I don't why people derive joy in spreading FUD across all social medium and this forum this will do more harm than good as far the price of bitcoin is concerned, most notable and common  FUD spread is this Mt.Gox dumping of bitcoin, its high time we do away with all kinds of negativity that can tarnish the image of bitcoin.

I really am looking forward with the merchant's adoption. More than the ETF. Mass adoption has always been so successful towards bitcoin price increase for the past years.

Plus I am 100% sure that only the large btc holders who will be benefiting alot from ETF. We have reached that top before without it and we will surely goes back and even more.

The topic FUD on the forum was created a lot and affect the newbie entered the crypto market. So we should not be silent and ignore those topics. Let's go over that, proving what they promote FUD is untrue and against the FUD topic.

Well, I think it's so difficult not to care about the FUD site, especially when they provide clear information. well, but I've tried not to be affected by things like that, because it can cause panic.
whatever they give to make sure other people of their speculation and fud still do not panic easily, convince yourself that you are sure of the future of the coin you buy, if you really want to holding for the long term then make sure that way, if you use it for short-term then don't be affected by fud, use your own attention and analysis

It's true. we must remain confident with our analysis.
But, I think it's hard not to be affected by the FUD. and I'm sure there are still many people who are affected by the FUD and FUD makes people panic.
Well, I feel it myself. I've tried not to be affected by the FUD, But I’m still affected. do I not have strong confidence ?

Guys it's becoming more and more popular to spread fud on this forum, I'm actually slowly finding it difficult to look up a thread of any value at all. The best strategy to combat the people who are intentionally spreading ridiculous comments on how bitcoin will die is not to raise those threads by commenting on them. Let them post it and slip into oblivion by not giving them the visibility they're thriving for. Rather create and comment on threads with reasonable remarks on crypto economy.

I will report to the moderator if there is such a thread, the purpose of people here besides hunting for gifts is to find information about crypto, but most people just make silly posts, and surprisingly many people respond. the forum must be clean of things like that.

I am really glad that someone has spoken up on this. A lot of people are simply in this Bitcointalk forum with the primary purpose of destroying Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and as such, they post several negative topics to make people panic.

Yeah, this forum contributed to fuds. And actually, it did somehow affect the market. News are posted by some member for us to be updated and our reactions will also affect crypto market. This is all depends on us if we will believe any fuds that are spreading or not. Some may make a sense but some are pointless.

I agree to what you said. If people believed in FUD news then it will only cause of panic selling and due to many people will sell their bitcoin then the price will go down too. It is one of the reason why we have very low bitcoin price as of today. We need to avoid and ignore FUD news to help the price of bitcoin recover.

That is actually a very clever idea. Maybe that will put an end to this unnecessary posts and will finally be able to see the useful posts.

I agree, I hate when random or off topic posts are accentuated, more useful post would be great

yes, I agree, because thread fud only causes panic and worsens the situation, I'm sure it's just the work of some groups who deliberately spread fud and take advantage of thread fud situations, so don't ever trust the thread fud.

Well, it depends on how you respond, everyone has a different perspective. in my opinion if you have knowledge in investing and trading you can make a profit even though the situation is quite difficult for a market like this.
and even better if you make a post that leads to knowledge or insight to build your understanding.

Good point but I believe we feel the need to respond not because we believe them but because we need to shed some lights on them and explain to them why they are wrong in what they thinking. Also, for noob and newbies fall prey to those fud, we need to comment and correct the  one spreading fud so they will be able to see different point of view and to clear things up

It's mostly not FUD, it might be users who are trying to boost their post count.
I don't count baseless assumptions as FUD, real FUD however can drive me to make a decision, so as to get the best possible outcome from how the market would react.

Well truth to be said, FUD posts are sometimes posts of people lost in confusion. Few of the reasons why some answer back is to either educate them, inject some sense of reasoning or slap them hard with the truth.

Though your point is well taken and that at times the best thing to do is to simply ignore them, i honestly feel that if the fud post can be intelligently answered, then why not?

Its not like feeding them fuel to ignite even more the fire, rather, we try to extinguish the fud smartly by providing sensible explanations to the negative opinions they have.

You have a points. Alot of people are creating topics that would cause fear into people and this might trigger a sell off and prices would tank hard. Its best to ignore those posts and concentrate on the few positive ones
