i spend bitcoins around twice a month as i am more in a saving mode right now. but what exactly do you consider "actively spending"? each day a few times or just a few times per week.

Maybe not necessarily daily, but i mean like every so often, like for me its feeling like once or twice every 2 weeks maybe.

I still think saving them is important, but im part of the spending team so hopefully a few more merchants are encouraged to accept it.

Im actually quite surprised at how even the opinions have been throughout this topic (and reflected in the poll) i think this is good.

Actively as in day to day basis?

I don't really, I like to save it up for investments that I most likely will be making in the future

I like to watch it all grow

I spend bitcoins at least once a week, it's really convenient for me as it's more accessible than other payment means in my country.

Just ordered myself another pizza for delivery.  Wink

(i must say though, i actually wasn't going to at first but i was genuinely too lazy to go upstairs for my wallet to get my bank card. lol)
This is exactly why BTC has good chances of being popular!
People do what is more easy, if using Bitcoin is easier/faster than other payment methods. People will be more inclined to use it.
This is why I believe in Bitcoin.

I feel the same way, you always go for the easier option I see Bitcoin being used a lot for online payments as standard in the future.

Yes I do, I think that if we do not spend bitcoin stores will never accept it and it will never become mainstream. I do not know how holders are expecting bitcoin to reach massive adoption while they are not moving it, I would love if bitcoin never reached the big price a lot of people is waiting for...

Your right about the stores never accepting it if no one actually spends bitcoins, otherwise whats the incentive for stores to adopt bitcoin as a payment method?

Cheaper transaction fee's don't mean jack to a business if they don't think people will spend bitcoins in the first place.

I have to spent my coins from time to time as they are backup for my fiat income and I can't simply live without adding by BTC fund to my living expenses.
But I try to sell it only when bubble is live. I also like to buy things directly for bitcoin and if I see some good offer online I will probably go for it.

I spend sometime. Only if I need something or just for some goodies.

But the most I wait that increase. Let say I have 5BTC.

The 2BTC I spend it and the 3BTC I save it. So when I buy more BTC than I do that. So later maybe 1 of 2 years maybe BTC well increase.

Than I have money for the future. Just a trick.

for the few places that do accept bitcoin, do you currently spend the coins you hold at any of them?

I know places like www.takeaway.com accept bitcoin and i even heard CEX.co.uk accept bitcoin in stores now too, but does anyone spend the bitcoins they have or do most just onto hold them? (Or gamble them lol)

I wonder if there will ever be any retailers that only accept bitcoin.

I spend my bitcoins mostly on digital stuffs and its very perfect I can buy any digital stuff without providing my personal details. I also some times buy some mobile load with my BTC if necessary and sometimes I do gamble on casino sites and ponzis Cheesy

Half of my coins are on my savings and half of them is for daily expenses so yes, I spent my coins daily. If not then I don't have anything to spend at all. I onky use bitcoins as of now as a source of income besides USD. Cheesy
For me too BTC is one of the source of income I majorly used country currencies only but sometimes rarely I used buy Online products using BTC that too only for electronics and gadgets because BTC value will grow higher and very fast and I would like to suggest you to spend your dollars that's best
