I think there is a future.Especially for waves, eth, etc

I agree, the alt coins you're referring were already on their way to parallel BTC but what about other new alt coins? Of course, they'll gonna be and it doesn't mean they have no chance to be on top of successful digital currencies. Let's just wait and see and let some people will invest some promising alt coins that probably has good marketing, developers and support.

I am not a believer of crypto , but I think some of the altcoins will success in future. To me , I invest in them , then get return or get loss.

That's a good idea, and a point that your investments will have profit or to loss. The point is that BTC's investors has trusted in many ways so it's either they win or lose. It's a risk should be dealing with but they're lucky because they invested a good technology that became the most popular and leading digital currency ever existed.

seems like a lot of people are believing in it!

Nowadays, it's not very easy to trust people and so as the products that made by them. It's a matter of time that BTC really crossed the limit and become the first crypto currency that is acceptable and trusted by people. The future of alt coins are the same with BTC with different strategies, framework and marketing.

That is the question long time ago that BTC value is less than a dollar. So, it's common that every new technology was brought out will become less in terms of massive attention behind any marketing. I think every good technology has a future but it depends if it is profitable by investors or useful tools on productivity.
So, we are now the BTC's future and so as Alt Coins out there that are waiting to parallel BTC's path.

Altcoins future depends on developers, the crypto domain is more competitive now than any time before, therefore developers who want to save their coins future should work hard to deliver products with real use cases.

Most of these coins are going absolutely no where, as we have seen over and over again. However, this does not mean that people should stop trying. Who knows, the replacement for BTC may eventually rise up and come from this space. Maybe, maybe not.

I'm wondering, is there any chance that alternative coins will replace the dollar?

Because of the way Bitcoin is popular, most people believe other Altcoins won't boom like how bitcoin did...
Believe me its only a matter of time, altcoins like Ethereum, Zcash and other will boom just like bitcoin did.
So, its better to buy them now and invest in it.
Just buy, save it and forget about it. Then remember about them when the price is high...

I think that some alts will be here in the future, not all of them of course, but some will be here. When I already mentioned illegal, maybe we should think which coin will be suitable for that. Monero, zcash, or some other that offers more anonymity then bitcoin, that coin will have a bright future for sure.

Obviously. As long as bitcoin has a future which I am sure it has, there is always a bright future for many different altcoins(Ethereum, Litecoin, DeepOnion etc). On the other hand, the shitcoins are simply useful short term holding and not good as long term investments.

Altcoins, whether with a large or small cap, do have a future and read everything carefully to get yourself clarified over this.
Did you watch many coins which had volumes next to 0 on Trex as well as Polo and many other exchanges (I mentioned those which are popular) and got pumped to more than 20 - 100 and some even 1000x? Can you imagine how would it feel when you lose those coins few years back (just like many did with Bitcoins) and afterwards watch its price at incredible peaks?

I had 100k Korecoins in 2014 when price of a Kore was nothing as well as even BTC was 250. I decided to delete all the wallets I had in my PC. I was shocked to see that those "mined" Kores through my PC were worth ~200 BTC recently.

For those of you who really think they don't have a future? Think again. Coins which are new or old have definitely got pumped as well as they increase in values because sometimes developers or community try hard too much to push it up with their die-hard efforts.

Actually i am not sure about bitcoin it s so unnecessary,it has got no purpose.Specially waves and 0x(first come to my mind) are faster and more usable than Bitcoin but it s main coin so i respect it
How could you say that Bitcoin is so unnecessary? You don't even have enough knowledge to judge Bitcoin as it is now. As you see obviously, it has been the first and only coin yet to have its value reached more what we expected it would be. Since its value is incremental as all coins do. Even you're right about some coins and their capabilities, still Bitcoin have properties that are more superior than what those altcoins have. I think that is what you're missing at, the concept of Bitcoin itslef and why Altcoins are called Altcoins.

Yes altcoin have a future like Ether, Wave etc. They have bright future. But every coin are not. It's just my opinion.

I agree, but sometimes it's hard to find out if the coin has a furture or not.

That's why I look after them at least once a day, just to go sure.

If you want to invest, forget and look again after a month or two, I'd buy coins like ltc and eth.

Yes,....Because I believe that Altcoins are the critical factors behind the success of BTC itself....Imagine the Crypto world with only BTC.... in these 'dump' periods (because of any global news for example); people would go out of the crypto world completely (back to FIAT) & it would be a long process for some of them to get back in...
I know that the BTC & the majority of Alts are highly related (they pump & dump together) but again; sometimes they're like crypto backups for BTC

It depends on the business model of each coin.

Unfortunately, most will fail. Embarrassed
