Topic: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? - page 116. (Read 142276 times)
If Bitcoin is decentralized, the idea of "Bitcoin bank" really a stupid thing. If not, it'll be good to have a Bitcoin bank.
I dont see the point in a bitcoin bank, surly it is not going to be that hard in the future to secure your own bitcoin via apps, and be your own bank, also banks cant be trusted they will start to loan more bitcoin than they have in store and then will be back to square one.
But if you use a third party app on top of bitcoin in order to secure your coins then that is basically a bank, securing your coins right now is not that hard by following some simple principles. 
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.
Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?

The idea of bitcoin is removing the third party, in which, if we agree on having a bitcoin bank, then that is the third party. It also removes the anonymous part which we all love.
If theres a bitcoin bank for sure anonymity of bitcoin would surely gone because you would really need to register up your name when you intend to put up into the bank and when this happens government would really try to control it and could possibly make taxes with it but as we all know bitcoin is uncontrollable by someone thats why government would not let this things to happen on building a bitcoin bank. These banks are useless at all though because there are really lots of ways to store your bitcoin on private.

i am not sure about the idea of bitcoin bank, because what for the bank is build while the wallet can act like a bank for us and we can manage our bitcoin by ourself and we can keep without pays any fee in a month.

That somewhat true, the biggest criminal here is the bank because it robbed the whole world and the humanity. As already stated above with bitcoin we are our own bank, soo why would we need another entity or companie to hold our bitcoins? Makes no sense after freedom we think into get inside of those companies and control.

Well if that users concern about security then i think bitcoin bank is not a useless thing because he she want to protect his her bitcoin from others but for i think it okay but im not using it because im okay with my wallet and as long as you know how to handle your wallet then it is safe.

bitcoin bank, if it operates online, then it doesnt make any difference from online wallets. Moreso if it operates with offices in different countries will be influenced by politics.
I think there will be differences about bitcoin bank and wallet, you can not say the same thing, because the wallet will be much more secure because more decentralized think In one sense it would be good because having bitcoin bank will make the coin popular and some other guy would start using it. If we will make you idea possible, I have a big question for you, who will manage the bitcoin bank?That's the question that is hard to answer since banks are centralized and we are decentralized, so it should be the interest for everyone here and since we do not know each other how can we trust a person, literally bank is a business of trust.

Some people just don't want to be responsible for their own money or whatever. It might be security concerns, or whatever else, there is definitely something that they believe a bank offers them. For most people I would assume that's safety and interest.
The crucial point for people is that banks are the central authority that is somehow giving people trust and confidence. Add that the government gives people an extra piece of mind by securing their money till a certain amount. If you take these things into consideration, then it's for them an easy choice to keep using banks. Bitcoin on the other hand doesn't have a central authority, doesn't have a government securing your money, doesn't allow you to hold it in your hand. Reason enough for people to keep walking the same old fiat road.
Banks = full control, and we want exactly the opposite: anonymity.
I agree that we are looking for anonymity, but the fact is that banks don't allow you to fully control your money. With Bitcoin you can.
The only option would be a Bitcoin bank where you don't have to put in your personal information. I'd accept only that way.
Whether a so called Bitcoin bank allows you to privately register there or not, it still doesn't change one very important thinig. And that thing is that you still don't have any control over your coins if you make use of it. People are in Bitcoin to own what they have, and not to hand over their wealth into the hands of an entity you don't know.
