U.K.,France and the U.S. have pulled out of the G8 summit so far. I'm sure more will follow.

And this is how shit usually works. Because of a clash in Ukraine it's possible that some people who don't have a clue where Ukraine is on the map and live 10 000 km from it will be affected.

The situation isn't looking up. None of the other European countries are doing anything aside from talk. If this continues, a serious war might begin in Europe.

Europe is tired of wars , people have killed each other for centuries here , most western counties are terrified of a war close home.

There is still chance for peaceful solution for this hazardous situation but time is running out. Kiev revolutionary leaders must immeditaly tone down their rhetorics, bottle up their extreme nationalists and armed criminal gangs acting as if they were legitimate government forces, and to go back to agreement they signed on February 21st together with German and Polish foreign affairs ministers, but then refused to carry it out.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian army shows clear signs of breakup along the ethnic lines and big humanitarian crises is ongoing with almost 700.000 Ukrainian citizens (mostly ethnic Russians) escaping into the Russia in last month.

They don't have it anymore.

From Wikipedia: "Ukraine has acceded to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Ukraine inherited about 5,000 nuclear weapons when it became independent from the Soviet Union in 1991, making its nuclear arsenal the third-largest in the world.[60] By 1996, Ukraine had voluntarily disposed of all nuclear weapons within its territory, transferring them to Russia."

and by the way: as far as I know, in return Russia promised Ukraine to respect Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Remember, one doesn't build a nuclear weapon and let it sit. It must be maintained on a regular basis at a great expense, ergo if was more profitable to have them dismantled with other countries footing the bill.

My predictions:

1. Putin won't give up and western countries (EU/USA/NATO) will do nothing at all
2. Ukraine will loose Crimea - the whole bi-land will became a Russian federation, controlled by Yanukovych and/or Putin

Next possible scenarios:

3. Military aggression triggered by Ukraine or Russia leading to war
4. Humanitarian disaster.
5. Ukraine refugees flooding Poland
6. Russia taking over Ukraine

Possible, but rather unlikely:

7. World War III

8. North Korea sees an opportunity to test fire a real nuke, claiming it was only a test.

Putin comes from KGB - they are trained in killing people and it's obvious that he doesn't care about human life at all.

IMHO Russia is absolute master when it comes to politics and they are constantly focused on expanding the imperium.
Putin comes from KGB - they are trained in killing people and it's obvious that he doesn't care about human life at all.
He can just do what he wants - we don't have ballsy leaders in the west anymore.

I really doubt that the US will become seriously involved. I'd like to see Ukraine become more independent, but that seems unlikely.

Also, the only hope I see are the United Nations (UN) troops in Ukraine ASAP.

Unfortunately it looks like Putin is much faster and we have piece-of-shit leaders here in the West.
They all are already shitting their pants.
