Bitcoins will be dead if the price of bitcoin dropped to $1 for each bitcoin and people will not use bitcoin anymore and bitcoin become dead.

and when the price of bitcoin will fall to $1? I do not think it will happen. bitcoin will continue to live for at least until bitcoin depleted mined until 2140

As a old member of this forum,  you might see many dips and pumps in price.  So you need to get expertise in price speculation. Then bitcoin will not die forever because this is future currency and world gonna adopt this only as money.

no effect, although as a member of the old in this forum and do not need to be an expert to price speculation. because the price itself is difficult to predict.

You are right, even the owner would not have  the control of bitcoins price and even cant predict  because   there are already lot of big investors on bitcoin which  also causes the bitcoins price to move. No one could predict the bitcoins price because  you dont know when those coins to be trade on huge volumes.

Yeah no one can predict the future of bitcoin as its impossible to do, no one knows what exactly will happend  and what will be the price in future or how long bitcoin will be alive.

bitcoin will die when black market will find easier way to pay, and when there will be no buyers or sellers, but that won't happen anytime soon for sure as people use bitcoins a lot

Bitcoin will never die until Internet dies, as now it has become the main stream of online payment. and more and more it is getting used for so many online stores, so in coming days it will only boom.

Nope, Bitcoin isn't, by far not. Not sure how you come up with this. At this point a big part of the people in Bitcoin are still reluctant to actually start spending their coins. As long as that doesn't change, there is no major role for Bitcoin when it comes to doing payments.

Agreed but I think there are many people who are using bitcoins for money transfers as its very cheaper in compare to other payment methods, and the usage is increasing now.

Maybe bitcoin die if people stop mine bitcoin and all traders stop buying ang selling bitcoin. Thats the time maybe die or gone. But if still miners and traders bitcoin will never die or stop it. Maybe it can be down but die its hard.
Even if all miners stop mining for some time than when atleast one miner came up can make bitcoin to rebirth so bitcoin can't die it can stop generating or working for some time. Which i think is almost impossible.

The mining is becoming too expensive and none profitable. I think that will bring uᴉoɔʇᴉq to an end. Another problems is that there is only a few miners left controlled by a few making them controlling moondollars. It's no longer the currency of the people but a currency of the few rich companies that runs the show.....but for how long can the continue?

I have been looking at Rimbit  instead since it is premined and therefore don't need the middleman with the expensive hardware for transaction validation. Instead the validation is done by the wallet's running on peoples computers. As I see it it's a currency for the people and it will stay that way. Sadly it's still fairly unknown.

Time will show how long moondollars survive but my guess is not more than 3 years......please challenge that statement with serious arguments.

This is another "bitcoin is dying, here`s the alternative" thread. Grin

Why do you care about mining OP?Sooner or later btc mining will stop.

This is part of the whole bitcoin concept.

Bitcoin can day next week or maybe after 10 years.Nobody knows.

yeah bitcoin is still not a mainstream online payment option, bitcoin is still growing up and i guess in the future it'll be mainstream but not now, as i can see honestly bitcoin still becoming an additional payment option to get people who just  involved into bitcoin getting interested and want to pay there or even become a loyal client

I think that btc does not die soon. It's possible that the price will drop or an alternate digital currency will overtake it. But it will struggle for existence.

Mining is never expensive and non-profitable unless you are living in a place where electricity is too expensive because there are people still mining bitcoins in places where they earn profits after paying electric bills with the bitcoins mined, so that is really not the case right now, and even if a lot of people stop mining that wont bring bitcoin to an end because the existing bitcoins are always in circulation so that trend will continue i guess.
Actually, if there are no more miners, then bitcoin will come to an end because transactions will not be confirmed or processed anymore. Miners are the one processing that confirmation. And even if mining is controlled by a few giant miners, I do not think it would end bitcoin either. After a few more halving, the reward would be lesser. And bitcoin will be spread out to many users.

I think it will not happen, because the mining will always confirm all transactions that are there and I am sure that all mines will not stop. because they still would still benefit from the transaction, i.e. from a FEE charged
