I don't think Bitcoin can survive more than 20 years as a valuable altcoin, because technology is quickly advancing and even ten years are enough to develop better technologies, leaving behind the previous advances. Perhaps in 20 years bitcoin still will survive as an historic but updated technology, stored by romantic bitcoiners using it to exchange coupons or play video games.

I am pretty sure and you will see that in 20 years bitcoin will be a global currency everyone will have an ATM card for it and will have their phone wallets and every store will have a machine like ATM, and at there they will accept bitcoin for their products which they will sell, and we will see bitcoin as a global currency.
hope it will be so. but it is very difficult to give a time frame for it. there is no doubt that a time will come when all the people will be using bitcoin instead of fiat currency, but giving a time frame for it is not so easy, i think it will take generation when most of the people will be using bitcoin for buying and selling in their local markets.

The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring uᴉoɔʇᴉq to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling moondollars. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?

I have been looking at Rimbit  instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.

Time will show how long moondollars survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

Bitcoin will not die very soon. Even is people will not mine bitcoins it still exist and peoples make transactions with it

Bitcoin dying? That means encryption being insecure or miners creating a 51% attack on the network, the former being, in the current state of technology, impossible while the latter is probable but miners won't do such a freak show. In terms of price, I don't think that alone would be a reason for bitcoin "dying".

I think bitcoin was too young to die. 20 years from now it will be a golden age for bitcoin. I'm sure even in 100 years although bitcoin will still survive. the key is in the user's own
yeah bitcoin just growing but I am not sure bitcoin can survive in 100 years, perhaps at that time the technology is already highly sophisticated.

to me bitcoin is not going to die. it is a universal currency and its value is increasing day by day, and its popularity is also increasing regularly. therefore it is wrong to say that bitcoin is going to die.

Yes i am also very confident with that, when everyone wants things to be easy and bitcoin can begin to take the role as a currency which can carry wherever you go.

At some point in the future, bitcoin will reach it's limit, which means there will be no more bitcoin to get, which means that everything will be frozen.

What limit are you talking about? Also, nothing will be frozen when all coins have been mined. Miners will then get their rewards solely from transaction fees. Everything else will function as it is doing right now, very well.

Yes, as I have said it is undoubted that bitcoin still will survive in twenty years, but those days we will watch the bitcoin in similar way as we see the vinyl records these days: They have an endearing value, but merely symbolic.

i think people do not know the fix time is what 20 years or more or less that when bitcoin going to die , but i am sure that bitcoin will be survive always because bitcoin are getting too much popular and stronger and people adopting bitcoin in huge number so bitcoin will be never die.

You are right, because of the popularity which I am seeing and the adoption rate especially in this year, we can say that now we should have to forget that bitcoin will die , it will now be a regular currency and will survive till the end of the world.
