They were created for manipulations and each site has their own paid shillers so its not wise to trust their decisions and ratings about new projects. And its actually funny to see they list bitcoin as a bad crypto to invest. Cheesy
Really? Is there really a website that list BTC as a bad crypto to invest? LOL! That's ridiculous. Back to the topic, I don't believe too much in crypto rating. The reason is that those websites are too easy to be manipulated by money. Therefore, they not really do the job based on the real information. I prefer doing my own research and looking for others experiences as well as comments throughout the market. Do not believe completely in any ranking sites if you don't want to invest to an unworthy project!
Looks at the OP, he says that site listed BTC in that way. They are doing their business by creating ratings for the cryptos, so newbies might get attracted if the site has been shown on the first pages while we search on internet.

I do not believe in any crypto ratings because of the no designated body that is established by any Govt. nor any central authority which will rate the crypto and the market. So, the ratings which are published in any website and the any local news is only their own conduct of research not based on any proved evidence. So, always put your own research while buying of crypto.

I do not follow any kind of rating or surveys or even expert opinions now because after so many years i have learnt that market decides when to move, market decides when bull trend starts and it is the market only that decides when the down trend will start so no real value in all these ratings or stuff.

I remember wayback when ICOBENCH was like the benchmark for rating crypto ICO projects and many crypto investors totally believed anything on that platform. Little did investors know that, those ratings are mostly paid ratings, but crypto enthusiasts got wiser along the line. Crypto rating platforms are not entirely bad per say, atleast you have a clue about certain aspects of the project, but anyone who relies on the ratings as yardstick for deciding which projects to invest in is not a wise investor.

Crypto rating platforms are only good for knowing the details about coins and tokens that are presently topping in crypto space presently, I don't make investment decisions based on ratings, it's investment move
there are lots of things to do when you want to invest in crypto currencies, indeed the crypto currency rating is already quite helpful, but many fake ratings make the project also more difficult to predict whether it is feasible or not, if talking about ICO or IEO ratings, you better really observe it

I check on crypto rating sites to find information on new projects that is to be launched in the market. But I don't make their ratings an influence on my investing decisions. I observed that some of these sites based their scores on sponsorships and tend to rate highly sponsors. I still believe that proper personal research is still the best method when and where to invest.

Ratings are much dependent on the the one rating at times.  Personally I don't depend on many of these ratings because it's only few of them that are reliable to some extent. I rather look out for some information on any project I intend to invest in.

Try to think positively, maybe the two rating sites have different criteria for assessing cryptocurrency. If you try to think negatively then the possibility of the rating site is paid for the rating with a good value crypto that pays them. I don't really trust rating sites and only take relevant information and try to conclude it myself. As we know that we do not know what criteria they take to value coins, there is not even a concrete calculation they give to value coins.
Rating sites are usually paid promotions and advertisements so I do not believe on the data that they are uploading in the internet. I experienced to lose huge amount of money because I follow and rely on a certain crypto rating website, I know it is my fault and I told myself that I will never repeat it. I make my own research and not the ratings of those fake rating website. They are just giving wrong and shit information.

because of the difference in terms of assessment. if what is assessed is in terms of market cap, price and volume, of course bitcoin should be number 1. but if what is assessed is something other than that, for example projects or other developments, of course the results will be different.

I enjoy browsing through lists of crypto ratings from different platforms but I've never make a crypto investment decision through ratings, I'm more into new altcoins that are under top 100 on coinmarketcap, they have less marketcap and more risky but they have insane ROI

Crypto rating are useful to make sure that your conclusions about X project meets the reality.
And sometimes its kind of easier to find a decent project simply by searching through each one in some ratings.
But overall, I have a little more credit for a project that is in the rating compared to the one that isn't there

Either some crypto ratings are true or lies I don't see why this should be my problem because to me ratings are just ratings, it won't make me invest in any Crypto project, I do my own research first and do my pickings, I made good money from new coins most times not old coins

That is a great thought. I've always wondered why those rating sites do not share any info on how their calculations work, where do they get their info and etc etc.
This could help trust them a lot

Some ratings are faked, they can be paid by changing their ratings into almost perfect score but it depends.

Most of the rating sites make fake rating of a new project which is misleading for the investors. I don't rely on any rating site. If an investor depends on rating, surely he will fall in trap. He should invest on his own research not depending such fake ratings. High rating projects sometimes make scam. So every investor should be aware of it before investment.
I agree with this statement. I also do not fully believe in the rates they provide, and I will conduct a separate search and research. it's just that, sometimes sites like that already provide a summary of the information we need. some sites also rate the completeness of data from a project.
[/quoteThe same rating has already published so many times and the position has been getting changed so many times. We didn't know how credible such a party to release the rating but afaik the rating can be manipulated easily. Even if that was coming from the 3rd who has no cooperation with the project and we can't sure that's legit.
