I received my 4 units a few days ago.  Thank you.

I had trouble getting it to work with cgminer right away. So I was using BitMinter for a few days at first.

The default Windows cgminer builds appear to require OpenCL.dll installed on the system.  I built from source without that dependency, but still couldn't get it to work.  It appears that for com ports above 9, you have to list them in the arguments as  -S \\.\comXX. instead of -S comXX. This was in the README.  I should have read it more closely at the beginning.  It's working fine now on my Windows desktop.

Cgminer is much less resource intensive than BitMinter, which ran under Java.  I also have an Asus RT-N16 router with TomatoUSB firmware on it with Optware installed.  I've read about people running cgminer under OpenWrt.  Anyone know how to get cgminer running under Tomato?

Are you repeating the -S?

no degradation
...
cgminer --icarus-timing long -S /dev/ttyUSB0

Will work for the first one (I can see the light and it start hashing away.)

cgminer --icarus-timing long -S /dev/ttyUSB1

Works for the second one... How can I get them to both mine together?

Did you try:

cgminer --icarus-timing long -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1

?

Ok guys I thought I had this under control but I can only get one of my lancelots mining at a time.  I can get them mining on /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 but not both at the same time.  I know I am missing something very obvious in cgminer.  Both of them work well and I was pumped to get them set up, frustrated only mining with one though.

D

edit:

So:

cgminer --icarus-timing long -S /dev/ttyUSB0

Will work for the first one (I can see the light and it start hashing away.)

cgminer --icarus-timing long -S /dev/ttyUSB1

Works for the second one... How can I get them to both mine together?

Good luck to all of those who paid. I don't doubt you'll get your boards eventually, but the way the business side of things is being taken care of makes little to no sense. Their operation strategy didn't sit well with myself and the group purchase members so I cancelled the 163 units we were planning to order.

We take great pride in the way we conduct business. Please let us know why and how we've failed you and we'll try to address your issue. It's a pity that you've canceled 163 units, we're just finishing 50pcs and starting to make 225pcs (ready by early next week).

Regards!

To answer your question:

Just a quick update. We're sending everybody who've placed orders and have not yet paid this message. We think it is the fairest thing to do right now. We welcome useful suggestions.

We have an update for your order:

We will have in stock 50 x Lancelot devices on Friday but this is not enough to complete all our backlog. For this reason you might not get the order in time.

You can now pay your order but if you do so you agree to the following conditions:

We will ship the orders on first paid, first shipped basis.

If we've sold all the above stock and you have not paid by then, we will put your order status back on "Backordered"
If your payment arrives after we've sold this stock you can ask for a refund immediatelly (you will cover all the refund or exchange fees where aplicable - none for Bitcoin) or you can let us know by next Monday how long you are willing to wait for your order to be shipped. Based on this information we will organize our parts order to ensure that we can fulfill your order.
Once you've commited to a shipping date, and we've accepted it, your refund will be available only after that date if we fail to ship it.
Although we accept escrow payments we will favorize all other payment methods but escrow. This means that if you choose to pay with bitcoin escrow, you will only receive your order once we've cleared our backlog of all other orders paid through different payment methods.
Your order is on hold as we are waiting for the payment.

This doesn't seem shady to anyone? Nevermind, what we said before about escrow services, please pay us now to receive your order eventually. When, we can't tell you, but we'll let you know.

As the organizer of a 163 unit order, paying customers would constantly bump our large order to the end of the line because we are requesting escrow service. Receiving inadequate stock of xilinx units as infrequent as 50 at a time with no certain time line for more, guarantees never being able to supply the units in a timely manner. Paying orders would stack up ahead of us faster than they can send them out the door due to inadequate stock of xilinx units. Combine those two factors and we'd end up waiting at absolute minimum a month to receive units and possibly longer.

You also refused to answer my question about escrow and stated that it would be cheaper to fly to China and pay for the boards with cash in person (RED FLAG) than to ship them and pay customs. I'm currently in the process of importing 88 FPGA boards from China through another company that has operated up to this point without issue and is accepting escrow services.

I don't want to ruin anyone's parade or cause issues. The only reason I'm passing this information along is to inform buyers of the history of the seller. Everyone should do their due diligence in informing themselves who they choose to do business with. Up to this point they have been delivering boards so this is one hundred percent for you to decide on. Perhaps blackarrow could elaborate on this:

The thing is your arguments vs delivered things, actually i would believe in blackarrow cause things seems pretty good. I dunno where did u search that name. what we see is pictures and received items.

As I said it is up to you who you choose to do business with. My personally dealings did not work out hence the reason the members of the group purchase and I agreed to cancel our order for 163 boards. After I cancelled the group purchase I started doing research. All I did was lookup the names of the associated companies and the people running them with google. Obviously, someone involved in the company is Alexandru Ion Sovu who's home was raided in 2003 for international credit card fraud and manufacturing false credit cards. His family members and associates were arrested, but he was out of the country avoiding prison time. Now, there is a company called CardReaderFactory that manufacturers credit card skimmers and is associated with the person named above. Do I think someone who was raided for credit card fraud and manufacturing phony credit cards and is now in business manufacturing credit card skimmers is a stretch? No, I don't.

It appears at this point they are delivering the products they said they would and I hope it goes smoothly for everyone involved. My dealings with CardReaderFactory and Blackarrow did not make me feel secure in sending them funding for 163 boards.

Again, perhaps Blackarrow could elaborate on who he is, if they are not the same person who Alexandru Ion Sovu is, and how he fits into the company.

On my unit a red HOT LED is on all the time when it's running. Heat sink is cool (not even lukewarm), so I wonder what exactly it means. Does anyone know?

2 out of my 10 units do this. It goes on as soon as the unit is powered on and never goes off. The other units (in the same stack, with the same cooling, etc) -- it never goes on. I just ignore it, they haven't had any issues.

same here on 2 of 14 units - no problems so far, just red light
I made a little investigation ;-)
The red led is on alert output of http://www.ti.com/product/tmp102 http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tmp102.pdf
When it's shining, it means, the temperature exceeds the user-defined limits (high or low temp). What's wrong with my board I can't say, but the board is cold and it hashes ;-)

Should we update the firmware?  Does that require a JTag cable?

You should try it, see if you're happy with the performance. Yes, it requires a Jtag cable. Shall we start selling these too?

I ordered a JTAG cable so I can do this, but I would like to have some type of instructions. The firmware? If you can send me them I can host them, and the instructions.

blackarrow, I notice in the email above that it gives a dispatch date of June 10th.  Is this correct?  I was under the impression that even purchases that are not bought on the Group Manufacturing deal would not ship until July.  If I placed an additional non-group purchase now, would that one ship in June?

We're doing our best to get more FPGAs. It looks now that on June 10th we'll get 100 FPGAs and June 20th we'll get a lot of them! So, we'll be able to ship sooner than 17th of July.

Do you mean that you will stop taking group orders for the current group on Wednesday? Or that you will stop taking group orders?

The demand for group manufacturing is not big enough to make Xilinx happy to manufacture new batches every week. We will need to make group manufacturing batches slower so we can gather more orders.
