Oh I didn't even realize it wasn't to the POS point. I thought 5 days was like 2 days ago but I didn't notice it was based on block. I guess I could help mine it.

the ninja-launch and instamine attempted cover-up

There was no "insta mine", this coin launched with a pool, and first coins went to a pool address split among many people.  You have 1 star by your name and it's easy to see why from your posts.  Half or more coins out there are launched without even having a pool and one guy just takes like the first 1000 blocks or something.  Perfect example is a new PoS coin called Dreamcoin.  It launched without having a pool at all and the first 115 blocks went straight to the developer, not a pool like in Shibecoin.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6602097

I did some more research on Dreamcoin and discovered the developer has already launched about 5 coins this year alone such as Hashcoin, Timecoin, Matrixcoin, etc.  His last coin launch was even in April.  He's basically just flooding the market with coins.  I researched his claim of having Zerocoin on the coin, it's not implemented at all.  It's a serial clone maker just typing random stuff.

This Shibecoin is about 100x less shady that most other coins out there.  If you hadn't started mining 2 days ago you would know this.

There's also 5 people in the freenode channels of all those other new coins, and 300 in the #shibecoin one.

Is there an easy way to see if you are staking?

I don't think it will stake until we get to block 6300
