For me, I dont believe in crypto ratings knowing that many of the bounty campaigns that I have joined has a good and almost perfect crypto rating but turning out to be fake and scam project but in some ways it can really be helpful to a project to attract many participants and investors.
Its an advantage for the project to manipulate the crypto ratings because they can get more supporters/investors.

But thats not the case for investors who are looking for a good project to invest in. Thats why its not wise to rely on crypto ratings when choosing what project seems good and has potential.

After I read many responses in this thread, it turns out that many do not believe in rating sites because most of them run organizations that are paid for by these tokens or coins. I also agree, some bad coins have good ratings on rating sites, we also don't know how or what are their indicators for making these ratings. I don't really consider rating sites important, it's just that they really take some of the data and information they provide, where the information is very relevant.

Crypto ratings are biased. This will also depend on the likes of the author or the agency or company that they work with. If somebody pays for a good review, they will make it good.
And if there will be an opponent that wants to pay for the bad review of others, they will do it. That's how PR companies go, maybe not for all but many are like that.

Crypto rating cannot guarantee that the cryptocurrency project is really good, many new projects that have a good rating end up being a scam,
we are in the crypto currency world, not in the real world, think about that before investing

This eating of a thing has Ben foiled for quite some time now. Only newbies will believe in such baseless ratings. In those days, I used to follow the ratings of ICOBench, but in all sincerity, they have long compromised. If I am looking at any dating site, it's just for me to.look at trending projects, most especially on ICOdrops.

I think different services and then high personal opinion of the rating agencies I think Mostly it has to do with geographical regions and then maybe some adverts attached to the rating I mean EOS is a good coin but there is absolutely no way it can over take BTC in rating but then maybe they have another perspective of look

You didn't completely copy your post and didn't finish the thought))))

The EOS has never had a chance to beat Bitcoin. Especially when its developers have raised hundreds of millions of dollars in investment. I immediately said, since they have so much money, why should they do anything? That's why the developers of the EOS represent a job, doing something, but their project was not able to circumvent even the Ethereum.

If someone in a similar situation put the EOS in the first place in the rating, then someone paid money for it.

Eventually we have to review the cases to make the  exactly output . In some ways rating in basis it can upside down. We cannot depends on that, see how it works but in the end there are reason to believe.

I remember multiple projects that got the score "high" or "very high" on IcoDrops back in 2017 and 2018 and now they are nowhere to be found. So even highly respected crypto rating services/sites are wrong quite often. Now take a look at IcoBench and other "pay for a high score" sites and you will rapidly loose all of the trust in this crypto niche.

I don't believe in any kind of rating site for new projects because they are a third party broker group where they can give high rating to scam project due to money. I have enough experience to search for a good project so it is foolish for me to take help from rating site. So i will never accept a rating site for my invest.

I agree with you that the risk of a rating site having a personal agenda is there. We don't know what kind of agreements are being made behind the scenes to provide advertisement for a special alt coin.

However, a rating site always trys to be independent. So if there would be a big story of a rating site promoting a coin which turns out be a hoax, that would ruin their trust factor.

Ratings can be a good indicator how risky a coin is, but we should always do our own research and not just trust blindly a rating.

If you look at the crypto rating depending on which platform you will use, at least I use CMC and coingecko to take references. Sometimes it is necessary to pay a few btc to enter the platform, and sometimes the platform volunteers to list new coins because of the performance and uniqueness of the coin.

With cryptocurrency no one has the ability to predict the market changes precisely. Even the experts give predictions based on the previous market history and not relative to the network. Crypto rating too the same, because at times there'll be coincidence on the reality and coincidence. The same won't happen everytime. Same as this, ratings need to be considered as a point of market and then analyse about the market. This will help with immediate decision.

Most of the time no. A lots of rating site available and most of them rate ico or ieo projects and and my st of them are highly biased. I always do my research by myself. But yeah the two rating you talked about one month f them are Chinese rating. And most of the time rating depends on many factors. When a Chinese site or rating agency give their rating they have some protocol to follow cause Chinese government involved in that. And most of the Chinese rating agencies prefer Chinese products like eos tron gxchain neo than other currencies. So it's there choose. You can pick yourself what suits you.

Crypto ratings can definitely help us if we are doing our research, for instance, projects.
But I also agree that we should we skeptic, all the time, of the information we see online.
Thereby, it will always be upon us if we are going to solely depend on a particular source of information.

The only rating sites that I believe in when it comes to Cryptocurrency rating are the obvious ones, if you are a trader and investors you know what and who should and who should not be in the list, I see that they did not rank the obvious ones in the top, I don't know their exact parameters, it seems manipulated, these rating sites can rate all they want but traders and investors know the truth when it comes to market performance.
Well, some of the existing rating sites provide quite complete information. however, I don't believe all the information they provide, especially the rates they provide. I prefer to do my own research and rate it according to the information I get.
and no need to believe. I believe that all these sites take money to increase the rating of the project, but the only one thing which I look at is that if the project is not on any site, then it is a scam

I agree that it is not necessary to believe and rely solely on these crypto rating sites. These sites, based on what you stated, can be used as references but doing your own research is much better.

When I want to analyze a new project to invest in, the thing I pay attention to is the ICO Rating first. In Crypto Rating we get complete data about the project. The greater the rating, the better the quality of the project. I use ICOBench as a basis for evaluating a project's ICO on its rating.

Yes, just to see in order to make sure the data is correct I don't think it is a problem and it is only natural that everyone should do it, because basically using the crypto ranking is just an additional reference.
It also helps to find out which coin exchanges are traded, website, total supply, etc. it is useful information on the crypto rating.
