Yes. I am spending them when I really need something to buy.
I hope the price of bitcoin will become more higher.

Yeah, its better to spend few of them and rest keeping safe in wallet, I spend my bitcoins every week as I need money for my basic stuff, so every weekend I convert my few bitcoins to fiat currency and take care of basic expenses keeping my salary intact, but its always good to see higher price of bitcoins and sell at the right time.

Im now looking to spend some bitcoins during the black Friday sale, but only if i see a really great bargain cause as of now there isnt really anything i have my eye on specifically and i don't want to spend a large amount in one go just cause.

I usually spend about £10-15 worth of btc every couple weeks but i may stretch my budget if the right deal is there.

Well as for me I have a mining contract that provides the bitcoins I use to pay for website hosting, VPSs, etc.. Having a constant stream of side income really helps.

On the side note, I noticed that a huge chunk of merchants accepting btc are on e-commerce. That just shows how much work is still needed for brick-and-mortar adoption.

Only when I need to purchase things here in the forum due to lack of adoption

That is true as of now bitcoins are not accepted in many places to buy items online but only few services we can buy using bitcoins. Mostly bitcoins are used in gambling purpose so if any one actively gambling then they may be actively spending. I also use to buy some digital products on this forum and never used to any service outside this forum.

I am following this strategy to "spend" my bitcoins (because in my opinion this is not a real expense, but an investment): I use to trade in forex my fiat money; when I need to withdraw money my brokers give me the option to withdraw it in BTC or dollars; when BTC is cheaper I whitdraw only BTC, and when BTC is high, I use to deposit into my trading account a good amount in bitcoins, this way I do a kind of beneficial exchange.

I am not aware of any retailer for clothing that accepts bitcoin, for hardware there are plenty of options.

But a little google search brought pleny of options:

Nowadays i do almost all of my groceries and other smaller purchases with bitcoin debit card. I can pay everything exept gasoline from automated gas stations by BTC. I´m also considering to have (part of) my salary and pay all of my bills by bitcoin. I just need to make sure i buy same amount or more BTC than i spend them monthly Smiley

Thats awesome, whats the rates like paying with a bitcoin debit? i imagined it would of been quite expensive, but i would love to be in that position, my HOPE is to have between 1-5 bitcoins in cold storage by the end of 2016 and up to 1btc in a hot wallet to spend when i need too which i hope to keep topped up to use whenever i need too.

There´s no extra costs or fees when paying with btc -debit card, only 1usd mothly maintenance fee. So far it has been working everywhere just like regular visa (debit) card. If you withdrawal cash from atm, then there is a few euro/usd fee but i personally rarely need any cash nowadays. Sure there are usually some fees when buying btc (to "load" card.) I can change euro to btc without any fees, so i only pay 1usd/month to use my btc card Smiley
I still have some coins i have bought with lower price than it is today, so i like to think it´s sort of free groceries for me Smiley But the main reason to use btc is to support btc economy.

Thanks, i think the bitcoin debit card is such a great idea, i think now maybe i will look into getting one to use and split my hotwallet with it.

Do you mean like buy a Bitcoin Jacket? or Buy a Jacket with bitcoin?

If its the latter, maybe a bitcoin card would be handy for you also, then you can buy any jacket with bitcoin =)
