.........

that is very unlikely. i have a girlfriend and im rich. because of that second part alone and i know how women think, i'll assume otherwise. then again, reasonable doubt has been raised.

Why are you using a peerbet signature if you are rich, unless you own peerbet? What would a rich person want to join a signature campaign for?

yes true, logically if you are rich why you play the signature that pay is not much per month, compared to your wealth

How the fuck is this thread going still? Also I only glanced over this stupid argument, but both genders stereotype and discriminate equally against each other and as somebody who actually has a penis, women don't know a thing about misandry especially in regards to the way men are represented in media, you guys think you're the only ones who are discriminated against? Well I'm afraid you're naive and ignorant, I'm for equal rights and equal treatment, I'm not however for a Matriarchy or a Patriarchy and anyone who actually claims to care about equal rights should be too.

Enjoy this video that perfectly details on the perspective of being a white male in western society: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x64cy3Bcr98

oh man you guys are funny, women and men hold 70% similarities in all comparative categories by population, there are simply exceptional propensities at the elite level in math, linguistics, etc that we are exposed to by media daily... making us think that this is the norm.  Exceptional people get air time.

it is sad that people get so easily discouraged when everything in their heart is telling them they're right.

i heard a rumor that once you can buy louis vuitton handbags at the mall with a pink colored 1-click bitcoin wallet on an ipad that women will start to dominate bitcoin space and mass adoption will take off.

Stop stereotyping us, we never stereotype men as much, it's unfair for you guys to ALWAYS bring up either something pink or something LV.

actually every group gets stereotyped quite a bit, its naive and just plain stupid to think otherwise.

i have nothing inherently against women. its just that nearly every single one ive ever run across in my entire adult life is stupid. and not just kind of stupid, but all the way stupid. yet i know tens of smart men. there's nothing to stop me from meeting a smart woman tomorrow if she presented herself to me, but i'll wait for the day.

until then, stop being offended so easily, it was just more of a playful joke. you can go ahead and make fun of my penis size now or whatever girls find funny on the counter balance Wink

Well I'm not stupid, if you're only running across stupid women maybe the smart ones are running away from you? Wink

Before you misogynistic idiots write another word about how women are not smart enough, keep in mind that more women go to college than men in the U.S. In fact, more women get PhDs than men in the U.S. Your dumb girlfriend might be dumb, but she is probably smarter than you.

Yes we have girls/women/females who use bitcoin they also gain a hero status on btcointalk forum  Roll Eyes

No obviously i do not know what breed you are but i agree they are sure smarter than 'most' men they are also quite reserved and probably hold a nice stash of coin from the earl days.

Plus they are the ones who usually have time to sit at a computer and find out about bitcoin, i remember a story when a mum told her son about bitcoin and wanted to invest $200 when it was cents! he told her do not be stupid etc and they never invested  Angry

Any user blatantly claiming to be female
That notion is what is the very basis for sexism in the Bitcoin community, at least the bitcointalk.org community. Disagree? Send me a PM.
If you start having more confidence in somebody because of their gender you should consider the problem being in you, not in others! So stop shaming women/girls into hiding their gender. It is not acceptable.

...

I thought Tomatocage was over the top using the gender a person claims to be to judge whether they are a scammer or not. Nevertheless, his opinion illustrates how few people claim to be women here. Maybe there are lots of females here hiding their gender because of the attitude of people here, but I guess it's more likely that there really are very few females who post here.

If you give free coins....anyone beyond boundary of gender will use it.

So true.
not a lot of Girls use Bitcoin simply because they probably find it hard to learn , and beside girls don't really like technology and those stuff , at least not more then the boys .
What do you think about this claim here http://www.meetup.com/Women-in-Bitcoin/events/219380610/ that
Quote
Thought you might be interested to see that Stellar users are 34% women (compared with about 5% of bitcoiners)
says somebody called Eva G.
Though one may wonder where the source for that is, and also that Bitcoin still has the largest community, so comparing an Altcoin to Bitcoin shouldn't that community also be comparable to Bitcoin in community size as well?

Regardless of the above claim being true or false, do you know of any other Altcoin where there is a closer to 50% 50% ratio of men and women being part of the community?

Because their transaction time is quicker? I seen a article on ways to accept bitcoin with 0 confirmations, I'm sure that will catch on before digibyte.

According to this guy anyone here blatantly claiming to be female is likely to be a male scammer. That's his opinion of how many women use this forum, the most popular bitcoin forum that there is. I admit it's very rare you see a female user name here.

Alright, so I've been PM'd by a few people what red-flags to look out for since I have a pretty good track record of spotting scammers.  Sometimes I get it wrong, but better safe than sorry.  Anyway, watch out for the typical behavior from scammers who will usually fit at least two or three (and sometimes even more) of the following characteristics:

0. Newbies, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OTHER NEWBIES, EVER. There are plenty of veteran members to do business with and ALWAYS use escrow. If you're a newbie you're doing business with another newbie, there's a 100% chance that you will get scammed (or you're a scammer yourself).
1. New account (usually created within the last 3 months, plus or minus)
2. Low-medium message count with vapid posts of little to no contributory value
3. Use of a seemingly realistic first/last name as their forum account name
4. Signs posts with full name
5. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Lending (requesting a loan of course)
6. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Currency Exchange (PayPal, Liberty Reserve, Western Union)
7. Straight out of Newbie mode and selling gift cards/codes/Steam games of any kind
(they'll often be purchased with stolen CC info, leaving you holding the bag later on down the road)
8. Any user blatantly claiming to be female
9. New user trying to sell an Apple iAnything
10. Sob stories asking for handouts
11. Never send to a Bitmerch.com address for escrow!!!

Sure, whatever you say

Having said that, I think there's a whole market for girls and women to participate in Bitcoin, especially in the creative space.  Lots of female singers and artists and writers and directors can create new compelling content on Youtube and social media and get potentially paid for it using Changetip and services like that.

Or any female inventors, developers, or entrepeneurs can use Bitcoin for crowdfunding to get their idea jump started:

https://www.vinumeris.com/lighthouse

http://coinfunder.com/

https://bitcoinstarter.com/

http://ignitiondeck.com/id/bitcoin-crowdfunding/

and I'm sure others like these platforms utilizing Bitcoin to get your project off the ground.

Girls/Ladies/Women, bring on your talents to BTC.  Plenty of space available!
