Its a very bad idea afaik because having a bitcoin bank will take away the privacy  cryptos were mearnt to bring, and definitely personal data will be needed with would be compromised in the process and could bring high fees to keep these banks running.
I think that is right, I am having my bitcoin wallet as private as possible because I don't want to known making real money through earning bitcoin. And if I will withdraw a large amount ofmoney in there some might be surprised because I am not the face that they might expect to withdraw such money.

I think even if anonymous and decentralization will be lost if the bitcoin bank is present, but at least it will make bitcoin becomes more well known. up to you will use it or not

Old school bank build around bitcoin would obviously be a good PR move for community as a whole.

For practical reasons, I doubt its usefulness. Youd be basically dealing with fiat and not bitcoin then. No anonymity fof its users, no decentralization.

Also unlike in fiat, you wont be able to just visit local ATM and pay whatever you want in cash.

And how many folks are actually looking for that?

I don't think that the majority of Bitcoin users today are actually interested in that. Really, if you have nothing to hide why would you want to remain anonymous (apart from rubbing your ego, of course)? Besides, all transactions are still made public unless you are using a web wallet and don't move your funds beyond that. In this respect, banks would not much differ from them, anyway. The government can still access the records and personal data these wallets are storing, so what difference does it make? Further, you repeat the same mantra about decentralization but you forget that Bitcoin is already centralized beyond hope. I refer to mining, more specifically

I agree. Most bitcoin users are not interested in any anonymity while using bitcoin.
They usually are more interested by the facts of cheap fees, fast transations, very less limit and no authority control. Being able to generate another adress or reuse previous is enough for most people.

Yes I agree with bitcoin bank because its nice to be in a secured institution which my money could be safe. Bank of digital currency is a vision that brings hope to those are in doubts of using bitcoin as a spending currency. Having that advantages of a bank is really a compatible ways on how that digital and fiat currency be exchanged with each other.
although it would be beneficial because it makes you become more secure bitcoin. but by using bitcoin bank. then the bitcoin system such as decentralization and anonymity would be lost? What do you think ?
The anonymity are not likely to be lost. People have the right to choose what to do with their Bitcoin and we have to accept their decision. If they want to use the Bitcoin bank, let them use it and they will soon realize that their Bitcoin will be controlled by the banks and the government. I never like this idea and I hope that there will never be a Bitcoin bank
Yes, the whole idea of the bitcoin is too get away as much as we can from governments and their control and putting our money in their banks defies that idea and pushes us more toward not being our own bank anymore which is the idea from using bitcoin, plus why need banks that take fees every month when we could hold bitcoin for free in our wallets.
Correct there is nothing a bank can do for us that we could not do with bitcoin one way or another, even if bitcoin banks became a thing, hacker will target them eventually and your coins will be at risk, while you could be targeted by hackers, the truth is they go after big targets.

There are such services. But there's a good reason not to use them -- if one day the service is gone, so are all your Bitcoins. This has already happened once and will almost certainly happen again. As of yet, there are no companies I would consider sufficiently reputable in this business.

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

Majority of the community in bitcoin world will not agree on this matter. Actually, we are the one who manage our own bitcoin that's the essence of it to each every one of us here. We are the one also choosing our own bitcoin wallet where we gonna put it in our storage wallet. And your right, the idea is ridiculous and insane forgive me for the terms. That's what inside of my mind, I'm just expressing my feelings about it.

Yes, It easier for me if i want to redeem a bitcoin into local currency, but Banks have to follow national and international laws. Bitcoin bank also need information about their user, maybe government can track the address if we bank bitcoin there. So, i dont know the answer yet.
If this happen, it will take longer time because we can see this. Bitcoin is not quite known to the world yet, we know what percentage of popular in the world who are using bitcoin and if we compared to the bank, most people living in this world knows and uses the service of the banks.
The government is studying bitcoin and it's up to them what they should do, but as bitcoin enthusiast, I am hoping they will make it beneficial for us.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.

This was the genesis block, I think btc is an alternative to bank system so we don't need a bitcoinbank, we are already the bank of ourself.
Bitcoin was built for that. The bank is in our own. We can make it safe by creating a cold storage by buying a cold storage or just making your own by using your own laptop that hasn't been connected to the internet.  Be your own bank and save, and always remember SAVE to INVEST not Save to Save.
The advantage of bank is they insured our deposits, while with bitcoin if our funds will be lost we cannot recover it anymore. I think if we will have a bitcoin bank or a bank that accepts bitcoin as our deposits, then it would be great for us. However, we need to sacrifice the anonymity, we have to be transparent and be compliant with the government regulations.
Some countries are already moving towards more acceptance of bitcoin as they are drafting policies and regulations so there will be lessened chances that bitcoin will be used as an instrument for money laundering. I think banks are also going to study how they can capitalize on such a virtual currency, or as an investment, much like their asset management service.

Really? If you like this idea of 'security' and 'bank advantages' I cannot understand why do you use bitcoins. Maybe you use it as commodity or as asset. So why do we need decentralization and blockchain and miners? Why not a 'secure' centralized blockchain of a bank without any debate about blocksize or segwit and so on. That means, another form of fiat; no the paper one but the digital fiat. To summarize do you really believe that banks are more secure than the bitcoin network? So why not to go with RScoin

People are free to choose whatever they want, where we also must accept that some people are here only to earn and then quickly convert everything to fiat directly after reaching a certain amount. These people mostly don't really care about the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. If an entity starts up a centralized service that people see value in, then it means that there is a certain level of demand for Bitcoin related bank services. Again, if they believe that's the way to go, then let them.

I'm not in favor of Bitcoin bank. Coinbase was one of the bitcoin bank I heard if I am not mistaken, but I don't agree with it so much. I remembered someone in this forum I'm not sure from what section I read it, He said that his account was closed by the coinsbase, I'm not saying coinbase is not good, my only point is if bitcoin bank be implement in this industry, there will be no difference in ordinary traditional bank and the essence of bitcoin will be unuseful or non-sense. Its decentralization will be turn into centralization which is not good for me.
yes i also agree with you that bitcoin do not need for any bitcoin yet . in fact people still want to get red from the traditional ways of depositing and withdrawal o bitcoin and  that is the reason that people want o use online wallets instead of banks .

My answer is simple, no. We don’t need bitcoin banks at all, they cannot do a single thing to make open an account on one if it existed, if I wanted to earn low interest out of my bitcoin I will just invest it in a casino bankroll and get the same benefits as with any bank in my country.
Same benefits? I dont think so since bitcoin does really give even more profits or interest that banks cant give but the disadvantage only is bitcoin price could fluctuate and funds would really be affected.Bitcoin bank is not really needed same as you said because what our wallets are for?
Yeah I know, but I was referring to the interest rates the bank gives you, even if bitcoin reevaluates itself against fiat you are still holding the same amount of bitcoins, but by investing in a casino bankroll the amount of bitcoins you hold grows as well.
Why Bitcoin is famous means no one will get to know our transaction, and there is no limit to send and receive bitcoins. If Bitcoin banks come they will maintain these all transaction details, and we will get rules and regulations for Bitcoin transaction and other problems what we are facing from local banks same problems we will face from bitcoin bank. So my answer also No.
