There exist a famous saying; seeing is believing. But, I'd rephrase it to experience is believing. People talk about receiving prediction for lotto number, from mentally disabled people. And when they play it, the number always happen to be accurate. Since, I've never tried it myself, and won't do it, believing in such a vague practice will be rare. It's thoroughly an act of taking gambling a bit too far. Psychic betting is more like a form of abuse on the predictor or seer. Especially, when they're suffering from illness. And most gamblers who practice this, never appreciate the mentally disordered person with any gift. They still go about broadcasting the news of what transpired between them and the psychic. However, not all psychic are mentally disordered, yet using supernatural powers to predict games can have its repercussions on the gambler. As gamblers, it's our responsibility to book games using our brain or buying booked games from vendors. Going beyond this two method, down to visit mystics doesn't sound nice. As we are not sure of the sources of their powers or how they found themselves in that state of life. Sometimes they still fail to get the correct prediction. But, if their predictions are accurate, the gambler will only have to frequent their shrine. Therefore, putting no thinking effort on their own. All they could do is run to the psychic, if they have need of staking a game. And such things shouldn't be abused.

Psychic betting may be real or not real but it is what I can not have believe on. Betting should be for fun and entertainment and not a way to look for money or spirituality. I have heard of someone in my country that seek for supernatural help, to help see matches scores before they end, but the eyes of the person got blinded which let us know what he did that caused his blindness. I am not willing to know anything about physic betting because I only take betting to be something fun.

Do you take these Psychic predictions seriously?
No I don't take them seriously and never have to believe in them, to me, these predictions they  are mere random coincidence that billions of people on earth population can normally make predictions and we will have a small number of them  having the right prediction  that doesn't make them reliable predictors . How about the failed predictions made by this different famous persons/animals that op used as examples, that's why I strongly believe that it's all a coincidence and shouldn't be giving the much belief it's getting. Some of us have ones or twice in our life's predicted events that the results happened as we predicted so does that make us have psychic powers?

I don't believe in any of those. I have faith in a lot of things, but there are some kinds of things I doubt the result and outcome of being tired of some supernatural power or any of such.

I have seen many people somewhere in my local area when I was stable in the rural area of my state. There is this particular group of people who are good at winning on polls, the kind of betting in which they only predict matches that will end in draws, and this form of betting is always available for football.

These people always say their numbers are being given to them either in their dreams or most times they get those numbers from a mental disorder guy who walks around the street and it works for them most of the time, but till now I still doubt the legitimacy of such.

Haha, well those are definitely some pretty crazy stories about how people try to get gambling tips! I gotta say, I am more of a logical data-driven guy myself when it comes to placing bets.  Basing things off dreams or animals seems kinda out there to me.  But to each their own I guess! Folks have all kinds of different ways to try to get an edge.  At the end of the day, no strategy is perfect so maybe some of those wild tactics occasionally pay off for people.

I can't believe with those examples that you've given but about the dreams, I remember Joseph the Dreamer in the bible where he helped the king on what's about to come to them.

I guess if you're into religion and you believe in dreams, there's also a chance that it can happen with gambling and predict the lottery winning numbers or even sports betting. Who knows? We've got playful minds.

But with this octopus, I have never heard of it and that's a real crazy and unbelievable story.

Psychic betting is placing bets based on the prediction of individuals or even animals because of the belief that they possess supernatural power to accurately determine the outcome of a bet. There is the true story of Fatih Ozcan[1] who helped his boss Hayati Kucukkoylu to win a $1.7 million lottery through the power of dreams. He claimed that he received the revelation about the Euro Millions tickets from his dreams. There is also Paul the Psychic Octopus [2] who is known to predict international football games correctly. He even predicted correctly that Spain would win the  2010 FIFA World Cup. Some persons also believe in the gambling predictions of religious leaders [3] to place bets. Some people believe that lunatics are possessed by some supernatural powers so they also depend on them for predictions.

Do you take these Psychic predictions seriously?

All psychics are pretenders and Scharlatans who only care about taking your money. And they will lie to your face in order to earn a few bucks. Why would anyone trust in a word from such a person?

I would never take a psychic prediction seriously. And obviously I would warn others not to get tricked by them either.

If the psychic is so sure of his/her abilities then he/she should have no problem offering a money-back guarantee if the prediction is wrong. But they won't, because they know that they are scammers who take advantage of the gullible and desperate.

I do not believe in psychic predictions when it comes to gambling. I take more of a realistic approach to things and assume situations like those mentioned are mere coincidence. For every 1 case that goes viral for being accurate, there are a thousand cases that did not work out and did not make headlines.

Paul the octopus was not the first animal that was linked to predictions and certainly not the last, but was the most successful, which brought a lot of attention to it.

The ridiculousness of the premise makes me not believe in it at all.

You're already in a situation where you can't even trust your own damn luck, so you're going to use other people's luck for yourself, but in your case you're literally depending upon an octopus's predictions, which by the way, I hate to break to you as much as you want to believe that they are smart, aren't aware of the concept of gambling. Although for the record, I might actually do it for kicks. Cause what else is funnier than betting on someone else's betting predictions. That's just outsourcing your winnings if I ever see one.

People would believe just anything! Even more if it coincidentally happens a couple of times. If I stake a bet or pick out lottery numbers and happen to be smoking crack while wearing a yellow shirt at that time and I happen to win, wouldn’t it be Christmas everyday if I continued smoking shit while wearing a yellow shirt and winning. But alas, it’s reality and you don’t get lucky everyday irrespective of whatever or wherever you think your inspiration for staking or picking out lottery numbers comes from.

LoL I remember Paul (r.i.p.). It is ridiculous to believe that shit can work. They put him on TV because stupid shit like that attract views. It is like watching people acting retarded on youtube. You hate to watch them but you can't ignore them either and that'e exactly what they want from you. Gambling is about mathematics and math is a science. Psychic crap ain't no science so it can't guess the winners in any way. If any of these so called "psychics" are somehow making any good bets, they are only lucky and that's about it.

No, I'm not really on board with all that paranormal stuff.  Don't get me wrong, I've heard some pretty crazy anecdotes about it.  However, banking on extrasensory abilities or believing wackos possess special awareness for betting purposes? Give me a break.  Thats just not how I operate.  I prefer playing the odds and trusting the hard data.

i would believe it if Fatih Ozcan also predicted that he'd be working in that Turkish restaurant before he advised his boss to buy a lottery ticket. if he hadn't seen that coming, then it's just coincidental.  because anyone with such kind of psycho ability, they would have been winning the entire year and would not just win half of 1.7M.
Fatih would have been rubbing elbows with Erdogan if he used it properly.

i also remember that Octopus. didn't the owner grilled that octopus to crisp when the owner bet and lost?

The gambling will give the good profit to the people all the time, the lottery was the jackpot which give huge profit to the person who involved. But we can’t predict the lottery results because the winner number will be low.But the amount of dollars received by the each winner is huge compared to the other gamblers received from other games in the gambling site. This 1.7M will be the more dollar compared to the other win from the Blackjack in any gambling site. For this reason the old gambler will choose Jackpot lottery compared to the blackjack and poker games in other gambling sites.

It really works as long as it is supernatural but some persons has really come to play it a role of pretence that has the such supernatural gift of hallucinating while they gives false ful incantations as means of extorting people whereas... They demands a pay before revealing what their revelations could be but it is all FALSE.
There are genuine psychic persons who could give perfect of such predictions but they are are rare.

I remember the story of the Octopus predicting the winner of Fifa but I consider it a mere coincidence nothing else for the record even the Octopus got 2 predictions wrong out of 14 which says what is the reality and I don't really dream about betting but only about big melons all the time, not sure why though. Grin

But we all have some kind of superstition thing to do when we want to do something, like wearing a lucky shirt for an interview or holding the same spot when you want your team to win, and so on.

Yup, this is the first thing that comes to my mind, animals predicting the outcome of the football game. So it's either you believed them or not, sort of a superstitious believed as more of us gamblers are very superstitious individuals.

So for me, this could be just mere coincidence, I mean it's a 50/50 chance that the animals might predict the correct winner. But it's better to rely on our own intuition and analysis rather that rely on someone, even a person or individual to predict the winner.

Sports betting is not a random activity to risk a certain amount of money. Because there is integrity, quality, quantity and also causality at stake. And if you bet without using a certain technique or method to win, then there will only be defeat.
And indeed, in some areas, for example, if this betting doesn't use mystical things, it feels like something is missing. And sometimes there are myths about being able to win the lottery or sports betting, sometimes they don't make sense.

Personally, when it comes to this, I believe or don't believe it. I don't believe it because a fortune teller, psychic and shaman very rarely watches football shows and how could he possibly predict the outcome of a match if he had never seen a match before. And what makes me believe it is, but how come even without doing a long analysis, how come the guess is in line with the final result? I don't know, I don't quite understand this either.

Absolutely not, I think physic betting is bullshit if I am perfectly honest. This kind of stuff is psycho-babble, hocus pocus nonsense.

Often media pick up on something dumb like a pig that predicts the outcome of knockout football games but it’s a load of rubbish.

For lottery number combinations then i do heard off with some winners specially on those 3 digit lottery type that they do able to dream up those number combinations and this is why they do really make out some betting on what they had dreamt out. This is something a kind of approach where those bettors would really be definitely do on which on the time that they have dream on something specially on numbers then they would be giving out some meaning. I dont believe that someone could easily memorize the numbers on their own dreams considering that dreams arent something that you could able to remember on, on the time that
you wake up. This is something that really that unbelievable on this part but if they do won up jackpots because of this then i might say it is really just that coincidence or really just that those wins is really
just that meant for him/her.

Speaking about placing up sports bet or something those events that would happen in the future like those situations then it is something that could really be learnt up
or something that we could be able to make some research. This is why i dont really believe much when it comes to those psychic betting or whatsoever.
