The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring uᴉoɔʇᴉq to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling moondollars. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?

I have been looking at Rimbit  instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.

Time will show how long moondollars survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

Bitcoin will live forever. It's just a fact of life. Although if the end of the world comes, then nothing would exist. But the price of cryptocurrency will only grow.

UNLESS we have a nuclear world war three and the internet and computers die, I don't see bitcoin dying anytime soon as it was the pioneer for digital currencies in general.  I think we have a long way to go before bitcoin becomes obsolete as a currency, it is just beginning to take hold now.

And maybe it's worth to use alternative sources of energy, and then just a little increase profitability.

Bitcoins going to die if all bitcoin users stop using bitcoin anymore. Bitcoin become dead and the price will dropped so hard, because no transaction happened on bitcoin.

This would  be the main thing  in able for  bitcoin to die, and its true that if  no one   would use or buy bitcoin  then it would surely die since its price would  surely dump to the  bottom but as  of  todays  state of bitcoin it would  impossible  to die these days because   there are lots  of users and  investors are engage into it.

We will more people and more companies in future that will start adopting bitcoins which will take price to next level so I think bitcoin has a great future ahead and won't die so easily.

i am sure that bitcoin will never die because bitcoin is going to very stronger day by day and increasing its price too much faster than other currency and a huge number of people adopting bitcoin and then hold it for high price because it will get a big profit in the future.

Why bitcoin isn't going to die? Because many persons have invested millions and the darkweb is more vivid than ever nowadays with dark markets popping out almost everyday, number of BTC transactions there is increasing everyday, so no Bitcoin isn't going to die in at least 10-20 years but for me it will never die.
i hope so.. because I do not know what to do if bitcoin going to die..  Cry

I don't see the death of Bitcoin unless its blockchain is been hacked

If that is the case, the bitcoin will not die as the cryptography technology used by the bitcoin is very strong.

bitcoin will never die. bitcoin can last for a long time. I am sure because bitcoin can grow even faster.
bitcoin will become a financial payment media world.

Indeed bitcoin will not die that fast you mean because anything that lives can die out.
I hope it doesn't happen but with too much bad news and or competition then it can happen else it won't though.

Hard telling. Once the bigger miners die off and only a few big ones run the show then id be worried. The network will lose its security and bitcoin will become centralized once its led by 1 mining group.

People also invest in stocks etc.....and some loose big time. The return from Bitcoin mining will so soon (if not already) become so small that you don't want to bother. Try set up such a miner yourself and run it in a western country. The electricity cost will quickly drain your pocket.....so basically it's mainly run in third world countries like China.....do you trust China?

The darkweb is a disgrace for argumenting for Bitcoins, but if you do so you could argue that the Darkweb could easily shift to another currency like Rimbits.

Oh...by the way they had some years ago a nice totally fake hardware you could preorder...I was stupid enough to do so....I never saw my Bitcoins again.... Hong Kong company by the way
Bitcoins are not going to die becuase therea are Always people who love to deal with bitcoins you know there are so many people just playing with it and if you want to make money with it start tradung with the coins.

Its impossible that bitcoin will be die since i collecting bitcoin and do a business with bitcoin since 2013 and until now bitcoin is alive and active and the price is different from the past to present price right now so it means more price increase will come for bitcoin.

I don't know if it will die, but a lot of bitcoins will eventually disappear. Already there are probaly a couple of million locked in wallets that passwords have been lost, and will never see the light of day again. Also, probably some people drop dead without leaving next of kin info about their bitcoins. I wonder how many bitcoins will be out of the system forever by the time all 21 million are mined?
People or member here who are saying that bitcoin is dead its just an competitors they are just an altcoin that can attract people to convert to altcoin instead of staying in bitcoin..

I remember that people said the bitcoin was dead, but it is still very healthy. That could be applied to litecoin as well.

Yeah and its just a joke at all .! they are just bashers! Theyy dont know what is the happenings about the bitcoin at all. They are also just threatening the users of it and i dont know why  they are saying at . -_-

It is not a matter of when bitcoin is going to die but how because it's not time related. For bitcoin to die there has to be something that happens.
And we can't foresee the future so we should just hope for the best to keep btc strong.
