Call me crazy, but I have to say I believe AK in this and that he's not dmf or to4d, whatever.

-Gambling hundreds of coins at a time, I would want to be using TOR as well; because- fuck taxes & gov. interference & shit.
-Of course a whale (who is statistically bound to lose over time with House Edge) is given special treatments in forms of withdraws straight from the cold wallet. You want to keep him happy so he comes back and loses it all next time.
-I've never seen AK even mention anything remotely close to coding knowledge (I know that doesn't necessarily mean shit, but still)
-I have noticed some newer accounts -and other users who have already been accused of being dmf/to4d- lobbying some of these accusations at AK. The real thief could very well be launching accusations and pitchforks via shill accounts, to draw the heat away from them.

I don't have a perfect track record at calling the scams when I see them, but I'm not bad- and I just don't feel like this is the real culprit here at all. Early adopter + the fact that 'dice' gambling is addictive as fuck = somebody with a lot of coins who ends up winning big, being able to play with a large bag he's holding, but eventually continues, busts, and cannot chase/recover from such heavy losses anymore.
Anyways- I'm typing up this on my phone so by the time I post it I'm sure there will be 3+ more pages of angry mobs, but if I can see Definitive proof- beyond a reason of a doubt, then I will eat my words and hang up my hat.

You forgot to post the message when Dean came to your defence so you would gamble there again.

These appear to be some ip addresses used by dmf:

66.223.177.116
206.174.121.150
54.184.173.221

You sure about that?  At least one of those is in my home town...

Do you ever run an exit node for TOR?

Yeah I occasionally run a tor relay/exit node.  I know a few other people that do up here too...

The Tor node has only been up for 2 days (https://atlas.torproject.org/#details/12DCC36E626A235ED8EE0D3527405006A21BAC0E). So it was made the day after this reply.

Sounds about right, IP addresses up here change periodically.

So, what are the other IP addresses that have been used to run your exit node?

How would I know that?  Whatever my current IP is would be the one of my exit node.

So here is what I gather.
dice.ninja decides to use AK's IP who happens to be the highroller on other sites.
dice.ninja and dmf have been using the same IP.
4 months back on JD they used the same IP...and now, they used the same IP on moneypot as well. Whenever AK had an IP change so did dmf
Just when AK loses big on PD is the time when dice.ninja shuts down.
And what the guy above me pointed out.
All looks too good to be a coincidence.

And now it shows the exit node only been up for two days...

ive read countless scam threads over on the 2p2 and the fact is criminals are just always fucking idiots. every single time. an elaborate cover-up tor node exit matching scheme is just beyond the realm of real life. the simple criminal's story never adds up with their increasing levels of bullshit and complexity and whatever is likely to have happened is always the correct story.

p.s. doog while you leaving may not have been best for honest peeps, you did get stir up some fun drama

Can someone PM me the IP address(es) in question - and I can do some research on our side?

I don't want to get too publicly involved until it's confirmed that he's 100% guilty.

He actually won 25 BTC from peerbet.

since someone has decided to go public:

akcoin and dmf shared the same ip address, confirmed by the administrators of moneypot and just-dice.
dooglus has not publically said so, but no doubt will soon

also akcoin funded his gambling sprees to the deposit addresses of several dice sites by sending directly from dice ninja's 1ninja address.

if you analyze the ninja cold wallet address graph espringe made ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9177067 ), the funds diverge from the reported bankroll total in September.

this coincides with akcoin starting to gamble really big on other dice sites, until finally going bust and losing 1200+ btc to primedice/stunna

there will probably be no more refunds, because stunna has your money now

degens goin degen. this makes sense with the graph. i know he also played on peerbet, maybe cbtc tim can interject as well.

need to match it with the ip addresses on file though

He did say his IP was a TOR EXIT NODE " 24.237.33.231 "

231-33-237-24.gci.net [24.237.33.231]
http://torstatus.blutmagie.de/

I was going by this:
These is the date, and ip address that I am 100% certain dmf was using:

August 2  -- 206.174.121.150
August 4  -- 206.174.121.150
August 14  -- 66.223.177.52
August 24 -- 66.223.177.52

and this

The real identity of DMF is Joe Mattie, aka AKCoinDiggger. Based on his sloppiness not covering his ip addresses on multiple sites, and funding gambling accounts directly from cold storage, I believe that he always had intentions of operating a legitimate site and only planned on borrowed investor money to recover personal loses. When things went south, he didn't want to run an insolvent site and to protect people against further loses he made the site dark.

The whole thing appears to be a rather unfortunate story, and I think we should reserve judgment and pitchforks until we hear Joe's side. I know many people would not follow with me, but if you Joe were to create a list of people and amounts owed -- and offer some sort of repayment plan -- I would give a re-opened dice.ninja a second chance. In this arrangement I would expect the roll-server and cold-storage to be under dooglus's control. I think you had a real passion and talent and it's sad to see how things have ended up for you, and your investors.

Thanks,
Eric

Groan. Nope.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they sent a few of my withdrawals directly from their cold wallet.  I requested a withdrawal, and they sent it however they wanted to, I have no control over that.

Also, I run a TOR exit node.  It's pretty trivial to set up tor to connect through a specific node if you're so inclined.  It's more likely that they (or you) are framing me because they/you hope I'm someone who can afford to cover the site's losses.

I haven't used TOR in a while so I'm not sure if you can choose a specific exit node or not, but it's very clear that is not the normal way to use it. Normally you are just given a random exit node.

Besides what are the odds of ninja.dicedice.ninja using your TOR node by chance over and over again. Come on....

By chance? Pretty damned low.  Intentionally, makes more sense to me, especially if you were planning on setting me up like this.  I have a very fast internet connection (250Mb down/10Mb up) and wouldn't even notice the extra traffic.

My current IP is 24.237.33.231

Feel free to check that it's in fact a TOR exit node.

How would he know you run a TOR node with that IP?

I discovered (and played on) JPCDice right after they launched.  This is where I first grew acquainted with DMF and T04D.  They could have very easily port scanned me, as I connected to their site frequently.

So, in order to run a long con DMF port scanned you and luckily found a you were ran a TOR exit node and used it for months in order to have someone come up with this and blame it on you?

That doesn't strike me as believable. Now, I'm not saying you did it because I have no way of knowing this. But this just sounds too outlandish.

Yeah it sounds pretty crazy doesn't it?  We've been discussing this on the prcdice chat for DAYS now though.  When you connect directly though a tor exit node, you lost a lot of the anonymity that tor usually provides (because it's now only a single hop, instead of a number of random ones).

I've been digging through logs on my main two computers for days now, and haven't found anything yet.

It would have been helpful if you guys had come to me with those logs/timestamps so I could have directed my search a little better before going all cloak-and-dagger and throwing around wild accusations, though.

the node owner could easily check the real ip that way

I doubt you can do that on an EXIT node. Not that it matters here anyway.

this is infact currently a TOR exit node, and in the same providers ip range as the other two ip's. as for the theory that dmf has used this ip to cover himself, I have no idea why he would do that. the node owner could easily check the real ip that way, so it's not the best idea if you want to stay anonymous. i think it's best to use a new node every time you connect.

but to be honest, i have no idea what to believe and what not anymore Tongue
