Most of the time i would say i have very good self control when gambling. I mainly play poker so you really have to be patient and know when your beat. Some folks let pride take over at the table and end up losing quite a bit when they know they should have let the hand go.
It's good to have control no matter what game you are playing, it's the most important attitude to have as a gambler. Look, some are having big bankroll because they are positive that it's important to win decent amount but when the lack of discipline strikes specifically lack of control, things will change and losing will be easy since you cannot manage your bankroll very well.

You mean to say if you're an experienced gambler then you can control? But I say it is not that simple even though your an experienced person. Whether you're winning or losing time, many of us can't control our feeling and will continue until we lose everything. So I always gamble only with fixed small amounts and no need to worry about when to stop instead play either I'm bored of the game or finish my small deposit.
you will never feel to worry when to stop , keep playing until reach the highest profit or get nothing in the end it is just a fine thing. really different when you gamble excessively , stake everything even you cannot afford to lose later.
yes you are right, if we carry a limited amount of bankroll and you're ready to lose, I think you'll play off without load. but self control is always important in the game, because if it's too greedy will certainly end up with a loss. a good self control in gambling is to have realistic targets of bankroll, so we know a good time to stop.

It will always be our archenemy because its hard to be calm when we are in losing streak and we just keep on betting on rage like there's no tomorrow and craves to recover the losses that we got. And when the time of winning streak is coming, almost the same thing is happening we are comfortable that our winnings won't be gone easily.
Yes it is a need and a must that we should know when to stop and that's how we can manage to control our self from keep on gambling and losing a lot continuously. Just focus on your goal when you gamble but sometimes that goal can be abused by that gambler because as long as he is not getting decent amount of winning, he won't stop.

If you already pass through with this type of attitude that you are too greedy enough and that is resulting into a bad one for sure you are going to make yourself avoid to do the same mistake again. I am that one type before and I was too greedy enough and I don't control myself but upon experiencing that, I lose a lot and I learned from it.

This is called greediness because you are not satisfied what you had in gambling that can turn to lose all of you profit and capital.. For me if you are just gamble like in dice game better to gamble with fun and don't expect that you can make huge profit so that you will not regretting in the end. someone here posted few days ago regretting losing a large number of bitcoin that he saying that dice site is fraud..
So better to gamble with fun and if you are not feeling good with that game change your gambling game like sports betting much better..

That's one reason why I stopped gambling. Everything runs curiosity and desire to win is so high without having good financial management, and to this day I still can refrain from returning to play gambling.

Yeah, you'll know from the first time you gamble if you'd be able to control yourself when time comes that you get hooked to much. If you feel that you don't have that firm self control, then I agree with your suggestion to stop while you still can because if you have very low self control especially with things like these, continuing to play for an extended time will most likely lead to uncontrollable urges
