it will be great to accept bitcoin in our business it doesn't matter if only a few people in a certain place knows bitcoin you are not only accepting bitcoin for payment you also accepts fiat and I think accepting bitcoin will give some curiosity to other people so chances are they will search some information about it. I might do the same thing in the future if ever I already have my own business Grin
That is a good idea if we accept bitcoin in our business not caring about that people in our country or in our place having it or not as with that more people will know about bitcoin and bitcoin will get more promotion and success and we will get more value for our bitcoins.

What you are saying is true that anyone of them have to step first then only other will follow seeing your success and most important is if bitcoin gets legal status in your country then what ever you are imagine is you will get good success in your venture.

In the coming future I am planning to start a business at there it will be difficult for to get paid in bitcoin as it is a local business for the local people in my area but I will keep this option in that business and if someone will want to pay in bitcoins I will accept that and I know in the coming future a lot of people will like bitcoin option.
a wise idea. we must be able to divide bitcoin and real money balance. so we could see bitcoin and real money coexist comfortably. use each one has its advantages and disadvantages. it will help each element.

Pretty sure I wrote in this thread but for some reason I couldn't find them but anyway I wrote that I have long quoted alternative payment methods in my invoices, including bitcoin. Never had a sniff except for paypal until on Monday.

A client asked if I could take bitcoin but at 90% of current rate... not sure if I should accept.

I would like to start accepting BTC in the business I will create, but it's not possible because all customers around don't know what is Bitcoin and they won't start using it if I start accepting the currency as payment method. But for who have this option to accept BTCs, it's a very good idea, because you you earn a higher profit than using fiat.

The profit you make can be stored in BTC and the money you need to run your business you exchange into fiat.

No, I'm not accepting bitcoins to my mini grocery store, why?

1. My store is established in a poor area.
2. People there are not updated about new technology.
3. Fiat is the used currency.
Same here, i have a business and it is popular in my customers but they dont know what bitcoin is and its hard for them to understand btc due to lack of knowledge in internet but im willing to accept btc as payment in time.

Then you should conduct a seminar to them or try to post to your store that you are going to give some bonus like groceries if you are going to get paid with bitcoin. For sure that is going to make them curious on what is bitcoin, as we know customers now are practical they will choose what is going to be the best for them.

It is not easy.  The reason is that, the store owner don't have benefits if he do that bonuses.  Even if I am the owner I won't do that unless I know I still have profit even if I give bonuses on every item that is bought in bitcoin.

The store owner will get more profit if he will introduce bitcoin to his area as the people from there will find a new way to earn they will want to learn about bitcoin so he will teach them for pay and then he will start some services for bitcoin like exchange services etc then the owner will not lose any thing if he will provide some discount for bitcoin payment to him.

Yes he will get more profit, it is sort of taking a risk but if you are enthusiast about the profit you will get with bitcoin and you have a future sense that it is going to increase. Then if you are letting your customers to pay you with bitcoin (i.e $800) today's price. When 2017 has come the price will surely get into $900 or even thousands dollar. That's what is the benefit if he is going to accept bitcoins, only if he is a good risk taker and risk manager.

Since you're willing to accept bitcoin as a payment in the future then why not post some introductory poster for starters.  Just make sure that it is persuasive

enough that people will search for it to learn more about it.  But the problem is if the area of your store has a people filled with outdated in technology or

established a stable internet connection is difficult then don't bother because its just a waste of time.

That's good to have willingness of adding bitcoin acceptance to your business. Though your customers were unaware of bitcoin, later on sure they will come to know about it. So implementing it into your business right now gets you the profit over the years. Have hope and implement.

I would not see many problems in it. One of the things that Bitcoin needs to attract more users and gain strength in the market, is a greater number of people willing to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment, because in addition to being an efficient payment system, this allows a payment system with less bureaucracy.
Our task here is to continue to use bitcoin daily. so the more people who are interested in using bitcoin. we can take this opportunity, there will be more people using bitcoin in the future.

Accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment is still far from reality in my area as only few people knew about it. But i hope someday that digital currency will eventually be accepted here as one of mode of payments in some business like load retailing and in the internet shop.
If a store near you accepts bitcoin i think that is the time where many peoples in your place will get curius about bitcoin. And thats the start when they will use bitcoin in your place
The question is how much people could figured out that the shop is accepting bitcoin and how much of them will be interested or attracted to search about bitcoin furthermore and wanted to know about this thing. i think that if some store accepting bitcoin but don't want to publicly show off it then people won't know if they're accepting bitcoin or will attracted by it either

If I was a merchant, I could add this payment option. Currently, there are applications that make it quite easy for both the merchant and the customer. Plus, it would be good publicity for Bitcoin.
