Because they enjoy playing the thought and excitement of hitting a gambling jackpot and the relationship to their friends. most people rarely to win in gambling. sometimes gambling man relies and more losses than wins.

I think it's more complicated than that - everyone is a bit of #1 and #2, it can depend on current mood and change from session to session. Some people can take wild rides that are common for addicts, but then stop for long time or gamble moderately, and then start betting wildly again. Others may only gamble for fun most of the time, but then make some surprisingly crazy bets.
Well there are certainly people that fit purely in either 1 or 2, but yes a lot of people blur that line, especially if they gamble relatively frequently.

Well, you need to remember that we are just human beings, nobody is perfect what means that you cannot avoid doing some mistakes through your lifetime.

Gambling is something cruel for us in my opinion, because it makes us think that we are able to increase our wealth without any effort: but this is just a simple fallacy, the house edge will rip you off on long term every single time, if you won't stop in a good moment.

Yeah i feel you mate me too the thing that i don't play more lessen in gambling is because i don't have some money to play for it even just a small but sometimes there's a time that i would play gambling but its just a limited because i sincere focus all my time in my family i don't want to afraid of them just being addicted in gambling and eating all my time just playing of it. So definitely i limited now my time playing gambling (once in a time only) now am just playing gambling because i satisfied of what will happened to me if i will addicted in gambling and not giving my time in my family

I am addicted but I still have control over myself. Sometimes it is easy to control ourselves when we only play for fun however when we play for profit than it will be hard. I do still coming back everytime I lose, not because I am greedy and want to get profit or what I have lost but I came back to play

You're right that's why gambling so addictive even when we are losing so much money we still want to play hoping that we get back our capital. When you play gambling you must know how to handle your emotions too
