Well, I'd suggest you to start contributing to the Bitcoin Core. It isn't easy and certainly needs a high level of coding skills but you'd learn more in that than helping someone like the above post "Become a manager of my discord chat". The money will come with time and there is no harm in taking small projects but keep learning as your priority. Bitcoin Core is just an example you can pick up any open-source project for instance and dedicate some amount of your time for the betterment of the community.

Don't do the mistake of trying to set aside your classes for cryptocurrency or any single niche.
You say you worked as an consultant? A 17 year old consultant? You might have been exposed to crypto for a long time but what gives you any business credibility that you'd go out and consult people on what to do with their business money?

If it seems like I am being harsh with you then there is reason behind that. For a long time in my early career I was doing the wrong thing and that made me habituated to just one way of working. In cryptocurrency space there is abundance of hype marketing and jobs that in other industries have no relevance. Say for example if you spend you days managing a discord group or a telegram group, what experience do you take away from that as a professional? a kid could do that kind of job, and that is exactly what you are.
Give more importance in skill development at this time of your life rather than going to conferences. Without proper skill you will be nothing. And I wish you listen to what I say and make something of yourself someday.

Nice story there, Dustin. I think if you can do some bit of coding, then participating in open source development is one way to contribute to this world. There are tons of project out there with open source code that I believe you can contribute to.

That being said, I guess you can contact most OP in this thread that is looking for coder/marketer/contributors or something similar. You can also spend your time in Development & Technical discussion as some of the new projects might post their info there. Good luck with increasing your skills.

I started working in the cryptocurrency space freshmen year of high school and just finished this year. I am currently 17, turning 18 in two months. I decided to take time off before I go to college (if I go), and get more experience in the cryptocurrency field because this is the perfect mix of everything I was interested in as a child. And to be realistic, during high school I was way more interested in working in the space than my classes, especially enjoyed going to conferences.

Currently I am working at a cryptocurrency ATM company, and previously worked for a blockchain consultant firm for an early pioneer of the field.

What I am looking for is new opportunities to bring bitcoin adoption to the world and / or new cryptocurrency related experiences. I am open to helping new startups (for free) or help improve existing startups. I can do a little bit of everything (marketing, business development, networking, coding, etc), but definitely not perfect at one particular thing.

This is not me asking for funds of any sort, though not rich, I am already content with having just enough money to get by as a young adult.

Please reach out if you have any opportunities!
