Binance Says Hackers Stole Bitcoin Worth $40M

https://dcebrief.com/binance-says-hackers-stole-bitcoin-worth-40m/

It seems that exchanges are stil vulnerable. Even the best of them Undecided One more reason / reminder, that it is important to store coins in an offline, cold wallet Wink

At the same time all this hacks are great case studies for DNotes, so the team could learn from the others mistakes and minimise the risk of hacks when they will set up its own exchange Cool

Starbucks Partners with Microsoft for ‘Bean-to-Cup’ Blockchain Tracking Program

https://dcebrief.com/starbucks-partners-with-microsoft-for-bean-to-cup-blockchain-tracking-program/

Starbucks has partnered with Microsoft to create a new blockchain service that will enable coffee to be traced from the grower to consumer. - Not very useful in my opinion, but still cute in a way Cheesy And of course it is always good to see blockchain technology being used by more companies Wink

It's a great thing that well established companies with the funding behind them to blaze the trail and open these doors. There will be great value in supply chain tracking and transparency, and it will allow consumers to vote with their buying power if they wish to support specific buying practices like sustainable resources and punish practices that they don't agree with. Should be interesting.

True Wink Still it would be even more amazing if Starbucks would decide that customers could pay with the crypto Cool But OK, I do not doubt that sooner or later that will also be possible  Cheesy

SecureKey’s Blockchain Identity Verification System Now in Use at Five Canadian Banks

https://dcebrief.com/securekeys-blockchain-identity-verification-system-now-in-use-at-five-canadian-banks/
It is so good to see such deeply invasion of Blockchain technologies in to Canadian banks (five for now). Blockchain, basically can bring a lots of things to financial industry, especially banking system. It is not only helpful in Identity Verification System, but also helpful in data processing, storage, and banking transactions.

Welcome tranthidung! Absolutely, although identity verification systems have been a contentious topic in this industry, built in identity verification will make it more useful for traditional financial systems to integrate with and that will ultimately benefit everyone.

It's turning out to be an interesting day for Bitcoin -- many were very apprehensive over which way the likely sharp movement would be based on the charts, and I think many will be happy to see that the price has made a fairly big jump upwards of around 13% at the time I wrote this. I still expect the markets to go sideways for some time yet, but this is a welcome movement for general market sentiment.

I just hope it is not again just temporary spike in price. It has been like this a few times in the past few months and the price then again suddenly dropped after a few days Roll Eyes So I will wait a few days before regaining my optimism  Cheesy

Hmm...it seems that I was right Roll Eyes I do not always like it when I am right, in this case I would rather be wrong Cheesy Tongue

It reminded me the words of Henry Ford:
“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t. You’re right”

Our thought leads to our action and result. We all have our unique strength and natural talent. Unlock that greatness and focus on the positive. Yes, you can.

Thanks, for a very inspiring article, Heather.

NANO is up $1 to 1$ to 1.96 since getting on Binance. Funny they have a lot of the same features as DNotes. You can argue the differences but they are moving up and we aren't. They are not even advertising either but they are and up. I guess the Dev's took a chance and probably made there money back in the last month after signing with Binance. I know it looks like DNotes is just trying to get everything free. In today's world, not going to happen!

Well, to be fair, Nano will be funded from when it had a market cap of 4 billion dollars ($31 per coin) and a liquid market within which to liquidate coins -- the founders would have certainly used some of the gains to fund continued expansion. Instead of selling coins onto the market, we are looking to generate external revenue with which we can continue funding DNotes. We do not know the circumstances or arrangement of Nano's inclusion on Binance, but comparing us to a coin that once pump and dumped up to a 4 billion dollar market cap is not a reasonable comparison.

We haven't been trying to get anything for free, we have made applications and offers at all the exchanges that we want to be listed on. We are well aware that getting onto larger exchanges will boost liquidity / trading volumes and likely result in a boost for the coin (and this will likely happen whenever we list). We are also aware that we need to build revenue structures into DNotes Global which will make it a more attractive investment to traditional investors who include revenue and traction as one of their investment metrics. If you build an ecosystem of profitable business units that earn the company seeking investment money, while also working to grow its exposure to various groups (business groups, crypto news followers, women's tech groups etc) then it is looked at favorably by such investors.

When speaking in terms of traditional investors, this is by my experience definitely true. They take revenue and traction into serious account when making investments. There is the biggest difference (the way I see it) between traditional and crypto investors. Crypto investors are (or at lest were) prepared to invest a lot of money just solely on the promise of the authors of the coin or the technology itself. While the traditional ones fist wanna see that the thing they are investing it really works Smiley
