people in the world’s second-largest economy from joining the elite club of high-income nations . . . '

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2017/02/18/trumps-trade-plans-could-knock-chinas-rise-riches-course/

This is utter twaddle! For eight years, the talking heads have gone on and on about how China is shifting from exporting stuff to consuming it themselves. But at this point, their GDP is down 50% from when the GFC began, when newly-inaugurated President Obama assured us that China was the economic 'tractor' -- the only tractor -- that could pull the global economy from the bog; and that 50% drop is only not a lot more because the Chinese went on a mega-looney debt spree: they're now crankin' out debt at a rate of something like a $Tril a month.

The fact is that China is past its prime, and its self-rescue through domestic middle-class consumption is no more likely than invasion by Martians.

And stay tuned, readers, for lots more It's-Trump's-fault! twaddle as the situation worsens. Anyone know who Donitz was? He was the schmuck who succeeded Hitler (for about three weeks, but got 'downsized' when the tanks bust thru the wall of his bunker . . . ). Well, Trump is the Twenty-First Century Donitz.

Interesting to see B.N. hangs out at Cryptomoms: http://cryptomoms.com/forum/index.php?action=recent

The Dnotes-community thread is the best-managed thread I know of in the crypto space.
