As an early DEM investor and supporter, I suggest to transform DEM to the NXT Monetary System that is going to be released in two days. It is a great chance to get access to a bigger user base and to get more attention for the coin. Further it would be part of a strong and secure network.

hello DEM-community. Does DEM want to implement auxpow for merge mining with Unobtanium for more profitable mining (and better networks) of both coins?
Discussion is ongoing in the Uno-thread too. Let us know what you think.

Yes, the staking works. But the wallet displays a wrong weight and a wrong time. We will fix it in the next update
The problem is, to many old CoinBlocks lie around to stake all in the next few days.

Yes, now we get to compete for both POS and POW blocks  Smiley

Maybe i found a bug: if a transaction is confirmed before the hardfork, that coin still need 1 year min age.

Hello, I've had my wallet open for staking since 11/12, with the new wallet, with coins going back to 1/14.  I haven't seen any minting, and wallet says expected time to earn a reward is 0 seconds.  It is unlocked.

Thanks!

I had the wallet open at 11/12 also, but didn't get anything for many days so I shut it down.  I started it up this morning and unlocked it with the “walletpassphrase” command in the debug window and it has minted three blocks so far: walletpassphrase 999999.  I don't think the time to earn reward or network weight is correct, mine says 0 seconds too.

I can't get the menu or the debug window back up right now, I have a bunch of qt wallets running and they seem to somewhat conflict with each other.  I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, anyone else notice this? The last wallet loaded puts its icon on top of all the others and prevents the other wallets for being accessed.  I'd shut it down and restart it but who wants to do that after finally minting coins after a year?  Wink

Thanks for the reply LightSplasher. Wallet Help > About eMark says "eMark version v1.1.0.0-oro"

I knew about the hard fork and downloaded the wallet from their website.

I then realised it was the old version of the wallet so came back here and downloaded it from Github using the link on page 1.

After deleting all but the wallet.dat file 24 hours ago the wallet now says "~23898 blocks remaining"

The blocks remaining was going down but has been at 23898 since last night.

I've tried looking at the debug.log file but it is 1,963,432 kb!!!

Not sure what to do now?

Short of deleting the wallet.dat file I've removed all the old wallet files?

I've had troubles like this on other wallets. There maybe some nodes working on the previous version of the wallet that are causes troubles for you getting the right chain.  You can try using “connect” instead of “addnode” in your config file to force the wallet to download from peers you think are on the right chain.  I would not permanently run using “connect” though partially for a PoS coin.  Just trying it over again might work too.

Another possibility is that maybe there is some problem with the wallet file.  You could try downloading the chain with the wallet.dat file stored temporarily somewhere else.  Once you get things synced up correctly you could shut down the wallet, restore the wallet.dat file and see if things are working right.  If the wallet.dat is causing you issues you can also try things like saving out the private keys and reloading them into a new wallet file or running repair commands.  Just please remember to keep good backups of wallet.dat.  These are just my best guesses.  Best of luck to you!

I tried deleting the DEM database and all other files in the %AppData% folder except the wallet.dat file and tried to download the whole lot again.

When trying to use the wallet before it stuck with around 1600 blocks, this time is has stalled on "23691 blocks remaining"?

I noticed on my i7 CPU peaked at around 35%, at the same time the wallet would also appear to freeze.

With no wallet working I need to pull all miners away from DEM. No point mining it if you can't get it in your wallet or trade it on an exchange Sad

Ach du meiner leibe!   Smiley I just started up the wallet unlocked it and minted two blocks in a row!  After waiting a year it is nice to see; the wallet is working fine.  There was a hard fork so you might check to be sure that you are using version v1.1.0.0-oro.  I'm showing current blocks at 287029.

same problem, 1.1 wallet is hogging cpu and not syncing even with 8 active connections. Also, DEM supernova is giving me minuscule payouts for the past 7 days and have had to switch pools.
