Bittrex Error
Code:
Warning: The network does not appear to fully agree! Some miners appear to be experiencing issues"

So, what do you think? Are we going to come to the conclusion in the end that this is normal and desirable program behavior that gives us early warning alerts as to the possibility of a fork (a just in case type of thing, even if it isn't even remotely likely at all) and we just need to be patient, automatically cancel payments for a couple of minutes, and then move on? That's a lot better than the alternative that the coding prevents against, isn't it?

And if BTC still hasn't come up with an improved, even better, whiter, faster, bigger, beyond all worldly expectations that suspend the basic laws of physics . . .

I'd be requesting all kinds of data from Bittrex, and doing my best not to let them distract me too much from all the more important things I have on my agenda.  Wink

HR,

Thanks for the feedback! It does appear something in their internal system is flagging that warning and automatically shutting the wallet down. It also appears their block chain database might be corrupted. If they could re-download & re-index the DigiByte blockchain the issue should be resolved as this issue is isolated.

We have been working closely with native Chinese speakers and we have arrived at the name of "极特币' for DigiByte! We also have started porting updates to v3.0.2 as well as the translation. Any feedback on the name is much appreciated!

We also have created a new build environment that will allow us to build all three OS binaries simultaneously.

v3.0.2 code: https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProject/tree/3.0.2

We ask that when people encounter an error please add it to the issue que here on github:https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProject/issues

Hey guys, the Bittrex issue is a Bittrex issue. It is an isolated error and it also seems to be intermittent. Let's step back and be rational about this. Does anyone not know just how difficult it is to troubleshoot an intermittent error? Have we forgotten about that? Or are we just jumping to the gun because it's Bittrex?

What's more is that it is an isolated issue that only Bittrex is reporting. That is to say, not only is it intermittent, but it's isolated, and it might even be an environmental issue for all we know!

I'll add insult to injury here: do we not know how hard it is to do third party troubleshooting for someone else? With remote desktop, telephone support, instant messaging?

Any other end user with similar issues with anyone else's software, from Microsoft to Apple, would have been instructed on how to troubleshoot environmental, intermittent and isolated issues, and if they weren't able to do it on their own, or hire someone to do it, and they kept being a pest, they would have been subtly encouraged to move to a competitor's product.

IMO, it is ludicrous to blame DigiByte for one user's environmental, intermittent and isolated issues, even if it is a major exchange.

It's simple, it's only happening to Bittex, and the only info they have provided is one little error message (that I am aware of). No data logs, no error logs, nothing.

And some particular people are ready to eat DigiByte alive for that? When it should be the exact opposite? It makes me wonder.

-------------------------------o-------------------------------

With regards to acting faster and doing more work, it's not just price, it's everything related to Digibyte. DigiByte has said that price is not a driving force behind decision making, and I, for one, agree with that policy. However, it's not price that is being referred to here. Once again I quote halinyo, but this time something more specific that goes to the heart of the matter with my emphasis added:

But something is obvious that DGB is not where it should be, cannot be worse...... Needs more marketing..... youtube and twitter, facebook accounts should be used to do some marketing... making professional videos, explaining even very basic things of DGB and crypto will be great contribution....

DGB deserves better... I dont know what DigiByte, Jared is planning in the near future... but we have to do more work and should act faster than we have done previously... coz crypto is moving very fast and we have to adopt and develop stuff that will help/contribute to the crypto world...

There are many alternative crypto-currencies out there and crypto is very competitive... Lots of competitors...  we have to act faster so that people can check DGB at the very first step.... That is a strategy to take people's attention....

Holy smokes Batman, we've got our algo change, we've got DGB back on the profitability map, and with DGB now back in the spotlight, are we going to let it die on stage because no-one bothered to promote it?

Technically, we're set, for the foreseeable future. Promotion is what is needed now, and not to get price up, but to establish a widely distributed user base and make DigiByte a household term.

Priority #1: We've got to get the word out!

This message appears on my P2pools (Scrypt and Qubit) some times during 5-10 minutes but no problem for miners or mining.
I haven't investigate since there is no consequences.

Bittrex wallet still looks disabled.

Let's see what happens.

Bittrex looks good. The volume has exceeded the requirement to not get delisted. Have you folks been using it?

YC

looks ok now

This is very frustrating for us. No other exchange is reporting any issues. We have not been experiencing this issue on any of our servers. We are still working to isolate why this happening. Does anyone have any specifics thoughts on this?

Also, we would like to announce a bug bounty for code solutions! If you have a solution to some of the problems we are seeing with the DigiByte we would like to send you some DigiBytes! Please PM us with your details!

The more people we can get on this the quicker we can roll out an update!

Known Issues:
Bittrex Error

Mining Pool RPC Send to Many

Coinmaturity Issue

As stated before, the wallets work, but we are definitely planning an update with all these fixes.

Appreciate your frustration and concerns. Let's see what we can do to get everything updated.

I think some people here are disrespecting the serious business some exchanges are trying to run.
As a coin, you can not permit yourself to be disfunctional for over 4 weeks on any serious exchange.
A low price is not a problem, and most of us are not complaining about that.
The dev team is responsible for a functioning coin. Not the community.
And overnight is 2 days, not 32.

Sorry, not disrespecting any exchange,  Keeping everything running is hard enough but you cant expect from the digibyte team they shake a wallet update right out of there sleeves.
They tryed to fixe the problem with everything they could right now.
Cryptsy & cex.io are not having problems right now i gues, so that would be 2 great places to go and buy.

Digibyte did a update couple of days ago that they are getting people on board. some of them are outside the crypto world and they need to learn them allot, that takes time.

"As for the wallet, we are currently working to hire some very experienced C++ developers to assist us in taking things to the next level. We have been primarily focusing on those two things these last few days so we have not done as much work on the wallet as we had hoped. As it stands the wallet is functional and no other exchange but BitTrex has reported an issue. The problem is fixed simply by running "digibyted -reindex."  This also happens  occasionally with Bitcoin wallets on a server."

Nothing will happen overnight, especially dealing with technology. I know for most folks 9 months feels like an eternity, but that is the nature of the industry we are in. The cycles of people buying and selling for quick margins will never go away. We are talking about 18 satoshi now and it will happen at other levels as well. I would ask each of you that want the price to rise up, what can you do to help facilitate that? Telling everyone the price is low doesn't provide any value or new information.

Just my thoughts.

YC

The problem fix is within the new update.
There are some more updates including and that why it's taking longer.
Cant update a wallet every week.

Better to do all in one update.
Digibyte will not exit, making business takes time to do it good and legit. Don't rush it with errors!
